Absaloutley! I think I missed a bit of my point -that biological SEX causes tension in society, even before considering for gender, enforcement of stereotypes, right and wrong ideas etc- but gender stereotypes are certainly harmful, to both sides. And thanks for the offer!

...I think I'm missing something. Can someone PM me with why "Spook" is offensive? I thought it was just another word for scary, and a slang word for secret agents/CIA (there's a shoe titled it after all...)

Is it possible for someone to become a duralumin savant? Considering how a duralumin misting wouldn't really get any benefit from it, I'm not sure how they might be able to tell... but throughout the series, we see Mistborn burning duralumin and other metals to achieve a greater effect. Since Duralumin immediatly burns up the other metal's, does that mean they aren't being burned long enough to induce savantism? Or is the fact that so much is being burned instantly help someone to become a savant in whatever the other metal was? For that matter... what would being a duralumin savant in itself entail? Any WoB's or MAG information on the matter?

Lemon's. No idea why though. Who is your favorite fictional character? -
Absolutely true, in theory. In practice, it doesn't actually work out that way- look at... the vast swathes of human history where women weren't supposed to be able to work, own property, or vote. Then the fact that gender stereotypes and renforcement are very totally A Thing (at least up until about this generation), and... I agree, people should be treated with respect and dignity; gender should have no baring on how we treat someone, the same way that their race shouldn't, or their religion shouldn't. But I kind of sucks that there are people today who do still enforce that kind of stuff, whether actively, passively, conscious or not... (Not.. really disagreeing with you, since I agree- you're right, how someone views themselves shouldn't factor into stuff. But the reality is pretty starkly different, i think...) ...And actually, while I'm here... Would anyone who identifies as trans mind if I PM'd you? I'm considering including a trans character in a story I've been bating around and I'd kind of like it if I could ask some questions and stuff as research...

Added fridge horror? Mules exist in the world of Equestria. Rarity and Twilight Sparkle -frakin' Twilight "Princess of Friendship" Sparkle!- both sue mule's as derogatory example's of things ("Mules are ugly"/"that pony is as stubborn as a mule"). And mules are so used to this, that they don't even blink and just tell everyone they didn't take any offence to it. Heck, if you want to go really creepy with it... Cows talk; there's an early episode where Sheep talk too. So why does AJ have a farm with them? Why are sheep "rounded up~" by dogs, when you can just ask them to move? (My explanation is early-installment weirdness, since we haven't seen Mooriella or talking sheep for a few seasons now, and even the mule joke got phased out... but still. Equestria, man.)

"If I did not have the Lord Ruler's faith, do you think he would have allowed this building to be erected? Think you that he would have come here and witness our proceedings, and leave without removing me from this position, had I not his confidence? "As that may be, however, I shall admit; this is a point of great significance. If you should wish to appeal to our Lord directly to pass judgement, such is your right. But I should warn both of you; though we share the same blood, his Enforcer is less merciful than I."

Lord Queade sat in reflection, staring at the accused houses coolly. As Lord Uethorn spoke of executions, however, a frown creased his face. His mind flashed back to the courtroom, so long ago- and yet so recent. Kliss Tormander, the Lord Ruler, and the reflection in Raynah's sword... He stood, pressing his gloved hand's upon the table. "Lord Uethorn is correct," he said, his voice level. "What the two of you are accused of is more than just theft and murder. That you not only turned against your fellow noble's, but you used the gift of our Lord Rashek to do so. That you broke the fellowship of our Empire with blasphemy." He turned, focusing on Erikell.. "You especially. Your family was one of the one's chosen by our Lord to receive his allomancy. "Make no mistake. The decision reached on this matter will, as Lord Uethorn suggests, be of great import. But I will remind him that that decision shall be mine." You know, since... law courts and all.

Wasn't sure where else to post this but... has anyne had any outrageous theories, guesses or ideas about how things would/will go in a Brandon novel? (Being proven wrong by it is still acceptable) I have two Stormlight ones... First: During my read-through of Way of Kings, I was really confused by Kaladin's flashbacks. Considering how much the narrative emphasized his incredibly luck, his ability to survive, his skill's, and his existential angst over everyone dying around him (not to mention his glowing, and the Highstorm Vision), I thought he was a Herald, possibly suffering from amnesia... so I couldn't figure out how he was also a kid in his hometown. WoR Spoilers
