  1. Tangential but someone specifically asked about Bloody Tan and Brandon implied we will get more backstory on him later so that might also tie into more backstory for Lessie as well.
  2. Do we know Patji's Eye is the sole perpendicularity? Patji's challenge to Hoid implies there is a secondary way to get on planet.
  3. Could Honorblades granting surges be tied to tanavastium's innate effect?
  4. I do wonder if Lift would see that afterimage on Kelsier and Wax or if the afterimage is only because Nale was not proficient in that operation.
  5. I think those Terris prophecies might not have originated on Scadrial and actually apply to multiple people across the cosmere. Dalinar and Vasher could also fit those criteria especially if you take into account Ruin having tweaked the original prophecy.
  6. If this were the case I don't think he'd need the spike.
  7. Whatever the Evil is (fain? midnight essence?) and if non human sentient/sapient life lives there will be important to accurately judging the capabilities. Silver might be invested in odd ways here. The Night Brigade might also be native to the system.
  8. Maybe. It depends on whether you can notice and later describe something that you have little to no connection to.
  9. The way he phrased that as "count" implies there is some wiggle room. I have a theory that Re-Shephir might be an aetherbound to Night.
  10. It was also implied that it might be a mix of magic systems
  11. I also just found out that the Sho Del used silver sheaths so might be connected to the use of silver on Threnody. My other theory is that the Evil is related to Living Night (and all the other stuff probably derived from the same substance) from AoN.
  12. Here's another theory: Is the Living Night related to the Evil on Threnody (although it's possible it's fain instead) and the Night Brigade? What if all three SP are connected by this throughline?
  13. Given that both are described as a kind of encroaching danger to humans and that Ambition's Vessel was fain I think it's possible that the Evil is related to it.
  14. I really need to go reread that section of the novel, but it seems to me Marasi gathering all those allomancers to burn metals is what stopped to perpendicularity from forming.
  15. This seems backwards. You don't suddenly care about legality because you've bonded a highspren, highspren choose to bond to you because the care for legality came first. If a Skybreaker suddenly lost their bond for whatever reason they would still care about legality (or at least following some sort of code) because that is an inherent part of their personality.
  16. Oh isn't the implication that there are 12 Aethers now? So that would be a major change.
  17. Maybe not completely changed if Living Night is Midnight Essence as WoBs have connected Midnight Essence to Nightmares, Nightmares to the black smoke of Nightblood, and then I think there is WoB connecting that black smoke to why Ruin's gaseous Investiture is a black mist or something.
  18. From my understanding, yes. I've only read a few comments about the novel as the Coppermind page is rather sparse but it seems both the Night Aether and the Illuminous Aether have teleportation abilities with I think one focused on the self and the other on others. I haven't read any of the trunked novels before but this one might be my first because I'm so curious.
  19. Could still be Skybreakers in a philosophical sense but are accessing the surge via a different means than a nahel bond? With how vague Brandon was here we are in heavy speculative territory.
  20. Talking to another person that has read it, it doesn't seem to have a water cost in the original story. The controlled substance is called "Living Night" while in Dalinar's flashback in WoK Midnight Essence is called "living night". I assume we will be seeing a lot more of this in SP1 as the power of the Sorceress of the Midnight Sea. Given the seeming connection between this Living Night and Midnight Essence I wonder if Re-Shephir was an aetherbound before being Unmade.
  21. Additionally Sand Mastery the Investiture is coming from the sun of the Taldain system and being absorbed and metabolized by some form algae in the sand that a Sand Master can then somehow control at expense of dehydration. It seems to possibly work similar to the aetherbound.
  22. I agree with @teknopathetic here. The fact that Brandon didn't just outright say they are Coinshots seems telling, but what exactly it tells I'm not sure. Could be something more similar to what we see the Fused do without need of a spren (assumedly).
  23. He's Kelsier, man. There's always gotta be another secret.
