I have five questions. 1) What is that bird as your profile pic? 2) Did you get to part four of Rhythm of War yet? 3) Do you know where my wallet is, if not can you help me find it? 4) When did you start writing and what was your first real story in your opinion? 5) I teleported bread.

What the heck is HOME? TPBM is not an Ookla (at least right now). -
Anyone Ascending in the Stormlight Archive front and back five. I did find this relevant WOB from, like, yesterday! So I'm just going to send this thread theorizing down the direction of people with "minor cameos" who will become important people of the cosmere in the future. Anyone come to mind? Only ones for me is people like Gavinor and Oroden from SA, but I assume their role, if any, has more to do with the rest of the SA rather than the future of the cosmere.

True, but do they have it better than bridgemen?

The man still glared at him, and Orpheus took a deep breath. Man, was he intimidating. Orpheus was surprised to see that he was a little younger than he had originally thought, but despite that, he still looked like he could easily take out Orpheus if he needed to. And that sword was menacing. And it seems the voice that had gotten him here had fallen silent yet again. Well, if this didn’t go how he wanted, he was just going to have to deal. Orpheus cleared his throat and decided to play the role of a student. He was young enough, right? “No, just admiring your sword. Any idea where I could learn to wield one of those things?”

Eɴᴛᴇʀ ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴜɪʟᴅɪɴɢ, Dᴀʀᴋᴇsᴛ Oɴᴇ. "Why?" Orpheus whispered. "I'm not going to use our powers. I'm done with you." Tʜᴇ Cᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴛ ɪs ɴᴏᴛ ᴏᴠᴇʀ. Yᴏᴜ sᴇʀᴠᴇ ᴍᴇ. "You rarely speak to me. Why--" Dᴏ ɴᴏᴛ ǫᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ ᴍᴇ. Gᴏ. And so Orpheus pulled back the iron gate and slipped inside stealthily, still unsure what he was going to do. But he was bound to certain wishes of Zᴀɴɪᴅᴀʀ's, and this seemed to fall within his criteria. As he made his way through the school--following the promptings of the demon towards the clashing of swords and clamor of students--he thought about what it meant that Zᴀɴɪᴅᴀʀ was speaking to him again. It had been only a week this time since his last contact. The demon was becoming more and more active within his mind. When he was younger, he would only stop by every few months or so on random occasion. But now it seemed he had been speaking to him at least every week now. What did it mean? Orpheus gasped when he saw the fighting. He had seen others use magic before, but never battle. The students used magic from nearly all varieties Orpheus knew of. And their skill with the sword... oh, how he envied that. He had mainly only trained with his bow, for hunting, but he had gotten decent with a knife, for taking out beasts that had gotten too close. The sword was nothing like wielding a knife. The students danced elegantly in the firelight, and Orpheus watched, mesmerized. A few of the students closest to him noticed him, however, and their eyes darted back and forth from him to their opponent. Of course his curse would reveal him. He was about to get out of the school when he noticed a tall man in a dark coat and a wide-brimmed hat on the other side of the courtyard. Orpheus noticed he was hiding a large sword beneath his coat, and it looked as if he didn't belong there. Wᴀᴛᴄʜ ʜɪᴍ.

And I nominate Nameless.

the dragon flew over its wide, barren, and pulchritudinous arm.

Orpheus held still, careful not make a sound. The wild hog, a true rarity in the forests around these parts, was grazing not very far away. Orpheus gripped his bow, and breathed in slowly. He couldn't make this shot; he was too far away. He would have to move in closer if he wanted a chance to bring down this precious beast. It could get him quite a bit of money. And so he was presented with the difficult task of getting as close as he can without alerting it to his presence. However, stealth wasn't the problem. Orpheus navigated the trees, branches, and controlled his steps carefully to avoid the loud crunching of the snow. No, Orpheus was too good at that, as shown as he was able to sneak to a different vantage point to have a better shot. His problem was his powers. Orpheus lay, unmoving, in his new vantage point and watched to see if he was pushing it with his range. He held his breath, waiting. The hog looked up and sniffed around. Orpheus quickly drew back an arrow he had taken from his quiver and fired as the hog turned to look directly at him. He was too late. The hog had already darted, and ran deeper into the wilderness. Orpheus stood up, frustrated. How was he supposed to hunt with this... this abomination of his powers? After Orpheus had made his way back to the town and picked up some bread from the local market for the night, he walked on by the school. Orpheus did not go to school, as he thought he would be better at hunting than learning about anything. He hadn't cared to learn at all. His mother had disagreed, but Orpheus was too stubborn. And he wondered what would have gone differently if he had chose that path. Because now... now he yearned to know. He heard the clamor of the magical students as they battled. Orpheus had thought before about asking if anyone knew anything about his predicament, but had refused to consider it. And for good reason. What Orpheus had was not something to be utilized to its potential. To all, he pretended it didn't exist, though everyone knew something was off about him. But he couldn't get rid of it either... it was--he was--a necessary evil. Dᴏ ɴᴏᴛ ꜰᴏʀɢᴇᴛ ᴏᴜʀ Cᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴛ, Dᴀʀᴋɴᴇss ᴏꜰ Nɪɢʜᴛ, spoke an impossibly deep voice in his head. The voice who was always listening, always watching, who always knew. His demon. Orpheus lingered outside of the school, debating whether to go in.

I know this applies to a lot of us here, but I logged to the Shard today and saw the image on the left, I had to mention it. Nothing like I'd ever seen before! And this is only how many would fit on my screen! @Bearer of all agonies.

I waited until I finished RoW to even get back on the Shard. I can't trust myself going anywhere near spoilers. So yes, actually. TPBM knows what my profile picture is and then will say what it is -
*not sure if this has been brought up* For those saying Kelsier isn't evil enough, it is confirmed that Kelsier is a psychopath with lack of empathy. If his life had gone a little differently, he could have been (and I quote): "A very, very evil dude." Link to actual WOB: And let me also just add the fact that Brandon has also stated that we have seen proto-Ghostbloods somewhere, outside of the Stormlight Archive. Where better than at the end of Secret History?

Some of you may know of a tradition that goes around the Shard here, coming the 26th, when everyone will become “Ookla” in honor of someone’s birthday or whatnot. In Nazh’s notes (I believe it’s him) before page 845, when he’s explaining the glyph of Roshar, at the very bottom right he mentions the next page was “how to swear like a Horneater,” then proceeded to say Oo’kali’laa’e! (Sound familiar?) Someone tell me if I’m just grasping at straws here, or if I actually found something Brandon put in there. And I’m already claiming Oo’kali’laa’e of Iron just to remind everyone who found this, lol.

Probably he wants what Kalak wanted, to get offworld, and what Mraize wanted, to get Stormlight offworld, probably so he could get himself offworld.
