  1. If they've bonded Enlightened Mistspren then they'd have access to Lightweaving, though it wouldn't work the same way. I also doubt that they'd stick around like that though, they have places to be and they need to get to Urithiru in Shadesmar so they can go to the Spiritual Realm.
  2. Ah, that was retconned by Brandon, Speed Bubbles go way faster than 8 times. Especially in Alloy of Law where they have a conversation while an explosion was slowly exploding in front of them. But also, if you store speed and make your whole body slower, that also means you'd burn your metals slower, meaning your Speed bubble would be slower.
  3. I was just thinking that myself. Speed Bubbles can be shaped by the user, Wayne showed us that. Though I feel like you couldn't make a Speed Bubble that small, maybe just have it wrapped around your body instead. You don't even need duralumin, a WOB stated that as you tap speed, your whole body speeds up which causes your metals to burn faster. Meaning that the more speed you tap, he faster you'd burn your bendalloy, meaning time would be compressed even more. I really want to see this combo, probably in a more modern day setting just so that the abundance of aluminum and Mechanical Metallic Arts will at least give other people a small chance at survival, also cheaper Bendalloy. Edit: Now that I think on it, they'd probably suffer from wind resistance more, so there'd be a lower cap on how fast they can go while their Speed Bubble is up compared to other Steelrunners. More so if they're tapping a lot of speed. Though they shouldn't need to tap much speed at all, since tapping speed increases allomantic burn speed, which results in more time acceleration, which results in them moving even faster. So they would only need to tap at, probably just around double or triple rate while their Speed Bubble is up, making their Speed Bubble twice or thrice as fast as normal Speed Bubbles, which is all they'd really need. So they would probably be forced to be conservative with their speed.
  4. Oh, well in that case it makes more sense. Maybe the real problem is the fact that we're getting this piece by piece. I imagine it's quite hard for suspense build up when your given a week to examine, or read the examinations of others, each and every moment of the entire scene. It can't flow properly because of that. Uh, where dd you get that impression from? At no point did she 'partially' unsummon her Plate, as far as we are told as the audience, it is all gone. And I doubt that Iyatil would try and knife someone who is still 99% covered in active Shardplate.
  5. She went from, double Fourth Ideal Radiant with Shardplate, Blade and Shield along with powerful Lightweaving, to completely powerless unless she wants to explode in just one shot. Anti-Light is no joke. Iyatil was literally going to stab her with a knife and there Shallan, bereft of her Shards and any Stormlight, was completely defenseless, except Mraize stopped her. Plus they know that the presence one of the most important Radiants, the First Lightweaver, meant that more were obviously nearby and probably on the way. No one would want to pick a fight with a dozen Third Ideal Radiants in close quarters without some very thorough preparations.
  6. I think that more aluminum shielding will encourage Hemalurgists, since with aluminum they won't need to worry as much about Harmony taking control of them if they use more than 3 Spikes.
  7. If a Returned became an Allomancer, would they be able to feed on that Investiture to survive? Or if... Mistborn Era 2 Spoilers I've been curious about how a Returned would be able to live on other worlds, Roshar is by far the easiest since there's so much Investiture everywhere. But according to WOB, Scadrial is much harder. I presume that it's because most Investiture is in the people rather than in the environment, and that they can't just breath in some of the Mists, since only a select few can draw upon them.
  8. Just had a thought, what if Mraize intentionally let all this happen. It does seem kind of sloppy and while Iyatil is panicked by the Radiants dropping in on a somewhat important meeting, Mraize is totally calm, almost like he's fine with this happening. Plus Iyatil has brought up her worry about his loyalty to her and her own goals. I think, that this fiasco was allowed to happen by Mraize in order to get Iyatil desperate enough to follow his lead and enable him to achieve his true goal, whatever that may be.
  9. Oh yeah, that's right. Well, I think that's enough evidence to make me certain in it because how exactly would the Malwish be able to tell if it's the real thing if they've never even seen it? Especially since by the logic of it being 'drained' and no longer having any power, it should just be a piece of metal with no Investiture to scan for. Metalminds aren't Metalminds if they're completely drained of all attribute after all.
  10. Just gonna throw this possibility out here cause why not, I think that the Malwish Admiral Daal used an Allomantic Grenade charged with Allomantic Aluminum. There is a WOB that goes into what Duralumin and Aluminum do with Harmonium. A-Aluminum Grenades set up an 'Allomantic Deadzone' where you simply cannot use Allomancy at all. Presumebly you cannot use Feruchemy as well. So I'm willing to bet that Daal had one of those in his pocket and switched it on when the Bands were brought out, making everyone in that room incapable of using them, making everyone think that they were drained, when they weren't. That's why he had a 'scripted' tone of voice and wasn't too surprised by it, he was causing it in the first place. But that's just a theory.
  11. It's not really the Southern Scadrians, it's the Worldhopping descendants of Southern Scadrians. Note that fact that Iyatil refers to Scadrial as 'Kelsier's home' but not her own home. I find it interesting that Iyatil believes that BAM can provide some way to 'Control the Shards', and that not only does she have her own plan, but others in her group have their own plans as well. Makes me think that Iyatil wants to pull off what the Ire tried and Kelsier succeeded at doing, by forcibly Connecting herself to a Shard to take it up, like Kel did with Preservation. Bypassing the need to be in line with its Intent.
  12. Well, regardless on how the next chapters go for Shallan, it seems that the Rosharan Ghostbloods have been dealt a pretty substantial blow, as many of their members have just been exposed to the Radiants along with some details of their plan, even better is that Shallan now knows about the dissent among their ranks, she could use that. Shallan needs leverage against the Ghostbloods, and proof of their treachery against their own would make for some decent leverage. Kelsier would never appreciate them going behind his back, especially with this whole 'Use BAM to control the Shards' plan. The Scadrian Branch made it clear in TLM that they need to be sneaky and subtle and not draw too much attention to themselves otherwise more powerful organizations could crush them. Meanwhile mister "Most powerful organization in the Cosmere" and his too ambitious teacher are trying to secure a way to rock the boat until it tips over. They really are running amok, as their efforts have led to them making an enemy of the Radiants, losing easy access to the Oathgates, drawing scrutiny to their organization as a whole and putting their own goals ahead of Kelsier's. In the grand scheme of things, Mraize and Iyatil seem to have really screwed the Ghostbloods over, at least when it comes to their efforts on Roshar.
  13. I'm not so sure on that part, I'm pretty sure the 'Affliction' he shares with the Heralds is more referring to his inability to leave his world. According to Hoid, the way to avoid insanity from living too long is by using Investiture to enhance the mind and remove excess memories. Thaidakar already has access to that kind of thing. Cosmere Spoilers, Stormlight Only after all He wants Kalak more than the other Heralds because Kalak has been trying to figure out how to get off of Roshar despite being a Cognitive Shadow, and he's apparently gotten close to cracking the secret, which Kelsier wants so he can Worldhop himself and visit other worlds. Plus being able to create a monopoly on the Interplanetary Investiture trade. Though what he'd want Mishram for I still couldn't guess beyond using her for some kind of Connection shenanigans, maybe even using her in a Fabrial so they don't have to let her out?
  14. The Duststalker Chapter 2 Chapter 2 With the cheque in hand, Viss entered the Isauec marketplace. In better times, it would have had many stands full of merchandise, with customers wandering between them, a clever few attempting to haggle the prices of whatever they desired. It would have been lively, busy and a massive pain to find whatever you were looking for. But not today, today it was all but out of business. Many stalls had been ransacked, even tipped over. Their stocks plundered, their owners either left picking up the pieces or nowhere to be seen. Viss had trouble believing that anyone could still be selling anything at this time. At least while she wandered about looking for one particular stall, she’d have some time to think. She was going to match up to a whole gang, over a dozen strong, of murderous outlaws with guns. A few of whom were in possession of powers beyond mortal men, and she was going to go after them all by herself. She had hoped she could get the authority of the town to rally up a dozen or more constables to back her up, but that wasn’t going to happen. They were undermanned and scared stiff of another raid. Even with her own talents she knew she was still out of her depth on this one, one lucky shot to the head and she’d drop dead like anyone else. She needed something to even the odds. Still, overwhelming odds or not she had to go after them, otherwise these monsters would just keep on killing good townsfolk. If she couldn’t get backup, then she’d at least need to restock and figure out some kind of plan soon. She found herself at a rather peculiar stall, with metal coated over the wood, its legs nailed to the ground and the sign had deep metal carvings lined with shiny metal depicting the name of the store. Inga’s Ingots. One of the only stands that was still open after a vicious attack by outlaws the previous night. Viss wasn’t sure what to expect, but if it was the only blacksmith open after last night’s attack then no one would hear her complain. She had already drunk her last water skin and was going to run low on pewter sooner or later, and she couldn’t have the flame inside her go out, not ever. “Hello there!” Viss was snapped out of her thoughts by the owner of the stall as she exited the building behind the stall, a brief tap of smell from one of her tinminds caught the scent of smoke and heated metal, a forge no doubt. The tanned skin woman wore the proper apparel of a blacksmith, with an apron and thick gloves, and goggles that were tinted black. Her blonde hair was tied into a tight bun. The woman placed her cheek on her fist as she smiled at Viss, “So what can I do ya for?” She asked Viss. “I need you to refill these.” Viss said as she brought out her empty waterskins from her coat, a dozen in all, and placed them on the bench of the stall. “Not vials?” Inga asked as she picked up one of the leathery containers. “Weird choice.” “No, these work better” Viss curtly replied. Most allomancers may have liked to use small glass vials, but they never appealed to her. They could also have more pewter put in them, which was all the reason she needed. “What kind of metal are you after?” Inga asked. “Pewter” she replied. “Oh, well you sure got the look of a Thug down. How much?” Viss’s eye twitched at the incorrect term. “How much do you have?” “How much ya got?” Viss slapped the ticket she was holding onto the bench. Inga picked it up, her eyes widening as she read it. “You got a blank cheque… from that old Gnat?!” She cried out. Viss raised an eyebrow at the familiar term, “Your mayor is an allomancer?” Inga scoffed, “Barely, if you can call burning your life savings away a mystical power of legend.” “Aluminum or duralumin?” Viss asked as the sides of her lip began to quirk upwards. “Does it matter?” Inga replied, chuckling. “Not really.” Viss answered with some amusement, as well as some pity. There were sixteen types of Allomancers, some could move metal with their mind, others could alter the emotions of others, some could even alter the speed of time itself. Then there were Gnats, Mistings with the power to burn either aluminum or its alloy, duralumin. Both powers did nothing on their own, and the metals they needed were even more expensive than gold. “Yeah, it’s a big sore spot for him, it’s why he’s here after all.” Inga continued, “I heard he’s from some big time noble family from Elendel, they sent him here back when the Bend was just being built years back just to get him outta their hair, and he’s been mayor ever since.” That wasn’t surprising to Viss, she’d heard that to be born a Gnat was a great embarrassment to noblemen, that it was better to be born with no powers at all than to be a Gnat. She couldn’t imagine it, to grow up knowing that you could have had a chance for some great mystical power at birth, only to end up with squat. “He’s been alright as mayor, helped build this place up. Doesn’t stop him from fining people for talking about his Gnatness. Guess it comes with being a noble, gotta be at least a little bit of an ass to the little people. Heh, anyway what shape do ya what do you want your pewter in? Shavings, beads, heck I even got a few stringy wires if you want to try something new?”. Viss thought it over, “I will take some bags of beads, but I want my waterskins filled with shavings only.” It wasn’t her money being spent anyway, so she was fine with buying more than her usual amounts. And besides, wires? That just sounded ridiculous. Inga grabbed one of the waterskins and started filling it with pewter, “Alright, I’ll have em’ ready in a just a giffy” she said as she knelt down with a key and unlocked the metal cupboards of the stand, grabbing out several jars full of pewter beads and shavings, as well as a keg full of water. She started pouring the shavings and water into the leathery containers. As several minutes passed a question crossed Viss’s mind, driving her to ask, “How did you avoid being ransacked like everyone else?” she asked Inga. “Hm? Oh, I just made sure to keep everything locked up tight is all.” She answered, “My stand is bolted into the ground with metal and my forge’s door is reinforced, so I just stayed safe in there during the night.” The tanned forger shuddered, “It was terrifying, hearing all those shots and screams. Someone even tried to barge down my door, just glad it’s over though.” “It will be.” Viss whispered to herself. “You say something?” Inga asked. “Just a promise”. “Ah, okay, anyhow here you go!” Inga chirped as she handed back the refilled waterskins and half a dozen bags. “I’ll make sure to send ol’ Hubrins the bill.” Inga waved the cheque with a bright smile. Viss gave a small smile back, “Thank you” she said. “Pleasure doing business, and good luck” Inga called to her as Viss walked away from the stand, filling he pockets of her coats with her newly gotten metal. This was good, she now had enough pewter to last her a few weeks if she didn’t flare it too often. Now all she needed was a nice quiet place to rest for a few hours, she considered her options as she took a few gulps from a waterskin, replenishing her reserves. The local tavern was an option, but she’d made do with worse, for all she cared she could lay down in some random dark alley and make it feel like home. She stiffened as she heard a thump, picked up only by her sharpened hearing. She turned her head towards another stand, one with jars full of some type of black dirt, she heard another thump coming from a box right next to the stand. She walked over, tapping more hearing from one of her tinminds, until she could hear muffled groaning coming from within the box. She reached towards the lid of the box with one hand, the other reaching into her coat to grip the handle of a knife. Right as her hand neared the box, the lid was kicked off. Backing away, she watched as a boy lifted himself out of the box, spitting out sand from his mouth. “Ah, rusting, bloody, sand!” The boy complained between spits as he climbed out of the box. He furiously rubbed his hands through his auburn hair, furiously shaking pale grains out of it, metal bands around his wrists glinting in the light. Viss observed the boy as he scrunched his eyes from the light while trying to step out of the box, shaking down his black shirt and brown pants as he did so. Her eyebrow raised as she looked him over, “Some hiding place,” she drawled, catching his attention as his hazel eyes focused on her, “I cannot imagine that any bandit would bother looking through a stall that sells jars of dirt of all things.” “Wha? Who are you?” He asked her. “I am Viss” she replied, “You?” The boy stepped up to her and tried to puff his chest, Viss almost snorted at the sight, the boy was almost a head and half shorter than her, “Names Nid.” he said, then he looked around, “So, uh, have you seen a guy near your height, same hair as me, usually got a big frown on his face?” he asked Viss, a frown filled with a growing nervousness plain for her to see. Viss considered the question “No, was he around here?” The rubbed his chest as he looked away, “I, I dunno. I passed out while he was carrying me.” He admitted shamefully, he shot his head back to her and glared into her eyes, “But I didn’t pass out cause I was scared or nothin! I got punched right here!” He explained furiously as he pulled the collar of his dusty shirt down to show a large bruise on his chest. Viss looked on the boy with concern, “Is anything broken?” She asked. Nid shook his head, “Nah, just got sucker punched by that stupid rusting bandit.” “What? What do you mean?” She asked. “I uh, went to go help the conners, fight the bandits.” He stutteringly replied. “And how did that turn out?” She sarcastically asked. “I, nearly got shot, then my brother Dek shot the guy who was gonna kill me.” He looked away, rubbing the back of his head while looking like he sucked a very sour lemon as the words left his mouth. Viss nodded, “That is why you leave this to the Constables, or to Lawmen like me.” She told him sternly. The boy’s head snapped back to her, surprise clear on his face, “You’re a Lawman?!” he loudly questioned her. Viss nodded, “Yes, I have been tracking this group of outlaws for weeks. I am close to finding them and confronting them, so there won’t be a need to worry soon eno-.” She said, but the boy cut her off, “You’re a Lawman! Oh, you’ve got to take me with ya! Please!” Viss blinked at the question, then snorted, “No.” she said, as she shook her head and walked away. She wasn’t going to even consider this childish request, she would have found the boy’s bravery commendable, but there was a thin line between being brave and being a fool. “Wait, hey wait!” he said as he ran up to her, “Look I need to do this, they took him, they took my brother! Cause of me! I have to make this right! So please let me come with ya! I can help, I’mma-” he pleaded with her, Viss stopped and turned, pointing a finger in his face, cutting him off, “You, are not coming with me, you are just a child trying to get in over his head, an egg trying to throw itself into the cooking pan. I refuse to indulge foolishness, no matter whose it is.” She turned and continued walking, leaving the stunned young man behind her. “Hey, wait.” the boy called to her. She ignored him as she walked on, she had no inclinations of humoring a suicidal whim. What she really needed right now was somewhere quiet to rest for a few hours. “I said WAIT!” with that shout, Viss stopped in place, though not by choice. Her coat was pulling her back, or rather the pewter she had stored within it was being pulled, tugged towards the boy behind her, who was holding his arm outstretched towards her, she instantly realized what was happening. “Lurcher” the lawman murmured, she focused her mind, pushing out any unnecessary details out of it. Within a moment there was no boy, just an enemy Allomancer. She’d had to deal with Allomancers pulling and pushing on the pewter in her coat before, and her teacher’s training had taught her well. The issue with Lurchers was that they could only pull with as much force as their body weight, and this one was on the scrawny side, clearly weighing less than her. With a bit more strength, she could pull him instead. Viss flared her pewter and pulled her coat with all her strength. A basic trick to deal with these kinds of Allomancers, besides simply not having any metal in the first place, was to use their own powers against them. If a Lurcher pulled metal that was heavier than them, then they got pulled instead. She heard the Lurcher stumble forward due to the counteracting force of her own strength. Either he would stop ironpulling and she could rush him, or he would simply pull her into grabbing range. Then something strange happened, the force pulling on her coat became stronger, then stronger again, until she had to struggle against the force with all her might. She looked back, the kid was just standing up straight with no struggle, with his arm stretched out to her with a proud smirk on his face. “Ready to talk now?” the Lurcher questioned her, but she ignored it. Her thoughts went a mile a minute, this didn’t make sense, the rules of Allomancy were clear, if a Lurcher pulled on something heavier than them, they got pulled towards it. The Misting was smaller than her and had no leverage, she shouldn’t be the one being pulled, yet she was all the same. Her feet started to drag on the dirt as the force of his pull became even greater somehow. He couldn’t have been just Flaring his iron, Allomancy had limits to how strong it could be, unlike Feruchemy. Then, with her sharpened hearing, she could hear the threads of her coat start to strain, start to tear, this stupid little scuffle was going to ruin her coat, her teacher’s coat. She switched to a new different tactic, she was trying to counteract his power the wrong way, Lurchers could only pull metal towards themselves. She slipped her arms through the sleeves of her coat, and without her strength to resist the Ironpull, her coat shot through the air towards the boy. “Oh rus-!” he tried to curse right as he was slammed by the coat with enough force to knock him on his back, a small cloud of dust kicked up by his fall. Viss stomped over to him as he struggled to get the coat off him, she grabbed his wrist and hauled him to his feet. She glared into his eyes, “Don’t. Ever. Try that again.” She hissed at him. Her temper flared in her, like one of the Ashmounts of ancient times. She saw the boy’s eyes, saw the fear in them. Fear of her. She stilled and forced a long breath into her lungs, dampening her flaring pewter to a light burn and stopped tapping her metalminds, letting her senses return to normal. She was too wound up, too frustrated, from the hunt, from the victims, all of it. Her control over her most ruinous impulses was shaken. She forcefully shoved that anger down, there was a time and place for it, but not at this moment, and especially not on a boy just for doing something stupid. Nid’s face was painted with the nervousness of someone who realized they had probably pissed off someone they really shouldn’t have, he thankfully remained quiet as Viss took a moment to think. She needed to think about something else, like how did he pull with such incredible force, more than any Allomancer she’d ever faced? Was he a Twinborn like her? It sounded so unlikely, she was sure that there were enough Twinborn in the Roughs that you could count them on both hands with plenty of fingers left over. “You want to come with me?” she asked the young man. The nervousness started to be overcome by a determined look, “Yeah, yeah I do.” He replied, with Viss noticing a look in his eyes, a look that was familiar, eyes with a glint of steel. Was she really considering this? Taking a boy to a gun fight? Was she so desperate for backup that she would resort to recruiting a kid? Still, he was a Metalborn who was willing to help, that was a rare thing around the Roughs. She wasn’t sure if Harmony was going to condemn her or had just given her what she wanted. She pursed her lips as she grabbed her coat off the ground, as she pulled it on as she continued to talk, “If you’re coming with me, you need to do exactly what I say, understand?” She told him with a firm tone. The boy beamed, a proud and relieved smile stretching across his face, “Yes, yes, yes!” he cheered as he agreed. Then his tone took on a growing smugness, “Heh, I knew ya’d bring me along, just had to show ya what I can do is all.” Viss had a growing urge to smack that smug smile off of him, she ignored it. Instead, she just replied “Well, I’m in need of somewhere to rest, so you are to bring me to your home.” That wiped the growing smirk right off the kid’s face, “Wait, what?” Viss shrugged her shoulders, “Well, you did agree to do what I say, and I was just looking for a place to stay. So yes, I want you to bring me to your house, so I can make use of your comforts and food, since you so eagerly volunteered.” She said with a light smirk on her lips. The annoyed groans of the boy were like music to her ears. More than that, as the younger Metalborn started to lead her to his home, as Viss took notice of the metal bands around his wrists, she was beginning to suspect she may have found what she needed to even the odds. Author's Note
  15. A few answers to this: -They were actively looking for Feruchemists and could sometimes find one or two. The Keepers made sure to keep themselves well hidden. -Not all Inquisitors got the same powers, some were given Duralumin and Atium, others weren't. -They reused spikes from dead Inquisitors. Ruin sent Koloss and Inquisitors after the Terris, the Koloss slaughtered the regular people while the Inquisitors hunted down the Synod, the Terris leaders who had Feruchemy. None of the refugee's that we saw in Era 1 would know about Hemalurgy or that their Feruchemists were being specifically hunted, more than usual at any rate.
  16. Kandra could gain the mass by just eating a lot of meat, eating the giant creature in question if they could subdue it. Mistwraiths can reach very large sizes on their own, so a Kandra could also probably do it, it just wouldn't be very quick. I'm pretty sure that they can shed excess mass whenever they want, the only part of their body that is actually vital is their brain and they can shift that around anywhere they want.
  17. Just had a crazy thought: Kandra using Unsealed Metalminds to augment themselves. Iron Medallions: The ability to alter their weight, even just by storing it to make themselves lighter, would be a huge boon to their shapeshifting abilities. By making themselves lighter, they could assume larger forms, like a Chasmfiend for instance, without needing to worry about crushing themselves under their own weight. Could you imagine if a Kandra turned into Godzilla? That would be awesome. Maybe they could make a really big metal True Body? They could also be able to become far more agile, even potentially forming wings and flying if they kept some bird bones on hand. Copper Medallions: Kandra are skilled actors, but what if they had the ability to force their targets to give them memories of themselves before eating them? They would be even better at mimicking their targets since they'd have their direct thoughts and feelings on hand to work with. Duralumin Medallions: Why bother with learning a language when you can just speak it? Accent will probably be an issue. Also filling them would help them be even sneakier, by reducing other's awareness of them. Brass Medallions: Not super interesting, extra warmth would just be convenient for cold temperatures. Storing would probably make them fire-proof or just very resistant, so there's that. Who knows what else is possible, hopefully we see Kandra make use of these Medallions by Era 3, just so many possibilities by combining universal Feruchemy with a Shapeshifter.
  18. Oh yeah that's right. Wonder why he made that? Proof of his existence to future generations of Southern Scadrians to ensure he'd remain very revered among them? Hard to refute a literal memory after all. Well, the end of Secret History had Kelsier tempt Spook into using Hemalurgy to get Feruchemical powers, 'You're Mistborn Spook, halfway there.' And it was said by Allik that in order to make an Unsealed Metalmind that contained all the powers, you'd probably need someone who already had them all...
  19. Harmony said no, whatever Kelsier has turned himself into has caused stuff like Lerasium and Hemalurgy to be ineffective at granting him powers. I'm not even sure if he can use Medallions, it was implied by the fact that he was on an Airship, which requires the passengers to use Unsealed Ironminds to be lighter so it can fly. But on the other hand, Kelsier somehow made the Bands of Mourning, yet it's implied that he couldn't use them either due to the fact that he was 'still searching' for a way to use Allomancy again.
  20. I have a few ideas -A Chill of Coldspren -A Tavern of Alespren -A Jail of Captivityspren -A Melody of Musicspren -A Tide of Wavespren Stormfather above, this can really just go on and on can't it?
  21. That is not confirmed, we know that there is a cap on how many spikes a person can have, but there is no confirmed number on that cap by any source that we have. Having 4 or more spikes leaves one open to being controlled through the Hemalurgic Flaw. Good day.
  22. Book of Nails anyone? An adventurous woman with erratic magical powers travels with an expedition to an island to find a legendary book with the power to raise an undead army.
  23. Allomantically charged Harmonium? Why did I never think of that before? I don't know why the Set never discovered this by themselves, maybe they just didn't know and never checked since they were more interested in the giant explosion that reaction causes and never checked for trace amounts of it? After all, Kandra are making Atium for Marsh so that should mean that they are now building up a stockpile of Lerasium. Harmony may have told Kelsier that Lerasium is destroyed, but he also played coy said "Have I ever lied to you?" and we know for a rusting fact that he has so we can't take him at his word anymore. So yeah, rogue mistborn made with Lerasium is a distinct possibility.
  24. I doubt anyone could have seen "Trapping someone in Shardplate" as even a remote possibility. Dead Shardplate is known to them, but Living Shardplate has only just started to appear again, the Ghostbloods wouldn't have much understanding of it and won't be able to prepare for it until they do. The conflict between Shallan and the Ghostbloods is will probably become more even thanks to Shallan having more of her own resources and powers, plus the Ghostbloods may put up a frightening front but by Kel's own admission they are far from the biggest fish in the sea. Their mystery and anonymity is by far their greatest strength, take that away and they'll much more manageable. But yeah, I don't see this undercover thing going too well for Shallan, at least in terms of info gathering instead of her safety. It'll still be interesting to see though, any info on the Ghostbloods is bound to be interesting even if it's not what Shallan is hoping to get.
  25. It would take quite a lot for the Malwish Consortium to willingly cooperate with the maskless barbarians of the north, perhaps it would even take the influence of someone that both sides greatly revere. Perhaps Scadrial's 'Cold War' might be part of an intentional plan to encourage technological advancement over the fear and threat of war, only for a certain greatly revered figure to step out of the shadows and calm the tensions, preventing any actual war from occurring. It would certainly be both a very crazy and somewhat egotistical plan that would hinge on the actions of a single man, but it's not like we've seen that happen before in Mistborn. The Criminal Mistborn might not need to be bred, since Harmony is having the Kandra use Trellium to separate Harmonium in order to give Marsh more Atium, that also means he's now building up a stockpile of Lerasium. Perhaps once Harmony becomes Discord, it will allow an opening for someone to steal a sample of Lerasium from the Kandra? Or maybe even a rogue Mistborn Kandra? I'd love to see the Southerners reactions to a Mistborn, they already revere Mistings so how would they see a Mistborn?
