I really want to see what happens with Kaladin, since he was starting to question a lot of things at the end of Oathbringer. I'd also like to know what the succession situation is for Alethkar. Is Jasnah Queen Regent until Gavinor comes of age? Is she just going to be queen from now on? What is happening to the Sadeas princedom, since that clearly must have taken a hit after Thaylen City. And random note, the title of this thread immediately made me think 'off-key kazoo'

That's an interesting question. It makes sense that each Dawnshard would have... not residues... remnants of the Shards it was responsible for.

On your first question, I think that it has something to do with 'dawn' being the first light of day. So, first Shards, first singers, first chant, first cities.

So, my thoughts on Dawnshard. I read it pretty quickly, so my thoughts are a bit muddled, but, some things that are rising from the turbulent sea of thoughts include: I love that we're getting more about fabrials and how to make them work! I'll admit I don't get a lot of it, but it's so cool! Lopen's Third Ideal I think was very well done. I'm not one of those who finds him annoying, but seeing him grow like this feels very satisfying. So, Dalinar and Navani are King and Queen of Urithiru. Okay... I'm getting a headache imagining what the succession system is like right now. More thoughts in the spoiler, but they aren't really the more professional format I like to show up in this kind of post, so I'm putting those in there. (They are also very messy, rambley, poorly-thought out Cosmere-wide things.) What did y'all think?
