    "This game is gonna get pretty interesting." "Define interesting." "Oh god, oh god, we're all gonna die?" Welcome to Mid-Range Game 55: Sudden but Inevitable Betrayal! The theme of this game is based mostly on Serenity, the movie following the Firefly series. If you have not watched either, I recommend at least the movie. (Though, really, it's a single season. You've binged more than that in a day. Don't deny it.) It's not necessary in order to still enjoy the game. @Ookla the Porched (Araris Valerian) will be IMing.     I just finished cleaning up up the GM sign-up list. Please let me know if I have missed any sign-ups or removed slots that should have been there. The following people I have marked as inactive. If you dispute inactivity, or want to be marked simply as busy, let me know and I will restore it. If you're busy without a likely date for return, consider keeping it as inactive for the moment.     I agree that it should not be pressured to put things into blue text. From my standpoint, blue text is supposed to be used for things like saying you'll be inactive for a turn or two because you're going to be away from a computer and mobile is unreliable. It shouldn't really be used for day-to-day issues like forgetting about the game or being short on time, because we all have time constraints. If we all did blue text whenever we have to explain away why we were gone, the whole thread would be blue and it would no longer be the resource it should be.

    It's been a few days since the QF ended, so let's start trying to get an MR going. Me - Don't have a pass, but I think @Kasimir had offered one to me for a Firefly game 6.     Great game everyone! Especially to Mat for being able to survive through all of that. Thanks, Squirrel, for converting me and letting me (even if only briefly) help with the elim win. I do love being evil. Yeah... that was unnerving. That coin scares me.

    Oh, that makes me feel better. I haven't paid much attention to roles in the game. OT has been killer these last two weeks.

    If it helps, I'm not covering for Sja. I'm probably the only vanilla person in this game, though I know that doesn't help my case. It's why I've avoided claiming once Araris confirmed me as not Sja.

    Squirrel From what I've read, they're probably the more likely Sja candidate than Xino. I'm hesitant to kill me too, because it would be nice to get two elims today. Preferrably Sja so they can't get another conversion off. It would be better to hit someone who's actually a Sja candidate and not just a conversion candidate.

    Someone created a PM between TUO and I on C1 (got it C2). I don't know if that's one of those that's been listed quite yet. If you believe Araris (confirmed now), I am not a Sja candidate. These votes on Tani are interesting, but I'm inclined to let her either die to the filter or have a chance to come back and defend herself (or a pinch hitter if one is available). I'm still catching up on the other bits of the thread though, so my vote is still pending.

    I'm going to add the the one vote chaos here and vote Azmine. This is purely a gut read, though, so I don't have much logical reasoning to back it up. I promise to try to be a bit more active in the next few days but work has been absolutely brutal and my brain is fried.

    Illwei I'm strongly opposed to a Kas exe because I don't believe he's Sja, and he would be a far better kill target than conversion. He's high-profile and everyone will be side-eying him all game if he doesn't die. Illwei's general tone is setting of alarm bells for trying to deflect suspicion.

    I appreciate this greatly! But also, I'm not sure conversion D1 is the unconventional play. Yes, chances of getting voted off are low when it's random, but if the odds are against you, that's game over. Getting a second person quickly helps cover the worst case scenario. Reading through last cycle and found this. This is a good observation, but the reason I disappeared was because the game vanished from my mind.

    This game was a wonderful welcome back to a few people! Thanks to Steeldancer for bringing us this Rosharan-based anonymous game. I really enjoyed being an elim again, despite the loss. Congratulations to the Rebel Singers for resisting Odium. One day, though. One day. As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread. Not only will we get you added to the list, but we'd also be more than willing to help out in any way we can. You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone in our Art of Game Creation thread. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're thinking about. If you would rather keep some detail secret, or are self-conscious about posting in thread (there's really no need to be; while we do slaughter each other, we are very polite about it), then I'm sure one of our fantastic committee members (Amanuensis, STINK, Sart, Fifth Scholar, Straw, Haelbarde, and Young Bard) would be more than willing to help you out in private. Thanks again to everyone that played, and we look forward to killing seeing you in future games!
