  1. It would make sense as a title, but I mean... "of War" will already be done with Rhythm of War. There's almost always a variety to each title, and there isn't ever a repeat like that would be in any of Brandon's other works, or in the majority of popular books. I don't think they'd go for it even if it did fit better purely for aesthetic reasons. They can be really picky about what book titles will go through, so if Brandon wants to pull of this KoW thing, I wish him good luck. The Skyward 3, for example, was going to be titled Nowhere. Which would probably make the most sense for the novel, as Brandon would know, but the rest of his team isn't on board with it purely for aesthetic reasons, and there isn't even a real problem with that. Stones Unhallowed could maybe make more sense than whatever it will end up being, but yet it doesn't seem as likely. Just because it makes sense doesn't mean a likely choice, though I do admit that makes sense in context of Roshar's past. Speaking of the previous title, Stones Unhallowed, we should probably try and figure out what kind of in-world book that would be. To me it sounds like a book from Shinovar... maybe about unclean stones? Maybe Szeth writes it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  2. Not sure if they would do war again right after Rhythm of War. Possible K words: Knight, Kingdom, Kaladin, Kale, King, Kangaroo, Ketchup, Kin, Kitty Possible middle words: of (probably), or, on Possible W words: Wit, Ways, Winds, Warlord, Watch, Wedding, Welfare, Whales (Spacewhales?), White My possible combinations: King of Wit, Kale of Whales, Knight of White (?), Kingdom of Winds, Kangaroo on Watch, etc.
  3. The means I was joking. I get that. My poorly-made point was that it doesn’t seem right that Heralds would die in mostly normal ways having practically infinite access to Investiture or whatever. I still get it though. Infinite Investiture is awesome and powerful and they took down many thunderclasts with Lowe’s and all that...... but doesn’t do you any good if you happen to find yourself smashed flat.
  4. Welcome, @Oceanic Technocracy, to this wonderful land of Sanderson's works. Be careful on the forums for spoilers. There are many.
  5. Of course, if we mean 'we' as in the Rosharans in general, then we must also speak of 'our' as Rosharans in general. As in 'our ancient enemies, the Unmade'. Plus if you look at the context of the other books, it's pretty clear that they are talking of the Rosharans in general. Still doesn't change the fact that the Dysian Aimians fought in Desolations, possibly alongside the Knights Radiant. It isn't much of a stretch to reason that the reason the Sleepless were seen fighting in the Desolations with the Knights Radiant were because they were a part of the Knights Radiant.
  6. "Um, yeah, actually," Knight answered, sitting up in his chair, looking at the monitor. "Two HOWL agents, in fact. I wonder what they're doing." That was when Knight began to crave a hamburger.
  7. Summing up this one Q&A at the starsight release thing. It's not on the Arcanum WoB thing yet but someone should put it on there. Link to the question is at the bottom. Basically, he says it is indeed possible for a Mistborn to burn a piece of a Shardblade, though it would be hard to make happen. If a Mistborn were to do this, it would act as an alloy of the godmetal of Honor and would do something (of course, what it does is a RAFO). Now, I appreciate y'all's thoughts on this or what it might do, though I don't think we can go very far there. However, I would also like to point to the fact that, including all the godmetals and their alloys and all that, there should be a lot of different metals, each (likely) with Allomantic, Feruchemical, and Hemalurgic abilities. My main problem is I am, really, out of ideas when it comes to what any of these new and unknown metals would be able to do. Like, what we already have covers a lot. What else is there? And that is where I invite ideas on new powers and abilities for metals. Check out all the ideas (not necessarily theories) inside the spoiler thing. I will edit it when new ideas come along. Thoughts? The ideas don't even have to be viable, just interesting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9lgxCojYzY at point 55:49
  8. Somebody asked Brandon about it at the Starsight signing Q&A, whether it was in orbit or whether it was stationary (saw it on YouTube). The answer was, of course, RAFO.
  9. Any of the Ideals really: “Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.” “I will protect those who cannot protect themselves.”
  10. Nah, If you included everything it would probably be closer to the amount of beads in the Shadesmar oceans.
  11. Can’t you stuff it a waterproof casing and swallow it? It’s still inside the body so it should be able to be burned, right?
  12. @The traveller Your order of: 1 liter blood, iron, beads of atium, nicrosil, 1gm ettmetal, pewter dust, old bones of a svrakiss, and dragon hair has been shipped! Your tracking number is: 0000001. I am on Scadrial, now, as I suspect you are. I have been very busy lately on business trips, but I had enough time to peruse your letters and do so conclude that you are going to need my help. Very well. Though I had previously figured nonintervention to be quite a good policy, I no longer see it that way. This "Shaky Sky Pillars War," as it has been put, would be very bad for business and ultimately the good of the cosmere. It is with great sadness that I admit that I, too, have morals. If we are to join together against a common threat, we should have a name. We're practically a worldhoppin' group. I address to everyone, now! We would be better united under some name, like the Seventeenth Shard is, or the Ghostbloods, or really any of them. Ideas? Sincerely, Knight of Iron
  13. I don’t have anyone particular in mind, but I do have a theory that right when Kaladin gets a girl and has finally figured out how to be happy in life, he’s going to die. Sounds like something Brandon would do to me.
  14. And alas, a new plot has arisen. Knight of Iron (KoI) did not get any chickens because some man had taken the one he had magically gotten for free, because he was a skaa bridgeman. He wasn’t even aware of Stormsgiving and had never ever gotten a chicken before. In his life. He sat down on the side of a road, a chickenless man, wondering what he was missing out on in life.
  15. The stick wasn’t capable of understanding much, unlike the thread. Jasnah knew this would be tough. Tougher, maybe than getting an ardent to abandon the Almighty.
  16. Knight yawned and wondered what was going on. He kicked back in his chair, relaxed with a nice cold root beer, and played back the audio of the conversation. He had gotten as good as confirmation that those two suspicious characters were indeed from HOWL. Boss was going to be happy indeed. Knight chuckled to himself, pleased. ROAR wouldn’t fall. It couldn’t. Not while Knight still breathed. Or, really, anyone from ROAR still breathed.
  17. Granted! But it is deathly poisonous. I wish I had someone, anyone, in this CRUEL MISERABLE WORLD to just... TALK to.....! *sobbing*
  18. @Honorless @FictionSpren @The traveller @PrinceGenocide I send the most humblest of greetings indeed, to each and every one of you. I think I may have created a marvelous invention in interplanetary postal dealings that will change the course of history! I call it: a mail advertisement. Truly a legendary accomplishment. One day, in the distant future, I see people receiving dozens of these in a day! I think the all caps gives it a nice touch. Check it out: YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THIS SALE!! 20% OFF ALL ROSHARAN ITEMS + FREE DELIVERY!! SAVE MONEY ON STORMLIGHT, SHARDBLADES, SOULCASTERS, AND OF COURSE, ALL THE WINES!! ONLY AT CMBIA!!! LIMITED TIME ONLY!! Now as for the war that is brewing. I have taken residence on a secret minor Shardworld and have decided against my decision of nonintervention. I would love if someone would tell what exactly the problem is. I have been quite busy lately with work and all and haven’t had the chance to review. Thanks! 19. Can Kaladin get drunk? Only if he wants to, right? I don’t know if he would ever let himself get drunk, with him trying to protect everyone.
  20. Maybe the whole book Dalinar just keeps losing all the time as Odium just keeps winning and winning. Then in the end Dalinar just flings Nightblood into battle and all evil is destroyed. An effective strategy but I don’t see it working long term. Anyways, I really only joined in to ask where can I find this chapter?
  21. Ye have asked and ye shall receive! I pass

  23. You stopped the game for days lol. I'll take this one. Granted! Your bane is every time you use any of these powers, you lose all of that power. If you use Awakening, you permanently lose all your Breaths. If you use Surgebinding, your honorspren pops away into never having existed, etc. I wish this game would continue going.
  24. The formerly invincible thread gave in, beginning both the implosion and explosion of the existence of things.
  25. @The traveller Alas, I do understand. I have arrived on Roshar. By the time you write back, you probably will have purchased some of my products already. By this point I am wanted on nearly every planet I go to, for reasons I do not agree with. So what if I managed to acquire some Shardplate? Valuable fabrials? I am most wanted in Shinovar, I believe, considering my total failure of an attempt at an Honorblade. Honestly. Regardless, I shall be in disguise, though I think you shall know me when you see me. And I know we have not mentioned the topic in a while, but what of the man who is called Hoid? I feel us cosmere-aware people ought to know more of him, yet we don't know as much as we think we do. I seem to acquired a clue as to his origins, though, in the form of a mysterious acronym: RAFO. My scholars have only one guess as to the meaning: the Really Awesome Farmers Organization. I doubt this. I fear it may be a dead end, or a false trail, but it is all we have. If you are going to watch worlds burn to accomplish your goals with tears in your eyes, please notify me at least three standard months beforehand. I would very much like to harvest as many valuable resources from those worlds before they end, for business reasons of course. Thank you. Sincerely,Knight of IronCEO of the Cosmere Mercantile Business Industries Association ___________________________________________________________________ @FictionSpren My informants do tell me you seem to be inflicted with a very severe case of pessimism. I do not see why this is case. I am absolutely splendid right now, and you therefore need not fear. Perhaps some mercantile would cheer you up? We have special concoctions of all types of beverages, in combination with nearly all the Allomantic metals, in very convenient bottles. If business does not cheer you up, perhaps, er, other types of business will? I can provide Lifeless armies, a quite substantial amount of Breaths, and much more. If I have anything that could offer you of services, please do write back. If I do not, then please do write back. It pains me to hear of your hopelessness. Keep researching fiction spren, if that shall make you happy. Sincerely,Knight of IronCEO of the Cosmere Mercantile Business Industries Association
