Oh gosh! Kingdom Come! (The artwork is so pretty...) Anyway... what do you think of Kingdom Come, specifically the morality of it?After all, while I certainly agree that killing is wrong... Superman doesn't really offer any counter-solutions to the eX-Treme villains of the day, and it is hard to feel bad about something happening to the Joker. Do you think that undermines the morals of the story, or enhances them, by demonstrating that you can't cherry pick when to kill and when not to?

What is your prime directive?

Male- mostly anyway. Apparently, I give off a "feminine" vibe to people online, though? I have had a surprising amount of pople either assume I'm female or -supposing they know I'm male- thinking I'm either gay or bi. (No one on this forum, before anyone says anything! It's just a... surprising trend I've noticed in my online life.)

Hey! Okay, so... You guys might have noticed I like MLP. Recently, I've started reviewing MLP fan fiction, over on FiMFiction, and... it's been going pretty well. And then I got a request from someone. (Okay, so I'm still totally in shock that someone actually requested me to do their story, but that's neither here nor there). The problem is- the story in question is a crossover with a series which I have never heard of, called Shadow Hearts. There isn't any rush on the review- I warned the author that I'd be looking at it from the perspective of MLP, and that I have a few projects to do in the meantime... but even so, i feel like I ought to do some research on the source material, in the interest of fairness if nothing else. So... does anyone here know anything about Shadow Hearts, and can you give me a crash course?

I wanted to say this yesterday, but internet died... Basically, more bisexual characters in general is a pop culture is a good thing; I think bisexuality is a lot harder to represent onscreen than hetero- or homo- sexuality (particularly since narratives might present a same-sex encounter as just someone coming out of the closet), but that's more reason why there needs to be more representation. Especially bisexual male representation. I love Arrow, and I love the fact that their Black Canary is/was/spoilers a bisexual female... but "bisexual female" is a role which gets a lot more representation, probably because it let's producers do/suggest titillating girl-on-girl stuff while still having an (in effect) "straight" romantic arc. As fun as Lost Girl and Torchwood could be, I had a constant fear that the gay romance was going to be killed off/broken up/wahetevr to enable the BoDyson, or JackGwen hetero-romance stuff to happen. Which... is fair, in a way; after all, bisexuality means being attracted to both, so it would be a fair resolution... but not one I think is entirely a good idea. (It's why I like the fact that Black Canary's female love interest was genuine, but that's neither here nor there). Bisexual males on the other hand don't seem to get very much attention at all, so... ..I don't know where I'm going with this. I can maybe see Renarin being bisexual -simply because he isn't a main PoV character yet- though I'm not convinced any of the Kholin men are.

Ah... I actually haven't read Elantris, to be honest. Though now that you mention it, I think I remember seeing your name before... And yes. Very, very much so. Though I don't really want to spam up your introduction thread with my pony talk, so if you ever want to talk about that, we have an MLP group in the social forums group (which can be accessed by clicking the picture in my signature!), or feel free to PM me. I talk about pony a lot.

Here's the odd thing. I write a lot of Pony fiction. I analyse the world, themes, and head canon's. I'm working on FiMFiction reviewing Pony fiction now! My point is, i think about MLP a lot. I don't think I'd want to write an episode. It would be easy for me to give an obvious answer, like "Lyra and Bon Bon's wedding", or "A Princess Celestia episode", but that's stuff which is, at best, unlikely to happen... though the fact that season five has had an episode where Discord is the main character (rather than a supporting one) and another focused on the background characters makes me optimistic that an episode focusing on the Princesses might happen next season, at least. But the show does have a pretty fixed format, which I don't know if I'd be able to work in. My personal stories at the moment are a tragedy, a pulp adventure and a comedy, and none feature the Mane Six- because while I like the mane six, it's the fanon and fandom which really sucked me in. That being said, I do actually have a few ideas which might make decent episodes of the show. The first would be the Princess episode I mentioned. I've always wanted to see an episode where Celestia and Luna give the reins of Canterlot to Cadance and Twilight for a day and take a vacation; while Twi and Cadance would have some funny scenes, I'd mostly want to focus on finding out who, exactly, Celestia and Luna are when they aren't working... especially Celestia. Then again, I'm not quite sure of the moral of it... it's mostly because I want more Celestia. Luna multiple episodes, but Twilight's mentor gets zero? Something went wrong somewhere. The other... I would love to see a sequel to the season four episode where Pinkie is "revealed" as a cousin of AJ's. I'm not quite sure what, but I rather like the idea of AJ visiting the Pie family rock farm and volunteering there for a few weeks; after all, it's still farm work, and I imagine her hard working work ethic would help her fit in, even if the family is a little different than she was used to. Though for the moral.. I'd say focus on Pinkie Pie. We've seen her worry about being replaced by Cheese with her friends; this might be a good sequel to that, with someone who "fits" into the family coming in and threatening to replace her. Ending with a re-affirmation of the bonds and importance of family, obviously.

Since I've figured out how to put in videos -and because, let's face it, the fan animations this fandom has are awesome- I figured I'd share two of my favorite animations, both video's which I found pretty soon after getting into the fandom.

Well, I'm a part of the fandom for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. ...But seriously, while there are other things I like -like Doctor Who or DC Comics- MLP and Cosmere are the only fandoms I'm... somewhat active in? I review stories on FiMFiction, and I post here occasionally, so...

So, for the longest time, I've wanted to write comic books. The biggest stumbling block, however, has always been that I have zero artistic talent; and, honestly, I'm not especially interested in drawing a book, so much as I am in writing and collaborating with someone to create a book. So I shelved the idea as one of those vague "life goals" I want to achieve eventually. ...Then I sort of realized there are artists here, so... I thought I'd ask. Would anyone be interested in trying to make a comic with me, most likely to post on this site? To be totally upfront about it: it would be unpaid. It's mostly about practice, really; writing for me, drawing for whoever does that, and general, collaborative story-telling for everyone involved. Which is also why, while I do have a few story ideas, I'm not totally locked into doing one of them; as I say, I want to try and develop an idea with whoever I end up working with, which fits the stuff you are interested in. At the moment, I admit, I'm kind of eyeing doing spy, superhero, or slice-of-life stuff, but... I'm open to negotiate with anyone who might be interested! (Which is why I'm not going into ideas, but I'm happy to if you want? Just... seeing who is interested in general, I suppose.) So... any takers?

Well, Cameron wasn't involved in T3, which explains some of the changing morals. (Though frankly, T3 also was lacking in Sarah Conner. I didn't mention her in the post, but maybe I should now- Sarah is, if not my favourite fictional character of all time, at least in the top three). Anyway... I... Kind of liked Genisys? I'm not going to say it was good- it has problems- but Wolven was right. I had fun watching it, and I enjoyed it more than Jurassic World... though I also have more nostalgia and favoritism for the Terminator franchise than I do Jurassic Park. (Still gathering thoughts though, so I rserve the right to come back later and blast it to pieces.)
