After some thought, it would come down to skill and temperaments. The seer has to really hope that the compounder will continually use their metals, and not only burn when the seer is close. The seer might recognize that they don't need to burn their metal constantly, only when they are about to attack. It comes down to the individual. How much they have practiced, if they can take a risk, and the luck of going against someone who doesn't properly fight.

1. Navani shouldn't have bonded the Sibling, Rlain should have. 2. Hoid/Wit does not need to be romancing anyone for two reasons. The first is that he is extremely old. The second is that it just isn't part of his character. He is the guy who is everywhere and nowhere at once. He knows almost everything and has wide goals. Romance isn't a part of who he is. 3. I wish Moash hadn't lost his eyesight. Now he can be viewed as a victim, not as an aggressor. 4. Raboniel should have been more trusting with Navani and the two of them should have actually worked together.

Let's make the assumptions that 1. They have unequal amounts of metals, but they have the same burn time. 2. They are in an open field with no places to hide or run. 3. The only weapons they have are their hands. @Anarchy If you want to change these points, then just let me know. A gold compounder would beat a seer. They have the same burn time, but the gold compounded doesn't need to constantly burn. Within a few seconds, the gold will have more metals remaining than a seer. Eventually, the seer will run out and be exposed to attacks that don't need to be careful. This is similar to the scene where Dalinar is fighting at Rathalas for the first time. He comments about how Shardplate is better than having a Shardblade. A Shardblade is amazingly powerful and can kill with one cut, but if they get hit by anything they are still dead. A Shardblade can let you kill people with one punch and you get protection from almost all weapons. The gold compounder is Shardplate and a seer is a Shardblade.

I think that the 4 Dawnshards are Change, Survive, Unite, and Inspire.

I have 7. I like to be prepared. I also have 13 normal sized ones and 5 large ones. TPBM is eating a frankfurter from Germany, no American hotdogs are allowed to substitute.

Do you believe in the Big Bang Theory or that the universe has always been? If you believe in the Big Bang, do you believe that the singularity was able to synthesize matter by converting unthinkable high levels of energy into atoms? Or do you believe that all matter was condensed into one and at a certain point it was spontaneously released? If you believe the 2nd one, then do you think that there were universes before this one? I have discussed with multiple scientists and there are several who have theorized that the universe follows a pattern - Big Bang, then expansion, then slowing down, then contraction, and finally all matter is condensed into 1 point again. Soon after a Bug Bang occurs once again. Is the universe stretching or expanding? What area is it expanding into?

This post was really convenient. Since Dawnshard got released I have been intending to read it, but I never got around to it. Today I saw the post, bought Dawnshard on Kindle, and I finished reading it in just a couple hours.

This has happened to me at least 3 times that I can remember. The best I can figure is that there is some kind of overlap between days. At one time, the day will “end” and reputation counts toward the next day. But it actually doesn’t. It can count towards both days for a time span of a few hours. This is my only theory.
