It was nothing to get excited about. As part of my job I meet like 7+ new people each day, and some times of year it is disproportionately teens. It so happened that apparently one of them was trying to flirt with me with her mother in the room. Other than this, nobody’s even tried.

Correct, this is how it works. Kaladin a brands don’t heal because he sees himself as a slave, but Lopens arm does regrow even after so long because he refused to actually accept himself as the one-armed Herdazian

I don’t have the book in front of me right now, but I know that he first mentions it upon their initial meeting... or re-meeting in the ship at the beginning of WoR, before Jasnah is attacked and stuff. And I recall Pattern was not concerned Shallan would kill him, but he was certain of it for a fact, and he just wanted to learn everything he could before Shallan would for sure kill him.

I think a girl flirted with me once but I didn’t pick up on anything. At all. Nothing whatsoever. Not until her mother later joked with someone else about her flirting with me. Same goes when I read books, I never pick up when two people are flirting with each other or even interested until it’s outright mentioned. Im embarrassed to admit, but I saw absolutely nothing between couples like Shallan and Kabsal, Shallan and Kaladin, Kaladin and anyone trying to flirt with him... I’m really bad lol. And I used to have a lot of anxiety about social interactions with the opposite gender. To the point where (I was about 14) I was at a dance, and not dancing with anyone, and this man I once called my friend betrayed me and called out “[random girls name], Knight wants to dance with you!” and then gave me a little push. aaaand I bolted. I feel so bad for the girl now. Who knows, she may have even liked me? I wouldn’t know.

Agreed. I’m leaning more towards an unsnapped misting not lasting any longer because the snapping to initiate the connections did not happen. There are WOBs to support the idea that Preservation initially enters the spirit web once Snapped. I was in a bit of a tangent with my original point of bringing that up, that Mistborn are, in a practical sense, Invested.

Interesting theory with merit. Personally I disagree, I think it is said that Adonalsium created the Dawnshards. I think he created them as separate entities from himself that he could use, and they were just used against him.

I do agree with your statements on Mistborn only being Invested when actively burning (as in, other then their innate Investiture, they can only hold kinetic Investiture), but their spiritweb still contains the connections to access the Investiture, and therefore it is somehow as if they were Invested. They act like they are Invested because of these connections, I mean. Here's a longer WOB on that (I split it into the two spoilers below so I could comment) So here he says that yes, they are not specifically Invested when they are not burning the metal. They are Invested when they are burning it. So far so good. Here's the rest (SH spoilers): So it seems to be from this that Invested isn't the right word, but because of their Spiritual connections, it is still more difficult to, say, Push/Pull on them. So to answer the original question, I think that the answer is well yes, but actually no mainly because "Invested" is the wrong term, but a being with those Allomancy sDNA connections... the universe is going to treat them as if they were partly Invested. Now the question becomes, when do you gain those sDNA connections? Because I realize if they gain those connections upon snapping, then they're screwed. But if it's part of your sDNA from birth, then yes.
