  1. Presumably I'm alive because someone wanted us to waste the exe talking about me again this cycle. And my money is on TKN as being responsible, which is why I'm voting for him.
  2. My gut is on TKN being elim. Wiz seems to be playing too haphazardly to be evil, especially since there are likely only 2 elims, so they would want to lie low.
  3. This makes me think that one of the elims also has this role. Otherwise the elims would have no control over Mat potentially flipping to their side. If there is an elim with this role, that in turn suggests that the elims would have opposed exeing any red names on the list, since that puts them further from flipping Mat. Did your role indicate the existence of Mat as a neutral and what would cause him to flip sides? I guess if you didn't know then maybe the elims didn't either. I don't think anyone @DeTess listed can be a rioter if rioting works like in standard Tyrian. That role cancels your own vote while moving another. We have a missing vote and an added vote, but the moved vote should have come from somewhere. Which means that if it works like Tyrian then TKN is the only possibility.
  4. Tineye just enables PMs. I can’t post a public message like in Tyrian, so I don’t actually have an action available.
  5. I'm a Tineye, actually. Since I'm probably getting exed today, no point in keeping it a secret. This seems incomplete. We had 3 changes from C1 to C2 (Archer flipped green while TKN and I flipped red), which implies either something else was going on, or whoever told you about Mat's role (presumably Mat himself) was lying.
  6. Well, catching up hasn’t really happened, so I’m leading with my gut. Wizard responded to me, though he hasn’t really contributed much. I’d be willing to return to a vote on him. DeTess seems village based on role stuff and the lack of a death to the elims, but I’m holding off a little on that read until the game mechanics become more clear. Both Aeoryi and Archer are giving me village vibes. That leaves JNV (inactive), TKN, Ravenclaw, STINK, and Mat. I feel like Mat has flown under my radar a bit, not sure why. I think I’m voting STINK. I have a bad tendency to just always suspect TKN and want to avoid that. Raven is new. I’d be down to do a CC exe on JNV if folks feel discussion has been lacking and we could use an extra turn to talk things through. I’m unfortunately busy from now until end of turn, so this may be farewell. Might be able to briefly check and change my vote if necessary.
  7. Apologies for my lack of engagement this cycle, I was frantically finishing up my job application materials. Pretty tired right now but I'll do my best to get caught up before the cycle ends and post some informed opinions.
  8. I'm inclined to believe that the provided list interacts with the game's other mechanics in some way. It doesn't, however, appear related to alignment, so we should probably ignore it until we get further information. I'll open with a vote on Wizard; what was the motivation behind your last-minute vote on TKN?
  9. There are a few options; the elims didn't send in a kill (unlikely), they killed Labyrinth as well (also unlikely), one of them sending in the kill was roleblocked (quite plausible), or there's an interaction with a mechanic we don't yet know about. I'd encourage anyone that sent in a roleblock to consider the merits of claiming, through a PM or otherwise. Edit: It could also be that protections and/or extra lives are not announced this game
  10. There is a list on page 1 that indicates you and Archer are Infiltrators. General consensus is that the list is inaccurate but nobody really knows what game mechanics it interacts with. Archer is currently leading in votes with 3 by my count (some folks are interested what happens if we exe a red name from said list).
  11. I object strongly to this. Everyone's favorite Winnie the Pooh character is obvious Pooh Bear himself.
  12. Do you think players with roles are more likely to be eliminators than villagers?
  13. I mean, as the resident Bus Master I'd say it's true that I'm really good at distancing .
  14. @Ravenclawjedi42, can you elaborate on why you suspect Archer and Labyrinth? Does your suspicion extend beyond the list in the first post? Also, supposing you were forced to vote for someone other than those two, where do you think you would vote (not really asking for reason here, just your gut)
  15. Usually Kandra are some kind of serial killers, which this game seems a little small for.
  16. Historically, games set in the second era of Mistborn have had Kandra as independent factions. This game seems a bit small for that, but it's a possibility.
  17. My guess is the list is completely random and is somehow tied to a game mechanic that is not yet revealed. I'm unclear on the general power level of the roles in this game, but 2 elims with a decently strong role would be balanced, as would 3 elims with the roles leaning more in favor of the village.
  18. Yes. One of the only ways to get votes with justification early on is to have some unjustified votes floating around first. Or, you know, if someone claims elim or something like that.
  19. If you'd like to suggest some other basis for my vote, which was the third post of the game, I'm all ears.
  20. So I personally am a proponent of not poke voting at all, and instead voting to kill. After all, a poke vote, especially one stated as such, has no kill pressure behind it and is thus self-defeating. We have to kill someone today (and want to even if we don't have to). And depending on how the discussion plays out, that is going to be more or less a random decision, so getting the ball rolling early can't hurt. Well, I only have one vote, and Archer is at the top of the player list. Hand me another vote and I'll gladly plop it onto Labyrinth. I'll also elaborate on my vote; the excuse is that Archer is red, but the reason is that it's C1 and we need to exe someone. Going to avoid diving into my personal voting theory here, but IMO that vote is still being useful. Hmm, perhaps anytime someone dies in this game, they get to provide their guess for alignments to the remaining thread? I'm trying to think through what that list actually indicates.
  21. What makes you say that vote manip is overpowered compared to extra lives? Do you mean in the hands of the village or the elims?
  22. Sure. Aeoryi (10): Everyone except Aeoryi
  23. Like this: Aeoryi You can unvote like this: Aeoryi (though you can place a new vote without unvoting your last one) And I'm still actually voting on Archer.
  24. I definitely won't take your word for it . Also, as a PSA from the rules to our new players: Blackout games are especially vulnerable to breaking from this sort of thing, so I thought I'd put it here.
  25. Archer, any explanation for why Lorel says you're an Infiltrator? I'm assuming that there's more to this game than "exe the red names on the list". Something tells me that Devotary wouldn't have let that fly while reviewing the rules.
