I would love to play this if I could find a group interesting in trying it out! What a great amount of work!

I third it! Renarin is actually a PRIME candidate for death now with TOdium more than ever before IMO Taravangian KNOWS what Renarin's powers do to his own foresight and would want that removed post haste. I would if I were TOdium anyway. For me Renarin would be target #1 for my assassins if I didn't have assassins, I would get some of those stat as well it's unclear that Rayse was aware of the "why" or if he could even see those sections (at least to me) Renarin is actually redundant in a way from a power perspective now that Rlain has bonded an Enlightened Mist spren yes, this doubles the area/people they can mask/blank, but if Renarin were removed it would leave Rlain able to fill the gap near Dalinar as well He is a "top tier" (my words) character in that his death would be a huge blow to... well everyone of our main characters. Far more impact on characters than Teft Adolin/Dalinar/Jasnah/Bridge Four/Kaladin would all esp. be crushed by his death Navani & Shallan likely would as well, but I could see reasons why they'd be less impacted than the list above

People are hyper focused on Navani being "stupid" or "naive" and/or "not worthy" as if her story isn't a near parallel to Dalinar's in many broad strokes? Sadeas : Dalinar :: Raboniel: Navani Sadeas and Raboniel are both dark mirrors of Dalinar and Navani respectively. Both Sadeas and Raboniel can see this, know this, and USE this to manipulate their counterpart into doing very stupid things (looked at with reader's knowledge and distance to situations) Not only manipulate them into doing "stupid things", but doing them repeatedly and being burned by the other repeatedly nearly catastrophically Also - the Stormfather did NOT want to bond Dalinar at the end of WoR either. Dalinar essentially bullied/forced the bond as much or more than Navani did at the end of RoW with the Sibling. If anyone is going to crap all over Navani, please be sure to spread it to Dalinar as well because they are literary parallels in these books, and one does NOT deserve the hate if the other isn't getting it as well

Which shard would you serve?
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to bmcclure7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'd have to go with Harmony of these options. It'd be dope to be a Full Feruchemist in modern society -
I feel like #2 would, narratively speaking, be a huge disservice to the end of RoW if it came at any point earlier than book 10 or something I feel like Jasnah will remain queen as long as Alethkar exists, which depending on how SA5 goes may or may not be a while!

I think that view of Cultivation is full of assumption. She sees better than Honor. She very much seems like a Shard that would "prune" TOdium if she saw that he wasn't what she foresaw if TOdium were to weaken himself and expose himself as vulnerable to Cultivation. If Odium doesn't participate, then I would think that equates to a forfeit and Dalinar's side "wins"

Questions to people who know more about DID
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to KaladinWorldsinger's topic in Stormlight Archive
I appreciate everyone's insights in this thread, super helpful for understanding more about Shallan! I could have sworn (don't have a copy handy right this second) that at some point in RoW Veil says I could be mis-remembering that, but I thought that was the case. -
Drawer 10-2 Sapphire (Ominous)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Brightlord Beezus's topic in Cosmere Discussion
For some reason in my mind, the Radiant in the pure lake vision was a Stoneward as well, not sure why I always mix the Starfalls vision Stoneward up with the Dustbringer in the Pure Lake vision- 13 replies

There's always this to consider (with a mound of salt given the r/crempost subreddit):

Drawer 10-2 Sapphire (Ominous)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Brightlord Beezus's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Its pretty explicitly shown as far back as WoK in Dalinar's visions with the Midnight Essences (Starfalls) where the Windrunner's plate glows blue and the Stoneward's plate glows topaz- 13 replies

My theory confirmed?(Stormlight 5 Previews)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to KaladinWorldsinger's topic in Stormlight Archive
If he survives SA5 I can totally see Kaladin traveling Roshar being a bridge to the humans and singers I hope for my own sake that Syl doesn't die, and that Kaladin retains his powers I REALLY don't want him to lose Syl and then go Odium champion though -

Elantrian Computer Program
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Trusk'our's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
AonDor Macros for the "real world"! I can absolutely see that being a future application. Makes me wonder about the stuff in Tress now -
Given what happens in Tress… I wouldn’t put it past being manipulatable in some way! I think it’s probably too woven into sDNA to just transfer like Breath. Via Hemalurgy? Absolutely though.

Those not in line don’t “have the royal locks” because of Intent is my guess. Genetically they do but at their core they believe they don’t and therefore don’t activate them? Thought it might be part of the collective belief of those around as well? Otherwise very young children would exhibit them unconsciously

I agree… and I also want him to rot in Braize for eternity. And yet. And yet, I can’t ignore the precedent set by Szeth. He killed a LOT of people, many of them known or close to Team Radiant. And yet there he is, accepted seemingly to Team Radiant w/o too much fuss i don’t want it, but I won’t rule it out until book 10 is…in the books. Or Moash does before then in some way that would 100% preclude his return.

otb Why did this happen?
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Sovieticozasz's topic in Stormlight Archive
It was his 3rd ideal vs Moash to save Elokhar, but I digress I also agree it was more than just "us v. them" in all situations, though I could argue that Moash very much made himself a "them" in that moment. Kaladin (and the Windrunners in general) are driven more than any other characters by the combination of both what is "right" and what is "honorable". Kal's trauma and his empathy with all sides in that specific fight, mean he was paralyzed with indecision for what the right+honorable action was in this instance. usually he can see with clarity what the right/honorable actions are. When he can't... he tends to not act. Here, but also as he just sits there in WoR while Moash is going about his plan. He is conflicted and it takes Kal time to reach the decision for what is right+honorable, which he comes to in the hallway. Here... he doesn't have the luxury of time to mull his thoughts and consult others, etc. He has to act immediately... and so he can't act. If he'd never spent time with the group of listeners they wouldn't even have made it to that place anyway likely, so he's feeling guilt as they die on top of everything else To me it's entirely consistent with where Kal is at that point. I still hate it because it means Elokhar dies, but.. it didn't seem out of character to me .... it also leads directly into his entire character arc in RoW. So it's relevant beyond Oathbringer -

This is just my front room desktop display "shelf", my other Sander-shelf is in my office, but since I just got my Alloy/Shadows leather I thought I'd show that shelf off!

If the choice was only Mistborn or Feruchemist, I'd have gone with Feruchemist, because it would jive with my avid indoorsman lifestyle... ... but you also offered me 5th heightening Awakener giving me all the coolness of Heightenings 1-4 + Immortality without having to have an Atium cache for compounding or being bound to a specific planet or something I can't remember if Elantrians are natively immortal, but I seem to remember them dying or being spoken of passing away in the novel itself by Galladon, so yeah. 5th Heightening Awakener for me please

Lost Metal Full Book Reactions (Cosmere Edition)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
 I mean she also calls the Shaod "Shay-ode" post transformation and Tia as "Tye-A", though that could be due to Marisai' hearing vs what is being said specifically. Maybe calling herself "Shay-I" is Sanderson's way of saying this is Shai. Don't get me wrong, I love Shai and Emperor's Soul, it's one of my favorite stories. I just don't want this to be Shai is all, though the Coppermind seems to have decided that it is 100% her since Moonlight's transformation is referenced under the Shai page's Essences Mark's entry section now The Cosmere is a big place, so it's just a bit disappointing to not expand our cast of characters with a new Forger to me is all. -
Lost Metal Full Book Reactions (Cosmere Edition)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I've seen people mention that Moonlight must be Shai and ... I just don't see it/feel it I know worldhoppers can age slower and all, but... this person really didn't feel at all like Shai to me. Plus she used color references as an analogy like a Nathian. Dunno. The only thing that says Shai is 1) Soulstamps 2) woman 3) Shais' the only one we know, but there is an entire culture of Maipon forgers who have been working at improving Soul Stamps for like 1500 years between Emperor's Soul and the Lost Metal. Not every character has to be a crossover character just because they have similar magics. I'd be disappointed if Moonlight were Shai honestly. -
Lost Metal Full Book Reactions (Mistborn Only Edition)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Chaos's topic in Mistborn
I'm not at all bothered by the lack of mention of metalborn security/law enforcement in any of these books myself. These books are about a crew of metalborn law enforcement working together to combat stuff. It's all from their POV and they don't know any Nicrobursts... so they don't show up. There's enough going on without having to mention every little thing. Absence of something in the text doesn't equate to absence of it in the world itself. Yes Wayne could compound gold... if he had empty goldminds to fill/use/burn and the time to do so. Which he didn't have. There is also the very real possibility that Wayne never thought of it, and Saze didn't want to keep him alive post action so purposefully didn't mention it to him while they were talking about the plan. Wax should be able to compound weight not iron pulls/steel pushes once he figures out he's mistborn, though that wlll def help in Steel/Iron push/pulls. I also thought the difference in Ghostblood demeanor was well covered in the book. Different people leading the "missions" with different students/outlooks. Also Scadrial's survival being the groups main mission and Scadrial being in danger leads to far more lenience and cooperation from them towards Marisai than on Roshar (which they're just trying to resource/technology mine, not save). There is also the fact that Era 2 comes after SA 1-5 so their methods may have shifted slightly by then or new members may have joined. I loved the parallels between Shallan and Marasai re: the Ghostbloods. I wonder if they manner in which they were treated by the Ghostbloods plays into how they reacted to their offers to join as well. If Shallan had encountered the same team as Marasai, would she have been more wholehearted/on-board? Hmm... -
Lost Metal Full Book Reactions (Mistborn Only Edition)
Green Hoodie Mistborn replied to Chaos's topic in Mistborn
Saze is purposefully obscuring truth from Kel here. Semantic it up however you want, but he's straight lying to Kel's face. Saze says "all the Lerasium is annihilated" which is a lie. There was enough to make one or two full Mistborn through ingestion/burning out of it, that is not "all ... annihilated" See also the difference we see between how Saze portrayed himself when talking to/with Wax/Wayne/Kandra vs. how he talks to Kel Something is up with Saze already and it's very worrisome for the future of Scadrial.
