  1. Cycle Four: Bury Your Bones in an Archaeological Dig! write-up pending The Wandering Wizard has died! They were a Free Kingdomer! The_God_King was attacked, but survived! Steeldancer has died of inactivity! They were a Free Kingdomer! Vote Count: The Wandering Wizard (5) - A Joe in the Bush, The Unknown Novel, The_God_King, Kasimir, Conquestor The Unknown Novel (3) - JNV, The Wandering Wizard, Devotary of Spontaneity Everyone welcome @Archer, who has agreed to step in and replace Kasimir. Player List: This cycle ends Thursday, June 28, at 4 p.m. PDT.
  2. This is your 10-hour warning! Get your votes and actions in before it's too late!
  3. Just popping around for a quick inactivity warning for @Steeldancer and @Luckspren! If you don't post this turn, you will be replaced or removed from the game if I can't find enough pinch-hitters.
  4. Cycle Three: Distinguishing Between Popsicles and Insanity Well, that's one librarian that's no longer a problem. I was starting to get a little worried there. Remember that whole popsicle conundrum? I was starting to think it was impossible. The librarians really have their network into the Lens Crafters. But it turns out I was wrong (yes, surprising, I know. I can be wrong sometimes). It was simply improbable. Fifth Scholar has been executed! They were an Evil Librarian! Droughtbringer has been killed! They were a Free Kingdomer! Vote Count: Fifth Scholar (3) - A Joe in the Bush, The_God_King, Devotary of Spontaneity The_God_King (2) - Fifth Scholar, Kasimir The Unknown Novel (1) - The Wandering Wizard The Wandering Wizard (1) - Conquestor Player List This cycle ends Tuesday, June 26 at 4 p.m. PDT.
  5. This cycle is closed! Please stop PMing until the next turn is posted, and when you resume, please mark Cycle 3 on your first PM!
  6. Cycle Two: Did they have... horn rims? Nope. They sure didn't. The glasses were a little more square. Hipster-ish, I guess. Oops? Ashbringer was executed! They were a Free Kingdomer! Matrim's Dice was killed! They were a Free Kingdomer! Vote Count: Ashbringer (4) - Matrim's Dice, Fifth Scholar, Conquestor, Devotary of Spontaneity Droughtbringer (1) - A Joe in the Bush Luckspren (1) - Kasimir Player List This cycle ends Sunday, June 24 at 4 p.m. PDT.
  7. This is your thirty-minute warning! Votes and actions submitted after the thread locks will be ignored. Though, good luck getting a vote in after the thread locks...
  8. About 11 hours to get votes and actions in! Also, as a side note, I may or may not be awake at rollover. Probably will be around, but I'm in desperate need of sleep. The cycle will lock automatically at 4 p.m. PDT just in case.
  9. All three will appear as "attacked but survived"
  10. Hey everyone! I have a quick announcement to make. The OoA was a bit out of order due to changes that were made to the rules but not the OoA. Note that the Disguiser's Lens action happens simultaneously with the Windstormer's Lens action. It has been changed in the master rule doc.
  11. MR59 Cycle One: The Lens Crafter's Fire Okay. So maybe the Evil Librarians didn't actually show up as Bastille was berating me about things I, for once, didn't break. But the statement still stands. The thing Grandpa Smedry was looking at was clearly the Librarian's doing. The Lens Crafters (no, not the ones you're familiar with that supposedly make cheap prescription lenses. The librarians stole our name in case it ever leaked to the Hushlanders) was on fire. The whole complex where they crafted new lenses for oculators was up in flames. It looked cool, but it was bad. Really, really bad. Without the Lens Crafters, we wouldn't have replacements for any lenses. Like the warrior's lenses that Bastille had dropped as she rushed off to help with the fire situation. This didn't bode well. Welcome to Cycle One of MR59! Please let me know if you haven't received your PM. As a reminder, here are the rules. General Rules: MR: 48 hour cycles (day/night combined) One-on-one PMs are open, and do not count as an action Only one vote is required for an exe Tied exes will be decided by RNG Each player has one action per cycle There are no hidden mechanics, rules, or roles, though not every lens will be in play Inactivity filter: If a player does not post for 2 consecutive cycles, they will be replaced by a pinch-hitter. If no pinch-hitters are available, they will be killed and their lenses will be dropped. Player List: This turn will end Friday, June 22 at 4 p.m. PDT.
  12. Sign-ups are closed! PMs will be sent shortly, and Cycle One will be posted shortly after.
  13. Yes, it will be closed, as they no longer have a secretive mode of communication. They may open one again, but it will be subject to the Translator's lense. (They can use the same PM for this, but I will mark it as closed. Anything after that mark will be a standard PM). Same as above for the PM. Player B's lense will be non-functional. The entire PM from that cycle. Speaking of which, if you are in PMs, kindly mark the beginning of each cycle. I will try to do this, but it partly depends on the number of PMs people use.
  14. "Smedry! Would you get your talent under control? Stop breaking my lenses!" Bastille waved a shattered pair of warriors lenses in my face. I, Alcatraz Smedry, could only stare open-mouthed back. It wasn't that I had my talent under control or anything. No, things still fall apart around me. Literally. And not in the hyperbolic literal way that some people imply when they say literally. I mean literally literally. I'm good at breaking things. But this wasn't me. When I break things, they break in strange ways. Not like Sing Sing had stepped on them "This is the tenth pair of lenses we've had to replace since you got here," Bastille continued, her rant only becoming more furious with every word. "Bastile," Grandpa Smedry cut in. She didn't stop. She just kept talking. Well, shouting at me. But I stopped listening. How could I keep listening when I noticed what Grandpa was looking at. The librarians were here. Welcome to Mid-Range Game 59: Alcatraqz vs the Lens Destructors! This is a re-run of QF42, but simplified. This will be lens(role) madness. Find the rule doc here. I am the GM, and @Araris Valerian will be Arelis Smedry (also known as the IM). But also here: Sign-ups will close Wednesday, July 20 at 4 p.m. PDT. Rule Clarifications Player List Quick Links
  15. I'll be posting my game tomorrow unless @Illwei would like to take the MR slot
  16. May the Gods of Luck and Chance decide our fates. Hopefully I have sacrificed the correct number of animal cookies.
  17. Ah. Just a phrasing confusion then. I read it as you believed Mat so you wanted to save Sart. Makes sense now.
  18. Hm. I'm not entirely sure what to think of that claim. On the one hand, it would be useful, but basically only to Sart's faction. And this does not exclude Sart from being an Infiltrator. How does Mat's claim have any bearing on saving Sart? Can we please stop with the public roleclaiming? That's a lot of information to be tossing about and handing over to enemy factions.
  19. Why Xino, though? I get why not Mat (interesting claim, though I'd like some verification eventually), but why Xino? Stick has no votes, since Mat moved to Xino. How about Ashbringer
