  3. No, but it's up there. Mine is orange. TPBM thinks Alcatraz is better than Reckoners.
  4. "Huh. Tea's poisoned."
  5. Well, hopefully everyone's least favorite interlude character doesn't become important later... as that would be sad. Hopefully we have other, more compelling characters than Adin. (Also, hopefully he doesn't become like Adolin. Adolin is wonderful as he is and must stay alive the whole series.) Kaladin: what I'm sensing is that he dies in book 5 protecting someone. Or he becomes Honor, but I honestly hope he doesn't. (What if he has to go into hiding?) If Shallan becomes a worldhopper at the end of book 5, then she couldn't come back to Roshar using means we know. Mistborn Spoilers: If Dalinar doesn't either die, pick up Honor, or become a Fused per the contact in book 5, I will be very surprised. I think that Fused Dalinar would be such a cool character for the back 5. Jasnah: sigh... she'll probably have gained control of all Coalition nations at this point. I hope that WoK Prime repeats itself and she ends up with Taln, because Hoid might not be able to get back onto Roshar for the back 5. Adolin: has a great relationship with Maya and Shallan/Pattern, and has learned how to be everyone's friend! Szeth: dies at end of book 5. Taravangian: terrifying as usual, trying to "help" everyone. As to Cosmere spoilers, I hope that none of the books have TLM level Cosmere crossovers. I felt that made that book actively worse, and so I'm hoping it doesn't happen in book 5, at least. If it has to get to that level, then I want good setup for it, not just going from 10mph to 100 in the space of one book. *cough Lost Metal cough* The back 5 main characters are planned as Lift, Renarin, Ash, Taln, Jasnah.
  6. Kiss Shai, marry Khriss, kill Vivenna. Adolin, Siri, Sarene.
  7. An important point to consider in this is what order of Radiant is attacking Rashek. The most powerful Radiant order is most certainly the Bondsmith Order, so I'll use their abilities in the fight. Because they're fighting, I'll assume they know what the strengths and weaknesses of each are. I'll also assume that there would be no Atium. Points for each: Compounder: can heal instantly, expand mental and physical speed, toughness, a LOT of investiture, and a whole lot more. The Compounder has the definite advantage with F-Zinc and F-Steel. Bondsmith: can manipulate Connection and can put out a whole lot of Stormlight/Towerlight/presumably Lifelight. Has access to a perpendicularity, giving unlimited access to Stormlight - improving reaction times. Presumably can take away Allomancy and Feruchemy. (Reasoning - Allomancy and Feruchemy are in the spiritweb, and so is Connection - which the Bondsmith can maniuplate.) What would happen? Bondsmith would probably lose, based on just how fast the Compounder can go. I'd think it'd depend a lot on the individuals and their individual fights, though. Maybe the Compounder winds 4 out of 5. 4th ideal Bondsmith would be very experienced with how to use their powers, and would be very strong. The compounder would get hit a couple times, but I'd assume that'd be fine for them, if a little embarrassing. I'm not sure how the Compounder would break the Plate, though. Maybe use A-Duralumin and A-Steel to smash a button or a metal bar through the Plate? Even though that would deplete all the stores, it would probably incapacitate the Radiant, letting the Compounder win. I don't think we have enough information about Bondsmithing to reasonably determine the outcome of this fight yet. What are the limits? We have no idea. Hopefully Stormlight 5 will shed some light on the situation.
  8. Well, my parents somehow got both of them on the Kindle app, so that would be my only piece of advice - look on that app. Those two stories are some of the hardest to find in my experience.
  9. I'm going to place the contest at the end of part 3. We know Sanderson plots the stormlight books as trilogies in the same book, so I theorize the contest will be at the end of the second 'book,' which often happens at the end of part 3 (the Duel In WoR, Kholinar in Oathbringer, I think the Highstorm in WoK.) This would, in my opinion, give enough time for the wrap-up after whatever happens during the contest, while still providing a challenge for Karen with continuity.
  10. Yes, there has to be. The deal between Rayse and Dalinar carries through to Taravangian and Dalinar. Both agreed to send a willing champion on the tenth day of the new month to the top of Urithiru. If Odium were to not send a champion, he would be in violation of the contract and would then be in Dalinar's power. I'm not sure how Odium would convince Dalinar that they should both break the contract, or even if that could work.
  11. After a bit more thinking, I do agree that Forgery could not finish a puzzle. However, I do think it could break apart a table. In TES, Shai says she could possibly escape by severely weakening the chain and breaking it. Even if the stamp didn't take after a minute, or even 2 seconds, it wouldn't matter because the chain would already be broken. Therefore, I think that if I stamped the table so the legs were then on the table in a nice stack, it would work for a second, and then not matter because they are off. If I stamped it with something that makes the legs fall off, that would work too, because once the legs are detached, they would be unable to be influenced by the stamp anymore. It is a convoluted way to detach things, but I think it could work out. This is certainly an into the weeds question that I'll probably ask Brandon if I ever make it up to Dragonsteel.
  12. YKYASFW you hear people singing "Feliz Navidad" and interpret it as "Failise Navidad."
  13. I can certainly believe that Taravangian would have meddled in Shallan's story, and think that maybe the Diagram could say "there will be a ward for Jasnah Kholin that comes to Kharbranth make her manifest the Nahel Bond." Possibly if Kaladin had gone to Kharbranth he would have been manipulated by Taravangian, but Lirin was there before Taravangian went to the Nightwatcher, and so was probably not manipulated by Taravangian.
  14. I don't think we have enough information to know at this point. After SH, we've only seen Kell three times. One was through a memory, once was in Twinsoul's viewpoint, and only one chapter in 4 books was him. As I recall, we didn't focus on the spike very much, focusing on Harmony and his impending madness.
  15. I said Radiant. I'm thinking either a Willshaper or a Stoneward, because of their access to the surge of Cohesion. Stonewards might work well with Tension, as well. Being able to stiffen objects and Awaken them in a way you desire seems to be a fun combination. I don't think we know evaluating how each Surge works yet, but here's to hoping we will soon!
  16. I'd go with Raoden. He's an Elantrian, so he's also able to do cool magic things. Also, he was regarded as the best member of the Arelene Nobility, being kind and helpful to everyone. Being with someone who uplifts you and is a great person would be great, I think. Also, magic powers.
  17. Well, I have a fun idea of what the godking could do to cause mass destruction : carry a normal sword around. Once he gets threatened, he holds the sword and tells it to "Destroy Evil." He then throws Nightblood 2 into the army / at his opponent, making it look like he just dropped his super powerful weapon. The opponent picks Nightblood up, and because the opponent most likely wants to use Nightblood for "evil" purposes, they get absorbed into him. Doesn't matter if the opponent is an Elantrian, a mistborn, or a Radiant. Nightblood will eat them all. Warbreaker Annotations- Nightblood's definition of evil
  18. As well as the fact that Ruin's power is stronger than Preservation's because Preservation gave up some of his power to trap Ruin in the Well. When Sazed became Harmony, that power imbalance still remained.
  19. 62. Make an illusion of yourself running into a lightwoven door. Your pursuer will be very confused when they try to open the door. For extra flavor, you could try to make the door handle have a bit of substance.
  20. I was recently re-reading Arcanum Unbounded, and while reading Emperor's Soul, I thought about Shai's demonstration of Forgery in regard to a table, in how it doesn't regard itself as many different pieces, but as simply a table. I was wondering that if a table was stamped very quickly after it was made, if it was possible to separate the items because it hasn't been considered a table long enough, or if the stamp simply couldn't work. On a related note, would it be possible to separate something using forgery? For example, I accidentally glued two pieces of wood together, could I stamp the combined piece to separate the two? Another example : I've just finished a puzzle, and have now broken it up to put it away. However, I have realized I wanted it out for longer. We'll say that it has been long enough that the puzzle considers it a single piece in the CR. Would it be possible to stamp a single piece to re-combine the entire puzzle?
  21. That was, most likely, a gun.
  22. I wonder if the perpendicularities are not of a specific shard, but of the Iriali, and simply related to their long trail. Also, I wonder if the One is the Survival Shard / the one shard that hasn't been named yet.
  23. I think it could either be Odium or Harmony/Discord, as both would be fascinating. Odium right now is the most dangerous character I can think of in the Cosmere, yet having a continuous character through all 4 eras of Mistborn would also be cool.
