Why didn’t Vin see Kelsier?
Steel Inquisitive replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Mistborn
Kell learns that he can talk to people after that, right? I can't recall (it has been awhile since I read SH). So that particular instance was probably just lack of info on Kell's part. -
Why didn’t Vin see Kelsier?
Steel Inquisitive replied to Lord Mistborn Bondbreaker's topic in Mistborn
I believe it was because Ruin was actively keeping Kell away from Vin. As I recall Kell never even got close to Vin because Ruin was blocking him. Spook on the other hand was only lightly monitored by Ruin. -
Confusion solved! thanks @Calderis and @hoiditthroughthegrapevine for fixing that crisis for me I am truly curios to see how the nahel bond works with Venli.... I really hope there are some disadvantages for the listener radiants as well as some nifty side effects.

@Quantus here's The quote I was thinking about.... And now I'm confused.... Because your right that the spren were mimicking the honorblades. So were the spren considering joining odium and fused? If not, how did they "betray" The Listneners? The spren betrayed us, it’s often felt. Our minds are too close to their realm That gives us our forms, but more is then Demanded by the smartest spren, We can’t provide what the humans lend, Though broth are we, their meat is men. —From the Listener Song of Spren, 9th stanza WoR ch39

If your arm is cut by a shardblade it becomes lifeless. The person won't be able to move that arm in anyway. His soul no longer extends through his arm. Now, what if after his arm has become "dead" he got a cut in that arm? Would it heal like normal? Or would he bleed to death?

Well, we at least know he was soothing 24/7. So that's one metal he should be a savant in. Also, does how powerful you are determine how quickly you become a savant? If so that could explain why Wax isn't a savant. He's not powerful enough.

You all should be proud of me! I looked up a WoB:-) Mason Wheeler [PENDING REVIEW] Nightblood is the most ridiculously over-invested thing in the Cosmere, second only to the Shards? Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Yes. Mason Wheeler [PENDING REVIEW] Was this true from the moment of his creation, or did it grow in power over time. Brandon Sanderson [PENDING REVIEW] Grew in power over time. Kind of answers a question that people have been wondering. But, yes. I agree that timing is off...

But isn't there a WoB out there that says Nightblood has grown more powerful? Could be the reason Nightblood is growing stronger is that he is absorbing ruin's extra investiture.... With sazed feeding him from afar.... Maybe hoid told him about Nightblood in his letter.

Then why did spren choose humans? I believe there is a line WoR that says something along the line of "the singers were to close to cognitive realm and the spren choose humans because they could pull the spren into the physical realm more." I believe the line was in one of the listener's songs. ... (Obviously I paraphrase. Also I'm not tech smart enough to find the exact quote...sigh:-)

I don't think a Singer can get a shardblade. The spren are a lot more bound when they bond a Singer vs a human. I thought that was why the spren "betrayed" the singers in the first place.

Why did Aona and Skai decide to settle together?
Steel Inquisitive replied to goody153's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I would love it if they were a bro and sis team against the world. -
Rysn - Thaylen Queen?
Steel Inquisitive replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
I believe they elect their monarchs... So possibly? She does have high connections with her former master and all. -
That's kinda what I thought but wasn't sure Having an entire race that are Seekers seemed a little too OP.

We know that a bronze misting could (with practice) be able to hear the rhythms. So if a Singer was on Scadrial would they be able to hear (with practice) allomancy?

Ishar DOES have it together more than some of them... I mean he's a king while the others are beggars, thieves, and madmen... And he seems to be the only one not hiding. he is still crazy of course

I think any of the above names could be used for the same shard depending on the vessel.

I like this a lot.... It does kinda fit. We got two extreme passionate shards so I think it would fit to have a super chill shard... Just kinda hanging out. Maybe it could be the shard that just wants to survive? If there is a shard of Apathy, it wouldn't really care beyond not dying.

I think this is the future of hemalurgy. It doesn't HAVE to be a gruesome ordeal. It could become more like donating your organs upon death.

I am very interested in Sel but... Nightblood/warbreacker still has important characters to the rest of the cosmere. Sooooo

I think it could work because preservation and ruin are mixed to the point of being one shard. It would be hard on both of them... Trying to maintain perfect harmony while having to contend with someone else (no matter how similar they are they will have differences of opinion.)

I originally (as in first time reading series. Non-Cosmere aware status.) Thought Feruchemy was Preservation's magic due to the fact that you are preserving power for future use and while I did some reading on the subject (post -transcendent-moment-of-realization that the cosmere existed) and realised it wasn't. It took me a bit to understand how allomancy was preservation's...but I got there

I understand. None of this was new information to me. ( well to be fair I hadn't thought about atium rusting) I was only commenting that it feels off at first glance in the same way that fire is hottest when white and yet blue stars are hotter than white stars.

Manufacturing allomancers with a stamp and a spike
Steel Inquisitive replied to Extesian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Wow! I totally thought you were going somewhere else with that Like what if you stamp a piece of metal to believe that it had been used as hemalurgic spike. -
Flesh Soulcaster Savantism
Steel Inquisitive replied to Unlicensed Hemalurgist's question in Cosmere Q&A
A meat soulcaster might be able to blend in with society more than Kaza would have been able to. Sure people might think you have a weird skin disease but you could pretend your normal. On a side note, would the flesh start to decay? Kaza had smoke drifting away from her so maybe?- 7 replies
