    Hmmm. Favorite smell… I’ve got a lot. I’ll do my top three. 1. Rain. Right before or right after a big rainstorm, specifically. 2. Luna’s perfume. Easily one of my favorites. 3. Cold, like a crisp fall morning, when the suns still low, and it’s just crisp and cold. Honorable mention to old books. Just flipping those pages and sniffing is therapeutic somehow.

    So here is a dream

    That I had last night

    That felt way too real.

    I don’t remember too much, but I do remember that it was in the future: specifically the one I want most, with me and Luna together (obviously)

    The other main thing I remember is this:

    I had a son. He was in the dream. It felt so real, both him, and my fatherly instincts to protect him at all costs.

    He had Luna’s eyes, and dark dirty blonde hair. He had this huge grin on his face, and the love I felt in that moment, even if it was just a dream, was so powerful, I can’t begin to describe it.

    It was surreal, incredible, and downright awe inspiring. I’m both in shock it happened, and sad it ended.

      That's similar to my hobbit experience. My brother was Bomber in a play of the Hobbit when I was 4 or 5 and I read it later and understood much more. I recently re-read it (actually, I listened to it) and it was even better than I remember

    And the Way of Kings arrived yesterday, so I annotate that tmrw to distract myself from food bc i’ll be fasting.

    Hello.

    Yesterday I told my girlfriend some rather… damning information about something I’ve been struggling with for a years.

    And yes, I know she’s my girlfriend, and if anyone will understand and be helpful, it’ll be her. Despite this very clear knowledge, my anxiety did not help.

    But it is okay. Better than okay.

    I told her, and she said exactly what I needed to hear.

    ”Thank you for telling me. This doesn’t change the way I think of you.”

    Getting this out to her was the step I wanted to take the most, because a good relationship requires near-total if not total transparency between each partner.

    So, I’ve said that. And she’s still here.

    Life sure is grand.

    That does sound quite fun... I'm spending my actual anniversary at a banquet her school is doing at a really pretty place overlooking Lake Travis in downtown Austin, whereas the evening next, on the 13th, is when I actually deliver to her her gift and my promise. I'm very excited.
