  1. First of the Mornin' The apostrophe is vital.
  2. Well, welcome to this website here @THEpriceOFsoap. I do greet you and welcome you here warmly.
  3. This concept intrigues me on new levels. I would have to say I am a fan of it! It appeals to the logical part of myself because it is believable and I believe it will work well in a story.
  4. When you're talking to your friends about different theologies and bring up Vorinism, wondering why they don't follow. When your friend gets so upset at you and all you're doing is wondering where the angerspren are. When you can draw glyphs as accurately and as subconsciously as any other letter of the alphabet.
  5. Hoid and Kelsier reunited again. Mysterious new girlfriend. Major plot twist. Sanderson, you got me. I did not see that one coming. And due to an ongoing discussion in the Stormlight Archive section, I asked the AI a question.
  6. 367. Never trust the first version of your world's history. There's likely some secret. 368a. I don't care if it's "just a legend." Give it some credibility.
  7. Yes, though it’s been a while and I was mostly focused on plot points. Usually I reread to pay closer attention to other stuff.
  8. If those are Shardslippers, then they are obviously very dangerous. No one would be laughing at him in his slippers once he starts kicking people in the face with them like some kind of kung fu master.
  9. I'm sorry but I'm pretty new to this stuff so forgive me if I speak like I don't know what I'm talking about. But I sometimes wondered if the Heralds gave up voluntarily. I've heard all your points on their powers and whatnot and find probably their biggest weakness was they were still humans. I assume they could feel pain to some degree. What about the utmost degree? For a prolonged period of time? I personally think their will to live and prevent a Desolation would break before they were physically defeated... could be totally wrong, just an idea. They were however, still human. Maybe could be why Taln survived so long on his own, because personally he would not give in. When they give in I guess they maybe just let themselves die. Good question though. Yay I came up with my first cosmere theory.
  10. I would never read this series by Beandon Seanderson:
  11. Done, but in doing so the Intents of the Shards clash so violently you lose control of yourself and become the Shard of Insanity. I wish for Stormlight Archive 4 to be a well-written novel and I will still be alive and able to read and able to obtain an English copy of the book and read it.
  12. On a completely unrelated note, I like your hat, good sir. 9/10
  13. "Your goat is too nice. Old guys shouldn’t have nice goats. It means they spend way too much time swinging a sword or punching people. You should have an old flabby goat. Then I’d trust you." "Hello! Would you like to destroy some goats today?" EDIT: "I am... I was Goat." -- Honor
  14. Same. 'Tis why I am way better at writing stuff in other people's universes than my own stuff, which probably isn't helping my unoriginiality. I wrote a book with a magic system in it and all that and then few years later read Warbreaker for the first time. They're almost exactly the same. I, too, felt like I ripped off of Brandon Sanderson.
  15. One time I walked up to my friend and said, "Do you have any book recommendations?" and she said a lot of things but I forgot them all except for two words (cause they kind of rhymed): Brandon Sanderson. Went up to my library and walked to where all his books were and was greeted by a whole host of fat books like I had never read before. I started inspecting books like Mistborn and had the most difficult time in the world tracking down which book was the start of the series (I got so close but I turned away at the title "Final Empire," cause it sounds like the last one). Instead I grabbed The Way of Kings and read the whole thing. Ever since then (4 months ago) I haven't been able to stop reading all his material.
  16. Welcome to the Shard. Obviously I haven't been on here a long time but I can reasonably say that the people here seem mostly normal, myself excluded.
  17. Oh, no, my favorite order is Edgedancer, actually. Unfortunately I never attracted any cultivationspren... or any spren, really. I'm only a squire to a Windrunner currently. It's not all bad, since Windrunner is my second favorite order.
  18. YKYASF when you give an abrupt, sharp intake of breath every time you turn off the light. or when you have to watch your stormin' language
  19. Thanks @The traveller and @Wander89!
  20. Thank you, and thanks for the warning. I'm waiting on HOA to become available at my library... it says it's got a year before it is available but I don't know if that's right or not. Not sure what I'm gonna do.
  21. Thanks! Favorite Sanderson book of the ones I read is... I mean I think right now it's Oathbringer, and I am fresh out of crazy theories! My brain doesn't think well outside of the box. I do plan to come up with some in the near future though.
  22. Hello. I am new to the forums... which is why I am here. I have been a Brandon Sanderson fan for a long time, almost four months now even I am a fast reader, however, and have read: Mistborn: The Final Empire and also The Well of Ascension Warbreaker The Stormlight Archive: WoK, WoR, OB, and Edgedancer Everything in Arcanum Unbounded that doesn't spoil any of the other stuff (Shadows for Silence... um, whatever the Sixth of the Dusk one is called, etc) Skyward The Rithmatist All the Legion stuff Steelheart Also I've been on Brandon's website for the last few hours doing other things and I just noticed that Stormlight 4 rough draft is now from 76% to 79% yay So yeah I guess this is hello
