  1. I don't think there is really null space. Maybe a collapsing perpendicularity would essentially split his body into the physical, Investiture into the spiritual, and Cognitive Shadow into the Cognitive. I think Dalinar is fine in a collapsing perpendicularity because he controls it and probably is safe from whatever consequences that entails. Maybe trap Hoid in massive Aluminum box with 40 foot thick walls and melt it around him?
  2. I am not sure if this is actually possible, but maybe you could trap him in some weird area between realms if your collapsed a perpendicularity while he was inside of it?
  3. Blome, Winsting's bartender?
  4. I don't think Taravangian is dying because after all the trouble and foreshadowing he went through so far, bringing him on a single book antagonist is complete wasted potential. Maybe Shallan freeing BAM will heal the cognitive entities?
  5. My view on this is much the same as what a Shardcast said. I don't think Odium has to shield Kharbranth from a volcano for example. He basically had to promise to not murder the city, but he does not have to protect it.
  6. I do see what you were trying to do. Besides Preservation and Ruin, I would say the only other pairing I could see is Dominion and Autonomy. Besides those, I do not see a super strong correlation.
  7. I have never loved the idea of forced pairing of many of the Shards simply because the Intents are so complex no pairing can be fully accurate. Are Preservation and Ruin opposites? At first glance they are, but then you start to see the deeper Intent. Can Preservation preserve something without Ruining something else. We know he approved of TLR crushing tech advancements to preserve. Is this not him Ruining new inventions. When Ruin destroys a person, is he not preserving what the person he killed would have destroyed if they had lived. I simply feel like no Shards are true opposites once you think deeply about the Intent.
  8. Granted. Your computer crashes in Tuesdays when it rains. I wish to build a temple to the Stick.

  10. I think they can, but perception plays a huge role in it. There is a WoB saying that Allomancers can burn metals injected into them. I think it comes down to an Intent thing. Once medicine on Scadrial is more advanced and lurchers are aware there is iron in the blood, they can. If they are injected with iron, they think there is iron in their blood and can therefore burn it. If they do not know, I think they do not instinctively burn it.
  11. A theory I have seen floated many times which I really don't like is Dalinar ascending to War. To begin with, it would seem like a copy of Mistborn and I think it would be an unsatisfying end. Secondly, Mr. T makes such a wonderful new Odium that I think needs time on screen to develop. I cannot see Brandon murdering Rayse and replacing him with Todium for just a book or two.
  12. I feel like Kaladin will probably die, or become a figure of idolization almost like the Originators. I think a Kaladin death would be very interesting to see if done right. Perhaps he could finally swear the fifth ideal to protect Moash. He dies, allowing Moash to get off the Odium drug and inspires him to change in the back half. This only works if Brandon is planning a Moash redemption arc. Nobody start a discussion of that here, I have a whole nother thread on Moash. The other option for a Kaladin death I think may have something to do with Lirin. Maybe he swears fifth ideal and defends Lirin and dies. Or maybe even a massive twist with the fifth ideal being him allowing others to protect him and Lirin killing to save Kaladin. I think Brandon could go some interesting directions here.
  13. I assume you mean Stormlight and Wax and Wayne era of continuity. Frost?
  14. Fake guess: Moash Real guess: OreSeur
  15. They could probably use electrum to see themselves falling into quicksand, so they largely avoid that danger. The real issue for the Stoneward is that that cannot really hit the mistborn. It is really a war of attrition. The Stoneward needs the mistborn to run out of steel and the mistborn needs the Stoneward to use up their Stormlight. How many metal vials are given to the mistborn and how much Stormlight to the Stoneward?
