When he touched the Spiritual Realm it helped heal him and give him clarity, similar to how Investiture is how Hoid retains his memories and sanity. Ishar is in Tukar because he has gone mad. He believes he is Adonalsium and that he rightfully should be the ruler of everything. Conveniently, the people in Tukar worship the Heralds as gods so he used that faith to elevate himself to become their leader. A Bondsmith unchained can do almost anything. Shards can bind other Shards in agreements, but both are under strict confinement’s and are unable to break their word. An unchained Bondsmith could break their word, or they could end the agreement, or they could transfer the agreement. Imagine if Dalinar has said “Odium, you can choose anyone to fight this toddler, if you win then you are free”. Then, once Odium agreed, Dalinar switched the bond so that Odium was instead fighting Dalinar himself. This is just one small example of what could be done. An unchained Bondsmith has the power of a Shard, but without all the rules and stipulations.

To be honest, I would be fine if he was the Lord Ruler. I actually liked Rashek once I understood his reasons. I will reiterate, in real life, I would never stand for what either of them has done, but it the book it makes sense.

Exactly. In real life, he should probably go to prison or a mental asylum. In the book, that is possibly the best character arc, motivations, and actions I have ever seen. Ya, I like knowing that I will be part of something. In my mind, the Arcanists and Harmony only observe, never take action. Odium is evil. The Ire isn’t well known. Elantrians aren’t of use when they leave a certain area. Dalinar will probably plan for years before taking decisive actions. Kelsier, he follows through. He makes a plan and completes it. He knows what is going on and he adapts, but he doesn’t back down.

I agree, Kelsier will always hold a place in my heart as the first main character protagonist leader charismatic person that I met in the Cosmere. Is there a way to edit a poll? I would like to add Elegy's suggestion

All characters in the Cosmere are becoming more aware. Navani learned that other planets exist with life in RoW. On Scadrial, they are developing technology and becoming more understanding of the workings of the universe. Nalthis is already Cosmere aware and they have some people that have supreme power and access to magic. Sel hasn't been heard from for a long time, so we can only guess at the progress they have made. To be honest, I haven't read White Sand, so I have no clue how advanced they are. As these planets expand and inevitably clash, whose side will you be on? All of these people have different goals and aspirations, and some are in direct opposition with one another. Divisions and factions are going to form, and people are going to take sides. It will be like in Hunger Games. There are multiple protagonists, but people have to pick a side anyway, even though there are several people who are "the good guy".

Surgebinding is a mixture of Honor and Cultivations power. It existed before Odium arrived in the Rosharan system. When Odium arrived he created Voidbinding and granted the Voidbringers the ability to use that power.

Adolin is great! He would make a great Edgedancer in my opinion. He always cares for everyone and the ideal "I will remember" fits him perfectly!
