    it's drake and aman lol

make it easier for everyone and vote the open wolfing guy Drake

there's no time to solve me/aman today but drake should be a confirmed elim

No no no. You're supposed to claim normal villager in this situation. Smh.

Well, since you've decided not to do that. What's the vote count in the doc?

We literally can't 😛 one of us (me) is being honest about the situation (hence my rolling over), and Drake is trying to cause maximum village confusion / hope to get y'all to spare him as long as possible and kill me ASAP so they only need to kill my contact friend :( I am dying today no matter what because of the kill, so I would rather us vote Drake or Stick now that he outed her without considering village fun smh

Let's assume, for a second, that you are telling the utter truth. You are in fact the Informant, and are going to die today. How does the Village win in this situation?

Stick is basically allergic to locking her vote smhhhhh

    what was it she said

my vote is on Drake in spirit

well that's a paraphrase but it's pretty close

    Aman (1): Drake

    No Vote (2): Aman, Stick

    (2) Aman: Drake, Stick

    (1) No Vote: Aman

Part of the reason Stick caught me and voted me was my refusal to go for the self-destruct C2 win 😠 all I wanted was to give the village a gud game and rope my Contact into the fun, but nooo. Though if I was elim I would have found the three of us suddenly dying C1 with no indication of it happening in thread very very funny. I wanted to see the reactions, but it would have doomed the village, as Sart brought up

Would you two mind sticking to a consistent story please?

  4. Oh boy. I get here, and there's already three elim claims. Joy.

Barring any gambits, the village is in a hellish situation. Let's assume for sake of argument, that Drake and Aman are actually evil. Let's say we vote out Drake, and Aman dies in the night. Then we vote out Stick as the last claimed member. They kill a Villager, or hit the Insider, not killing them. Either way, Cycle 3, the Insider has access to the kill, and wins the game, unless we somehow manage to vote them out on Cycle 3.

That being said, this reeks of a gambit. Aman and Drake claiming something suspicious? What are the chances?

  5. Sirta had to examine the facts. There were only six people left alive, and somehow there had been two Thug claims. He knew, of course, that he was not a Thug. As he had bloodily demonstrated, he was a Coinshot. Despite his survival in the Night, Rem had not claimed to be a Thug, and instead was claiming Lurcher. Furthermore, Pending had claimed to be a Seeker, but had admitted that was rubbish. If Pending had claimed Thug before that gambit, it would have greatly harmed the ruse. It was still technically possible, but unlikely. Furthermore, they had to have a Tineye among them, or else the messages would not go through. Didn't that fill in the role list though? One Coinshot, one Lurcher, two Thugs, one Tineye, and one fake Seeker. He supposed Pending could actually be the Tineye, but it didn't quite fit. The message was extremely short, not fitting with Pending's grandiose style. One way to confirm it though. @DrakeMarshall Are you the Tineye? If not, who is? The other two would then be our Thug claims.

"Alright, time to draw the curtains on this."

"Another one of the traditional ways of celebrating Rollovet is by scamming people," Lord Pending stated pleasantly. "And I am ever a traditionalist to the bone."

"You know how I said I was a Seeker? I'm nothing of the sort. Happy Rollovet!"

"I apologize for giving you all a shock. But it has cleared up a few questions, I'd say. I hope it was worth it."

"By his reaction, I'd say that I strongly doubt that Sirta is spiked. I think a real spiked coinshot who'd garnered votes and then had just been outed would've had a pretty hard time mounting such a fierce denial. Sure, he might've denied it, but the conviction just wouldn't be there. He'd know that even if he defended himself he was dead either way, and that undermining my credibility as a Seeker was unlikely to work. It takes a special kind of madness to keep fighting just as hard under those odds. Sirta's reaction feels quite genuine."

"I am sorry about dragging you out into the open like that, but I had my reasons. There doesn't seem to be very much metal in Copper's Bend. How many vials did you start with? One? Two? Don't answer that. The point is, by all rights it probably isn't very many, and you've already burned one. Like I said, we're all on fairly even footing here, especially if you've already burned your one vial of metal. The need to hide and protect those with special powers is less pressing than it might otherwise be. And again, if I'm wrong, if you do have a remarkable hoard of metals squirreled away... Probably don't tell me that."

"Not to mention, if I could figure it out, other people can too. I know for a fact that other people are working from a largely more complete picture than I am. If I can fill in the gaps then it figures that they quite probably can."

"And for what it's worth, it also seems likely that you'd have had to have revealed yourself today anyway, due to leading in the vote."

"I'll confess it wasn't very polite of me to force the issue rather than letting you choose to reveal in your own time. But I had my reasons."

"In any case, this resolves one mystery that was vexing me today: it seems quite likely that the coinshot is on our side."

"This is consistent with my second observation: namely that Sonoluminescence looks thoroughly spiked."

"Given the abundance of persons with protective powers, and the presence of a killing power on the side of Copper's Bend, it seems pretty likely that some of those protective powers were bestowed upon the spiked. It could be Rem, but I don't buy it. If Rem were a spiked Lurcher then revealing himself as a Lurcher and then hanging Sono should be the last things he wants, as this would quite possibly ensure his death the next day. Whereas if Rem were a genuine village Lurcher then these actions make perfect sense. By process of elimination, Sono seems highly suspect."

"There is also the way Sono reacted to my pretense towards being a Seeker. I think it's pretty apparent that Sono knew it was a lie from the start."

"Sono compiled a list of powers that we've heard about. This included some uncomfirmed rumors of powers, such as the Thugs. And yet it had seemed perfectly natural to Sono to leave out that I had claimed to be a Seeker, without explaining why or even vocalizing that they didn't believe it was true."

"Not very long after, when Sirta asks Sono to pick a side, Sono decides to vote for me. Again, with no explanation given, without so much as talking to me directly even once."

"This is very strange behavior," Lord Pending says.

"You'd think a townsperson would be more inclined to grapple with what both sides are saying, figure out which one is telling the truth, maybe get mad at the one who is lying. You'd figure there would be at least some evidence of them actually having to think about it, some evidence of showing their work. Or at least you'd think it would take longer for them to arrive at a definite conclusion on the subject."

"But Sono didn't do any of that."

"I think Sono knew I was lying from the beginning. Because Sono is spiked, and knows full well that Sirta isn't."

"Instead, Sono voted for me. I imagine their thought process was that whether I hang or Sirta does, a villager would die, I would be outed as a liar, and Sono would look good in the aftermath for having disbelieved in the lie. It's a reasonable approach, if you don't think you're being tested."

Lord Pending sighed, and looked to Sono.

"I apologize, but I don't really see a way you can't be spiked. It would have probably been better if I'd voted for you yesterday."

    "Are you rusting kidding me???"

Sirta angrily chucked his beer at the lord.

"I was trying to keep a low profile, in order to get the Spiked to hit a Thug! I was planning on revealing my misdeed eventually but instead you completely derailed the conversation before I even had a chance! I'm now in danger of dying, you're in extreme danger of dying, and you're trying to swing the vote to someone who was already in the lead before you intervened. If you really are a villager, I leave my vote on you in protest!"

  7. 7 minutes ago, Ookla the Paradigm said:

"I suppose there's a world where Pending is a Thug, but that doesn't explain how they correctly guessed your role out of three or four reasonable options. Perhaps a Seeker teammate could be involved, I'll grant you that. But then why would he announce the result, unless he is, as you guess, a Thug. The question then is did Pending feel endangered enough to be simply buying time with bold moves?

"What ya fail to mention here is the possibility of you having enough metal for another shot toNight. If we shoot Pending and he simply dies, we go to seven. If the Spiked fire off two successful kills, we go to five. That's a loss with three Spiked in play before we can execute you. If there's only two, we could theoretically trade kills and enter a Day with one Spiked and two villagers. They'd have a protection advantage, but if they mess up that vote, we lose."

"Be a little realistic here. Even with two Thugs on the Village side, a three man team with two extra kills would be hideously unbalanced. Supposing I am evil, which I am emphatically not, a two man team would be dangerously liable to swings with a 'Village' Seeker in play. A three man team should be under-powered compared to the Village, considering that it violates the one-fourth rule. An extra kill is a big buff."

  8. "Right then. More analysis is required. If I die and the worst case is true, then it may come to naught, but I must do what I can."

"There are eight people left alive. I know I am good. Unless he is pulling an extremely odd gambit, I know Pending is evil. However, he cannot be acting alone. I have a suspect pool of six."

"First, let me examine Rem. This gambit only works if it is a Thug and Coinshot pair as our Spiked, or if there are three Spiked. In the case of two Spiked, Rem's survival is an impossibility. Thus, I can only consider him as a member of a group of three. In that case, why go through a false attack gambit? It would be exceedingly risky, and for what? They could have much more easily put the town in a do or die situation. Why bother with two gambits in a row? While I cannot discard the possibility of this, I find it highly unlikely. Rem is most likely a Villager. @Ookla the Paradigm I urge you to change your vote."

"Then, based on the results of Day 1, that would put Dasenk in a harsh negative light. After all, he was the tying vote that spared Lord Pending. While I want to believe in his innocence, solely based on the outcome of the dream, I find it hard to dismiss the evidence against him. It is almost so suspicious that it becomes not suspicious. He's most likely Spiked, but part of me still wants to trust him. @Ookla thePresentParticiple you stand allied with me currently. Given Pending's outlandish claim, do you still feel the same?"

"Furthermore, what of Sonoluminescence? If Dasenk was Spiked, then surely Sono was innocent. There were no guarantees of this though. He would curse the town's luck if they managed to get two Spiked on the chopping block, and failed to execute either of them. Considering that Sono had voted on Pending, it seemed likely that the man was a Villager. @Ookla the Resolute I do have a question for you. Have you claimed to anyone that you've used your vial? I suspect the Spiked would not pull this gambit if protection was left unaccounted for."

"I worry I grow paranoid. I should immediately mark Onon as Villager, since he was the one most adamantly arguing against Lord Pending. However, I cannot help but see him in an ugly light. To perform this gambit, the Spiked would need to know everyone else's role, or actually have a Seeker. I'm not sure, but I suspect only Onon would have that information. On the other hand, perhaps there were incredibly loose lips around, and Pending himself could have pieced it together. I jot Onon down as a villager, reluctantly. @Kasimir in this life I am on the village's side, but just as in the dream, I ask you to change your mind."

"Finally, that brings me to the two quiet ones among us. If the Spiked needed to make a perfect picture to deduce my role, they would need a claim from one of them, if not both. Jorrick, despite not often participating in the public square, was known to chatter away in private conversations. If Pending or someone else asked to swap roles, he could believe the man would do a trade. He did not think the same of Rilla, though. The woman was a stranger to most here. If Rilla was Spiked, then there would be no gap in knowledge for the Spiked though, since she would share freely with her teammates. Thus, he suspected Rilla was Spiked, and Jorrick was Village. @JNV and @QuirksliverThis is do or die. Everyone needs you to vote."

He paused for a breath, trying to collect his thoughts. He had implicitly assumed that the Spiked had no Seeker. That was not the case in the dream, but would it be the case here? A Seeker on the side of the village would be very advantageous, but a Seeker who was Spiked would be much less powerful. In a three man team, it was possible. He didn't love the repetition though. He would suspect a Lurcher instead, given that he could have shot a Spiked.

"If I'm to make an outlandish guess, let me do it now. This is born out of paranoia and fear, but it may be my final hypothesis. I suspect a three person team of Onon, Pending, and Rilla. Futher, I suspect Rilla to be a Lurcher. On the village's side, I fear Sono was telling the truth, and that they protected Onon last night. I believe that Rem protected themselves last night. Further, I suspect Dasenk to actually be a Village Thug, and Jorrick to be our Village Tineye. If I die, may Preservation hold me in his arms."

  9. "Let me do the math for a second. There are currently eight of us. Let us assume two Spiked, with Pending as a Thug. In that case, it would be 6 v 2 today. I die due to a fake Seeker claim. It is 5 versus 2. Someone else dies to the Night kill. It is 4 villagers against two Spiked. Naturally, the village votes out the fake Seeker claim, but he survives due to his extra life. It stays 4 to 2, but then another dies in the Night, bringing it to 3 to 2. Then Pending would finally die, bringing it 3 to 1. Another Night kill, and we're at 2 to 1. That's not a guaranteed win, and makes me question this. Perhaps if Pending had a Coinshot as his partner, but even then, that's still a gamble with potentially some protection from Lurchers and Thugs out there."

"The worst case scenario is far simpler. There are three Spiked, and Pending is presumably not a Thug. Then the math gets much more tight. It would be 5 v 3 today. Again, I die to a fake Seeker claim. It is 4 v 3. They are able to successfully kill in the Night. It becomes 3 versus 3, and with ties not resulting in any death, they roll over to an easy victory. In that scenario, I fear any form of last minute swing, with someone saying they support me, before stabbing me in the back at the last second."

"The choices are now far narrower. Choose me, or choose Pending. One of us is certainly lying, and it is not me."

  10. Just now, Ookla the Resolute said:

"So the Coinshot has been revealed?"

"Correct. Considering the dream we had where the Spiked had a Seeker, I highly doubt his claim. Frankly, I don't think there is any Seeker in this village. They've merely outed me based on process of elimination. I would chastise the rest of you for loose tongues in your private messages, but it appears the point is moot. Furthermore, considering the risk inherit in this sort of play, I suspect Lord Pending is burning Pewter."

  11. 36 minutes ago, DrakeMarshall said:

Lord Pending slurped down the last of the brew in his cup and set it down on the porch in front of the inn. He picked up his cane, which hadn't been stolen while he'd been eating. He frowned. He actually kind of missed the thief.

    "Gentlepersons, it is Rollovet."

"For those of you not as cultured or as well-traveled as myself, Rollovet is a traditional Terrisian holiday. The timing of Rollovet is very important: it happens at precisely midday. The balance between dawn and dusk is symbolic, you see. It relates to Terrisian mythology," he says sagely.

"I shan't bore you with all the details, but I think we should throw ourselves a little Rollovet celebration. To maintain positive morale and such. All of this doom and gloom and death is bad business, it’s important to create those moments of positivity."

"There are several traditional ways to celebrate Rollovet, but one of the very most classical methods is to suddenly reveal midway through the vote that you've caught a spiked."

"And, well, I’m a traditionalist to the bone,” Lord Pending declared. “So, Sirta." Lord Pending jabbed his cane in the man’s general direction with an accusatory air.

"I’m afraid I have to confess to following you around last night. But I’m glad I did. The mists gave me a power, you see, different from all the other ones we’ve heard about so far. It lets me hear people burning metals. If I listen very closely… It lets me hear if they’re spiked. A suitable ability, for a Lord such as myself. It is a Lord’s duty to have sound judgement, and clearly the mists recognize that.”

“And it turns out…” Lord Pending paused lengthily for dramatic effect before the reveal, “Sirta is a Spiked Coinshot!”

Sirta abruptly sobered up. He glared at Lord Pending.

    "Coinshot? Yes. Spiked? No."

This was not how he envisioned this reveal going.

"I must admit, I'm curious about this gambit. If you're trying to draw a reaction out of me, congratulations, you succeeded. Now retract your false claim. If you're incapable of doing that, then I must assume that the Spiked believe they win if they win this vote."

  12. "Gentlemen, I am extremely hung over. Could someone please get me some water?"

This was the problem of drinking to forget. The headaches only made him want more booze. Still, he had to refocus.

"Right then. It's a bit of a shoddy method, but in situations like these, it's best to consider the powers of people. We've got some interesting deductions to make. First off, our Thief had no abilities. That certainly implies not everyone's been blessed by the mists this time around. We also had a vigilante go out at night. That means somebody is burning Steel. Furthermore, Rem survived an attack the same Night. I'd be willing to say he's a Thug, but it could be a lucky Lurch. Now, we've got two claims of Thuggery, but Onon has been holding out on who the second is. We've also got a Lurcher claim from Sono. That's a lot of protection claiming going round, and I'm not sure I buy it. We've even got a Tineye ferrying our messages about. Something ain't right here."

"I'm placing a vote on Sonoluminescence. The claim is just too fishy with this much power going around."

  13. Sirta stumbled into the meeting room.

    "I'm here.. I'm here... Can I have a drink?"

Why had he said that? Another drink was not going to help matters. It would probably only make matters worse, and yet...

"A beer! Or some whiskey! Where's the rusting service around here!"

He wanted it. He needed it. He needed that holy flame in his gut to light up his body. It hadn't been like this before. Before the nights got long. Before the bodies started piling up. Before... He didn't want to remember that last part. Better to drown it in an amber haze.

"Another beer! For the love of Preservation, what's a man got to do to get a drink around here?"

No one appeared to hear his cries to action. He supposed he had to deal with the Spiked threat first.

"Get Onon Khentii @Kasimir out here. He's jumping around more than a hare, and I want an explanation. I knew him as someone who would come up with an argument and follow it. Instead, he's balking at every opportunity, and trying whatever seems popular. That's not the man I knew."

  14. 2 minutes ago, TheRavenHasLanded said:

"i am gladdened by the defense. i am a thief, so you all have no reason to trust me. i will not accuse until i know"

"Rust and Ruin, man!" Sirta slammed his glass against the bar. "That is the problem! We will not know! We will be dead and buried before we know! We have only our hunches and instincts. We cannot wait for someone to save us, or for someone to reveal the path forward. There are no certainties in this business. We can only rely on ourselves."

  15. Sirta grimaced. "Gentlemen, I have made a mistake. When I first accused Scarlet Octopus @Aeoryi, I did not recognize them, and took them for a stranger, merely observing rather than participating in this dreadful game. I thought that by accusing them, I could spur them to action, and learn more of their character. That was not necessary. They had already come out of their shell, and were even throwing their lot into the ring. It was a poor choice, and I retracted it as soon as I was able. Considering their continued interest and engagement, I consider them my most trusted Villager."

"However, the same cannot be said of Jorrick. @JNV. I trusted that the old carpenter would do his part, and participate in this discussion. Instead, he has kept to his shop, and said very little. I expected better from him, and am sorely disappointed. I thought that I had no need to provoke him into action, but that was apparently foolish. I grow so frustrated with the fence sitters in the town. It is better to state your case and vote, than it is to sit idly by, and let your voice be swallowed by the crowd.

"With that said, I am still displeased by Revir @TheRavenHasLanded, but he has allayed some of my fears. He has remained consistently vocal, although he has refused to share a definitive opinion. Caution is an attribute well suited to a thief, but it will not win the day in this case. We must act, and we must vote. There is no alternative. Perhaps this is the fear of a newcomer, but I implore him to make an argument. We will not win if we sit idly by."

Sirta's hands shook as he considered his next words carefully. He could use a glass of brandy right about now.

"If my reckoning is correct, I have put myself up for the chopping block. All other suspects have only amassed a single vote, while I have garnered two. I fear death, but have no proof to offer that my intentions are good. I have naught but words, and implore you to listen."

"Karis, @Kasimir your voice carries throughout the entire valley. It is said that your fury has no bounds, and I fear making an enemy out of you. However, you are wrong about me, and I believe you are wrong about Scarlet. I do not think you are a Spiked though. Your thrust to suspect and propel the discussion is exactly what we need. I merely wish that your ire was directed somewhere else.

"Wendawa @Archer, I grow more cold towards you. You say that I have not backed up my actions with a threat? What have I been doing? Yes, I neglected Jorrick, which I continue to regret. However, I propelled Revir into the lead, forcing a response. Is that not the most serious threat one can make? I have been imploring the town to take action. You have accused me and left."

"As for the rest of you, I have not much to say. Dasenk @Ravenclawjedi42, while I commend you putting down a vote, your last words were complete hogwash. If you have an opinion, state it. Those waffles only show a lack of integrity. Violet @Violet, I find your focus on Wendawa slightly baffling, but I will take defenders when I get them. Upon re-examination, perhaps there is something there, but I'd like you to weigh in on the subject at hand."

Sirta exhaled. After that speech, he certainly needed a drink. He just hoped it wouldn't be his last.

  16. 3 minutes ago, Aeoryi said:

"Having a clearance sale?" He sighed, "I am not trying to shut down your business, but if you want it to continue, then we should probably stop the spiked."

"They are known for not being around very often. And besides, there are many people at a construction site. I don't exactly remember seeing him, but he isn't dead probably. We would know if that was the case."

"Gah! The man's a recluse?" That would make him easy prey for the Spiked, or worse, he could be one of them skulking in the night.
"Send a search party after him! If he's alive, we need an account of his movements. In the worst case, we'll find his corpse."

    1 minute ago, Kasimir said:

Something about Sirta's manner unsettled Karis.

There were legends of something called the Contribution Crusade. Karis supposed it was how people dealt with the Deepness in other parts. Still, there was something to it. Perhaps he was being jumpy, but for all Sirta talked about acting swiftly and decisively, he also seemed to do so carelessly. He'd thought that was something you could tell, in another, particularly of Sirta's profile. A small tell. A small sign of guilt, if you willed.

Was there genuine effort to find the Spiked? Or was Sirta simply looking for an easy mark?

Karis knew all about easy marks.

"GET YOUR MEAT PIES HERE, DELECTABLE MEAT PIES!" he called out again.

Sirta turned towards his accuser. "Did you not see what Octopus was doing? He was sitting around, waiting for someone else to solve his problems. Gentlemen, we do not have that luxury. We are only seven strong, eight if Jorrick is found. We must have everyone actively participating, or we will be doomed. There can be no weak links among us. I have no fear that you will be participating, with your boisterous voice and aggressive opinions. I worry more about those who keep to the shadows, and let others debate themselves to death."

"To that end. REVIR! @Ravenclawjedi42 I see you skulking in the shadows! If you try to leave us high and dry after stealing our coin, you'll be the one on the gallows."

  17. 1 hour ago, Archer said:

You couldn’t trust your emotions in a crowd. They always lead people to extremes.

“We’re all going to die!” Wendawa flapped his arms, trying to fly away from the suffocating crush of humanity. “Some as soon as tonight!”

It was best not to let emotions dictate your decisions, then. He would make his vote rationally. Based on vibes.

“Violence has descended upon us. Violence sounds like Violet, Violet likes sounds of violence.”

Wendawa, please, stop your flapping! We are men, not birds! We cannot simply fly away from this trouble. We must act swiftly and decisively, if we are to have a chance at overcoming these Spiked.

Now then, I believe everyone but Jorrick @JNV has arrived here. I believe he was working on the construction site, which means Scarlet Octopus, @Aeoryi should have been the last to see them. What do you have to say for yourself?

  18. 4 minutes ago, The Known Novel said:

I can't really answer the rest of your questions, but Lookouts can't see the targets of actions.

Huh. Didn't know that. Usually actions scanners can see who they targeted. @Kasimir can we get clarification on that?

Unless... Are you the real Lookout? If you are, that's an easy Counter Claim. In a game with only 10 players, 5 of whom were vanilla, do you really believe there's two Scanners? That seems like a stretch to me.

Edit: Also, I'm going to be really mad if on Day 2 the only people who voted were me and the two elims.

It honestly seems like this is more of a blatant lie than anything else. Sart.

I'll be proven right when the game ends. Consider the facts. Why would I submit the kill while under the most suspicion? Why did Experience not identify who I shot? Why would the GM put a player with an extra life on the evil team when no other villager has had any special powers? Why is the lookout claiming now, even though I was already the most suspicious person? This doesn't make sense.
