  1. I know/agree with what your saying. It all makes logical sense. Feruchemy just feels more like preservation's magic. Do you see what I'm saying? I agree with the above. But do you agree that at first glance it feels off? (Both atium not decaying and allomancy.)
  2. ALL of bridge 4. Well most of them. Whenever Brandon needs to have a painful death scene that wouldn't hurt the plotline too much, he will kill a member of bridge 4. This I foretell.
  3. Unless I'm mistaken that is how all investiture works. So the magic system it's self is what is tied to the shard. Ruining metal in order to create power seems like the in-between system. I read in another thread why allomancy truly is preservation's magic system, but it still is counter intuitive to me. (Sorry if this wasn't what you were talking about. I'm going to bed.)
  4. Makes sense. It just is counter intuitive But then again that seems to be a thing with scadrial. Preservation's magic system not being feruchemy. Cough cough.
  5. Yeah weird.... This is going to keep me up at night:-)
  6. I agree with all of you, but it just feels weird that the physical manifestation of Ruin wouldn't decay....
  7. After using a spike to steal from someone, couldn't you give them the spike to keep them from dying? They would still be a misting ( or mistborn) and wouldn't have to stay on sel. If so than that removes a lot of the moral problems.
  8. That makes sense. If there is infinite power there should be infinite amount of shards. Autonomy seems like she would be the most likely to want more shards. It's kinda late for her to try to make more tho as all the power is now assigned to one of the sixteen.
  9. I think Renarin is the most likely. He can leave a potent prophecy before he dies that would have massive impact on future books plotlines.
  10. So if Nightblood were separated from his sheath, and left in space, he would eat himself?I And if the Returned wore aluminum clothing would they not need more breaths?
  11. Alloy it with pewter only! Become the hulk indestructible, super strong, and never tired!
  12. Or..... Alloy the bead with just one other metal to become super powerful misting.... Like with zinc... You would be able to toy with entire cities without leaving your home! And being so powerful would probably make it hard for seekers to pinpoint your location. On the other hand being a super powerful bronze misting would allow you to sense any tiny use of magic. Don't know how far your senses could go with that much power but I imagine it would be significant!
  13. ALL of Mistborn.... Sanderson had me at every turn
  14. Again, true. However there is a surge of division which is entirely the opposite of binding but is still in honor's magic system. I'm not necessarily against the fused not having adhesion. I just think that there should be more to it than Odium's preferences.
  15. True.... But Progression is purely of Cultivation and by the same logic they shouldn't have that surge either. Unless Cultivation is helping them.....
  16. I think if you could find a way to separate the stormfather and the highstorm so that they both could function without the other then the stormfather could totally go to space(which might make surgebinding the most powerful magic in cosmere if stormfather could provide stormlight without highstorm.) And totally agree about willshapers! Seems like their thing, so to speak.
  17. The stormfather would probably refuse to go. He is after all the father of the storm so not sure how he would feel without the highstorm.
  18. Good point. I guess it's possible but not easy(at least for now) I'm not sure the stormfather could leave or what that would do to Roshar if he left....
  19. That was my original impression as well, but as I think about it I believe there's a wob saying that the gravitation surge could be used for space travel easily. which if the radiant couldn't take his spren with him that doesn't make sense.
  20. I thought that only applied for travel through the cognitive realm. It might be easier to travel via space than CR.
  21. The Fused only can use one surge right? And there are nine orders of Fused. And there are ten surges.... So which of the surges do you guys think the fused can't use? We have seen them use: Gravitation Friction Lightweaving And Amaram used a lot more( I'm not sure which) So that leaves a lot of potential surges the fused can't use. My personal opinion is that they can't use Transformation because (as I understand it) Transformation gives an object stormlight to make it change. It could be that the spren of objects on Roshar won't accept voidlight. (If this has already been talked to death.... Than I'm sorry)
  22. Thanks all. I guess that makes sense. This question has bothered me for awhile. Nice to have an answer.
  23. At the end of the book we see Vin and Ati pop into the cognitive realm. They were supposedly both cognitive shadows at this point. What stopped either of them from re-ascending? We saw before in the book that cognitive shadows can ascend. It doesn't make sense to me that Vin would just decide to die when she could have taken the powers of preservation back and made Elend immortal so they could have their happy ending..... My question is, what stops a a shard from immediately re-ascending if their shard isn't shattered?
  24. Mistborn. I have a feeling that we've only scratched the surface of scadrial's magic. Do I even need to think about this? If course I would be fullborn! I'll think about it....
  25. I have always thought that being a bronze misting would be the most useful for greater cosmere adventures. Being able to detect other magic would be helpful in another planet.
