  1. They still suffer from it, just not as much because they don't have a power amplifier like Elantris. Also, they use human sacrifice to increase their power.
  2. I'm with Yata, I think it's clear that T was talking about the Honorblades. He wouldn't need to get a Truthless created just to get his hands on another Shardblade. (Also, https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/apricity)
  3. Except the point is to not give away that they have those sorts of things. And Szeth was made to take the Windrunner Blade because he was Truthless. Why give or even offer him a choice between Blade and Plate? The point was to make him be forced to follow his Oathstone, and kill when commanded, while still taking those murders on his soul.
  4. Sorry, that's not what Szeth said, unless there's a passage I'm forgetting.
  5. Pssst, probably shouldn't necro a 1.5 yr old thread
  6. There's a slow drop off for each type of magic. It's really noticeable for Elantrians because they get that huge Elantris boost. If they were to go to Fjorden, Aons would function at about the same level of power as the Monks' does in Arelon. The Monks have also figured a way to give themselves a bit more power while away. Seems to involve human sacrifice, if I remember the books correctly.
  7. Dalinar was referring to world spinning, rather than a round world. I'm pretty sure they know their world is round, but rotation and revolution is beyond the common population.
  8. It's possible, but I remember one about Bondsmiths, too. *shrug*.
  9. I can't find it at the moment, but Brandon wrote a thing about the keteks. Basically, he writes the book first, then during revision, he tries to find a good ketek that would fit the theme of the book. This is as close as I can find right now.
  10. I think the three main characters of the first five are going to step back--Dalinar, Shallan and Kaladin. They'll either be dead or doing something else, and be secondary characters. Given that right now, the back five are Lift, Renarin, Jasnah, Taln and Ash, I don't see how those three will figure closely into their stories.
  11. Let's keep this thread about specific questions rather than theories. Also, chances are, any questions about Hoid's past or motives will be RAFO'd
  12. I'd go with Jasnah's explanation, myself.
  13. Sorry, but Wit never mentions Adonalsium to Kaladin. He drops the name to Dalinar, because he thought Dalinar was part of oneo f the secret societies wandering around, and wanted to see his reaction. Azure never once mentions Adonalsium. I don't think she would even know who that was. Are you thinking of when Ash swears by Adonalsium when she feels Jezrien dying? That was to herself/Taln, Kaladin was no where around. I'm not sure what you're referring to about "are you following me"? I don't remember Azure or Ash saying that.
  14. I think the Stormfather was trying to bond with Gavilar. That's what he was instructed to do--find someone to send the visions and bond to.
  15. Well he hasn't tried to summon his Shardblade. We don't get his PoV after that. Also, why would he want to when he has Nightblood? His Oath was accepted by the spren. No more evidence needed.
  16. I remember reading it, but now I can't find it again
  17. The Returned are actually from Nalthis, the Warbreaker world. You're thinking of the Fused, which are Odium's version of Returned, just as Heralds (not Harold, that's a name, lol ) are Honor's version.
  18. Yep, Gavilar was on the Bondsmith path. My guess is that Dalinar might have become one of his Squires (I know Bondsmiths didn't normally have them, but these are special times), or simply been his strong right arm.
  19. Szeth swore the 3rd Oath already after the battle. It was to follow Dalinar.
  20. It has. Lopen was definitely a squire for a time.
  21. I'm wondering if someone refused to bond with the Sibling, so it was retreating due to not having a bondmate to help keep it sapient.
  22. It's clear from these that the Sibling is tied to Urithiru, and that it's not the Stormfather or the Nightwatcher.
  23. Brandon said that a lot of the spren had a lot of Cultivation in them before Cultivation settled there, so I would guess that was a factor in H&C choosing Roshar to settle.
  24. Shallan's eyes stay blue, because the part of her spiritweb responsible for the eye color thing has already been written to be blue. The Lightweaver color doesn't over-write it, for whatever reason. Human red hair is generally orangish, rather than red, too
