  1. I might have said this somewhere before... oh well. Well, I said in the Genders thread that a lot of people think that I have a feminine affect online/that I'm bisexual or gay? When I was younger I used to think that too. When I was really young -like, ten or eleven- I used to feel very insecure about the fact that I wasn't very masculine. I was basing that off of stereotypes ("I don't like sports", "I find action kind of dull") rather than anything serious, but it was something I felt pretty ashamed of for a very long time. The fact that, when games gave you choices of characters, I pretty-much always chose female (and my brother made fun of me for it) didn't help. Then... in my teens, i did have a period where I worried a lot about that stuff. "I like writing women, and playing female characters, does that me I'm trans? Am i gay?" kind of stuff. Most of which has resolved itself, but... yeah. I think my period of gender/sexual identity confusion is the most interesting thing about me. ... Oh, and I once wrote 5,200 words for a 2,000 word essay at University. I spent 72 hours on it, then had to start trimming it down, and was nearly late. I have a few weird college stories like that.
  2. It's one of my favourite fairy tales, for whatever that's worth!
  3. Well, I just finished Season One. I have to say, so far, I'm liking the show; the humor is hilarious, the animation is beautiful to look at, and the characters are fun to spend time with. Also: Bill Cipher. I've heard of that character -with some people comparing him to Discord- but... he was not what I was expecting. Though on the mater of Bill, I have a theory! One which may be disproven in season two, but whatever!
  4. Do you have a nickname? What nickname do you wish you had?
  5. How does one use a Shardspoon?
  6. This is so delightfully charming that it is my new headcanon.
  7. Well! I thought I'd check if any of your orders fit and it seems you have one which does. After all, I can be somewhat obsessive, am trying to get "in" to roleplaying, and I do like trying to fit different fictions fit together. (I'm sure there is a way to tie Equestria into the cosmere, and I'm gonna find it, and write fan fiction of it, and it will be awesome). So, if Mistrunner doesn't object... Books before friends. 17th Shard before the real world. Release dates before birthdays. I will bind others together with fictional narratives I will battle on, even if my fictional characters fall around me I shall raise my strength stat to defend those without, even at the cost of my resources Now, I believe I am owed a spren and a shardblade?
  8. For a while now, I've been wanting to get into H.P Lovecraft, specifically the Mythos stuff. I've been planning on going through the Tor re-read, and following what they are doing. While I'm doing that, though, I thought maybe it wouldn't be a terrible idea to have a topic for people to talk or discuss H.P Lovecraft and the Cthulhu-mythos stuff. (And hey, any advice you guys can give to a newbie on all this is greatly appreciated!)
  9. You guy's are repeating a lot of the comments I've heard about season two. I watched the opening theme - because I was curious what it was like- and I'm hoping that it does start delving into some of that Lovecraftian stuff (mostly because of that shot they have of what looks like the sun, which just seems too bizarre to not mean anything).
  10. If you're looking for other books, might I recommend Warbreaker? My personal favourite book of his, and it's available as a free download from his website!
  11. Oops! Sorry! I didn't realise there was a reply here! Anyway... I don't have one. Time for backstory! See, in the UK, G.I Joe has never really been a thing -or it wasn't while I was growing up anyway. I'm not quite sure wy -probably marketing reasons, or trying to appeal to British kids since G.I. Joe is an obviously American term- but in the UK, the brand was re-named "Action Man". (Or at least was a licensed, UK Version of that brand). Thing is, Action Man kind of spun off into it's own thing during the 90's; there were toys, cartoons, the works, all featuring Action Man fighting his evil arch-nemesis, Professor X. So... I grew up with that. I remember seeing at least one episode of G.I Joe as a kid, and I definitely know of Cobra Commander. I've always been a transformers fan, so my first "Real" exposure to G.I Joe was Cobra Commanders cameo in the third season of the G1 cartoon. ...I did see the "Rise of Cobra" movie, though I'm not sure I liked anyone from that film. I've been considering picking up some of the comics -since I read some of Hasbro's other stuff- but right now, I don't really know anything about the Joe's. Sorry!

What question hasn't been asked that you wish had been asked, and what would be your response to it?

...If that's the case, can the Herd get an offical pony forum skin too? It's only fair! Also, I suppose a frosted over look for Newcago...
  14. How is NaNo going? If you don't mind my asking...
  15. I realise the navy is somewhat different nowadays than it was way back when... but. I've been planning on doing a naval-based fantasy series for a while. Would you mind if I PM'd you and asked for information?

    Ask Lefty anything

How has your forum experience changed over time? I think I remember you taking a short break, so...
  17. Please direct all questions to my largely inactive AMA, dear. Anyway... favourite animal?
  18. Since Edgedancer mentioned her... Clara. Give us your thoughts on her: the good, the bad, what works, what doesn't, what you'd change, and how you'd write her out.

And if there is, do we have permission to spam user's with meme's saying "Give in to the Dark Side of the Forum"?
  20. You like Frozen and Elsa, obviously. What do you think of Iceman?
  21. Random cosmere point: Huh. So, maybe that's where the Sixteen Shards thing comes from... Anyway... thanks for the advice! Since you mention roleplaying -and since I am trying to get into that, on this site and others- I guess I'll follow that up with: do you have any advice on how to start or get into roleplaying? ...And, for non-writing related question: Arrow has been my "theme" since joining this site. Have you ever watched it?
  22. Any form of assorted geekery at the wedding?
  23. Favorite member of the Bat-family?
  24. Okay, so Sanderson on Superman, Wells on Batman. Who, in your dream universe, writes Wonder Woman? And, since I've started watching the show... any crazy Gravity Fall's theories?
