  1. @Hoid Slayer seems we both suspect each other, but I’ll vote on TOW with you. Hoid Slayer. Other than my meta-concerns about exeing TwinStorm, I’m pretty happy with the 3-way tie this results in, in the sense that I have concerns about everyone involved.
  2. Apparently nobody agrees with my NK analysis, so I guess I'll drop my vote on TOW and instead switch to Hoid Slayer. My concerns about his earlier post weren't really addressed. It's not that he wasn't doing analysis, it's that he did some but didn't really act on it. Just seems overly cautious to me. I am keeping the LG 107 folks in the back of my head though. Notably, I find it interesting that TS mentions a positive read on Hoid.
  3. What can I say? I'm just a bear with rather little brain but big Heart.
  4. This whole post rubs me the wrong way, I must say. Maybe I'll revise that opinion once you give an actual vote, but I'm not a fan of the hedging and lack of vote. Also I bet Joe feels left out of your NK list . Not to mention that I've only been elim killed C1 in ~5% of the games I've played, most of which had fewer than 20 players, so I don't think elims have much of a tendency to go after me early.
  5. I'm confused. If the NK was trying to route us into exeing people Doc listed as a rival, wouldn't the natural thing be to read those folks as village instead? Or are you saying that would be a poor plan for the elims to try?
  6. In some ways this is kinda D1. Like I said before, any reads folks got from the actual D1 wouldn't be based on much. I am curious to hear what other folks think about the Doc kill though, because that is one solid piece of info we have to go on.
  7. Yeah, I’m mildly suspicious of TwinStorm as well. But people went after TwinStorm pretty hard in that same game for bad reasons, and getting exed repeatedly at the start of games just isn’t very fun, especially if you haven’t done much to deserve it. At least during our first exe we have the leeway to take things like that into consideration when deciding who to vote out. Not to mention, at least early on, it’s not a bad idea to propose a bunch of exe candidates. That make it more likely that we end up pressuring an elim. I’m excluding TUO based on a hunch, but it’s really just a gut feeling. Somehow despite the number of games we’ve played together I don’t have a great feel for his playstyle. Somebody’s getting 3/4 rations for breakfast today.
  8. I think the Doc kill suggests that someone from LG 107 is an elim. Notably, in that game Doc had active PMs with most players, and it seems plausible that an elim who had played that game would be concerned about him building a similar information network in this game. Only 4 players are in this game that played 107: Twinstorm, TUO, myself, and TOW. I'd probably lean toward TOW being the sort of person to kill Doc.
  9. I'm not sure that the elims have much incentive to lie about their actions, especially with Sunlight Pots floating around. Especially early on, elim actions will look pretty similar to village ones.
  10. My two cents are that working on reads should be low-priority right now. There’s nothing to pressure the elims into revealing themselves without votes. Any reads folks do come up with will be rather weak, but they could still lead to unnecessary tunneling later on in the game (think of the last LG and TwinStorm).
  11. “For some reason I have this odd intuition that I wouldn’t be able to find any fresh eggs right now. This intuition is unrelated to the fact that the person requesting them wants to kill me.” Armiel nodded.
  12. “By the way, if anyone has any meal requests, we’ve got a small budget surplus. I’m planning to run into town real quick to buy a few extra supplies before we ship out.”
  13. Armiel firmly clasped thOmAs’s hand. “Name’s Armiel. You’ll be seeing a fair bit of me, seeing as I’ve picked up all the cooking from Fort. Speaking of the quartermaster, I saw the list of the trainee names, and yours looked like some kind of clerical error. Is that a mistake or is there an interesting story behind it?”
  14. "C'mon, breakfast wasn't that bad." Armiel wasn't entirely sure how to react to someone accusing him of mutiny before their voyage had even begun, but he figured a joke couldn't hurt as much as his next meal would. He flashed a quick grin. "Besides, I have it on good authority that my meals are 90% less burnt than what Fort makes." Armiel thought a moment before speaking again. "And if you leave some Sunlight Spores for me to practice with, who knows? Maybe folks will be able to look forward to meals!"
  15. Most of our games tend to have 10-12 players. Related to that, the rules we've been running have tended to be less complicated than some of what we had 5+ years ago (though occasionally we get some awesomely weird stuff like Fifth's Alice in Wonderland QF or Steeldancer's bodyhopping Olympics game). We still get a fun crowd each year for the Anniversary Game return to Tyrian Falls. And Kas made fun banners for signatures which have been drawing in a steady stream of new folks recently.
  16. I’m confused. How would you say F’s talents at singing and knife dancing compare to Armiel’s skill as a cook (wouldn’t burn a salad, but anything else is fair game).
  17. Hello! Currently the MR list has 22 entries, but Joe ran the last game at slot 17, so potentially as few as 5. We seem to be running MRs about once every two months, though I will say that myself and the other mods could probably be doing better at getting new games running after each one ends. A ballpark estimate would be 10 months, though if you have a limited time window I would possibly be willing to let you use my slot (14th) which could significantly reduce that time.
  18. Assuming I don't end up as the IM for this game, I'll play as Armiel, introduced below. Armiel wiped sweat from his brow as he ladled a serving of oats onto the plate in front of him. The recipient, a new sailor, winced at the blackened bits as he took the food, perhaps mollified by a slightly larger portion than what was strictly called for. Armiel was only a little self-conscious about having burnt breakfast; sunlight spores were blasted tricky to get right. Still, he hoped the lads would eat it all. Sprouting was no easy business - the food was evidence enough of that - and the distractions of rumbling bellies would likely cause the already alarming number of accidents to increase further.
  19. Aman said in Discord that he'd have rules up in the next day or two.
  20. You are clear to run the game if you want to, if you're busy we can look around for someone else.
  21. I had a lot of fun this game! The elims played things pretty well, and even after all voting together still made a good attempt at winning. I had fun blabbing in the C3 doc as I tried to solve, though most of what I wrote there was kinda worthless compared to what came out when Doc and Aman started posting more. And yeah, it was sad that my village attempts to collaborate with folks got cut short, but such is SE. Maybe next time I'll give a closer look to the VC before I get myself executed .
  22. Up to Aman. He can run Tress/something else, or leave his LG signups as extended and pass the buck to someone else.
  23. Well, in a v!BBB world I die next cycle based on comments from you and Aman and we lose 100%. But if I die this cycle, maybe you exe someone else. IDK. Exe whoever you want. I just don't want a scenario where it's ExLo and I'm doomed to die.
  24. Alright. Araris. Pretty sure BBB will flip green and y’all will just exe me next cycle, so it’s better to just get it over with now. Then y’all can off CD or KSauce next cycle and hopefully live to get the free alignment scan. Edit: Note that this pulls Windrunner onto myself
  25. Guess that’s my backup strat for this game. Homicide by maniacal laughter. I’ll pretend this is a ploy from v!you to avoid the NK.
