  1. One final congratulations go to the Yiga for their victory! It's time to close down this thread. Thanks to Striker and Biplet for running this Zelda game. It was a blast to monitor, and I'm sure even more so to play. A very big congratulations goes to Alvron, who had yet another fantastic game as a vigilante role and nearly killed the entire elim team alone. Wonderful game everyone! Thanks for participating. As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread. Not only will we get you added to the list, but we'd also be more than willing to help out in any way we can. You can also ask questions and get some hints and feedback from everyone in our Art of Game Creation thread. With all the games that we've run so far, we have plenty of experienced GMs that can help you refine any game you're thinking about. If you would rather keep some detail secret, or are self-conscious about posting in thread (there's really no need to be; while we do slaughter each other, we are very polite about it), then I'm sure one of our fantastic committee members (Amanuensis, STINK, Sart, Fifth Scholar, Straw, Haelbarde, and Young Bard) would be more than willing to help you out in private. Thanks again to everyone that played, and we look forward to killing seeing you in future games!
  2. It's past time to close this game. Thanks to everyone who played and participated! A big thanks to Kasimir for running the show and dealing with shenanigans and paranoia. Congratulations to the Workers who were able to keep their Tineye hidden and the Loyalists out of the council. Hopefully we can see another reverse-mafia game again soon! 3. Devo. Despite disagreeing with some of the leaps in logic Archer has made, I don't distrust them. Hopefully that isn't a fatal error. I suspect both Devo and Elkanah at this point because elims would want a successful exe in order to get to a true lylo.
  4. Because I felt you were too quick to clear people based on activity levels when the player count creates odd situations. Especially in a game with a low player count, I'd hope elims would allow the talkative people to stay alive a little longer. It keeps from killing the thread in a day. Active elims would also want to keep other actives alive as a way to hide better. But at this point Archer. Lotus. Less than 12 hours before rollover. We don't really have the ability to not have everyone vote/offer opinion because we are very near lylo always.
  5. So if we look at the numbers, we probably have two elims. That's on the high end of the 20-25% guesstimate. I doubt we'd have a 3-person team because we'd be at lylo now. If we do have 3, then I expect village probably has more than one Lancer role. Still, I'm inclined to believe there are just two elims. Elkanah why a tie in such a small game? ( @Elkanah ) Actually, nevermind. Elkanah Archer What exactly did either of you do that makes you confident that you're both "obvious villagers"? I don't disagree the TUO kill was odd, but it could simply be an elim team who favors low-info kills, but doesn't want overlap with the filter. Why waste a good kill when time can do it for you? @Matrim's DiceDiceDiceDiceDiceDiceDiceDDiceDiceDiceDiceDiceDiceDice..... I give up. Mobile is weird. Anyway, is it possible the rules for the elim kill changed because of low player count?
  6. Bad Wolf careened onto the flight deck. "I'm here. I'm here." She was breathless after her dash all the way from her quarters. Not that it was terribly far, but she was a pilot, not part of the ground troops. "Sorry. I got caught up in a few projects. Didn't hear the alert. Scud. Am I too late?" One of the crew members waved her toward her Poco. "Bad Wolf. Your flight is waiting!" ---- Seriously, though, sorry it took me so long to check in. I started a 24 hour writing marathon last night, then had a video to edit. My eyes are tired of looking at screens, since I've started at one for upwards of 20 hours in the last 36. I'm just gonna claim now (sorry Matrim, but your RNG has continued my curse and I don't feel like going through what I've been through in the past). I'm a light-lance expert, aka The Thug. If you really want to exe me, that's fine, but it'll be a waste of a good D1 exe. I'd suggest you be certain of my wolfiness before wasting an exe and an extra village life. Especially in such a small game. @Archer, I'm glad you appreciate the reference. However, your wagon vote with TUO seems a bit odd. Archer
  7. I think at this point, you're good to take the spot.
  8. That's quite possible. Want me to remove that slot?
  9. We need to get the LG going. I'll extend the tagging list since the first few have not responded yet. 1. @Fifth Scholar 2. @Sart 3. @Ventyl 4. @Straw 5. @Ashbringer 6. @|TJ| 7. Ashbringer 8. @Mailliw73 9. @little wilson / @Elbereth 10. @Mist 11. @Young Bard 12. @Kasimir (anon?) 13. @Araris Valerian 14. @StrikerEZ I know I put a lot of people down, but a good portion of the people above are largely inactive/busy.
  10. Those changes have been made.
  11. We'll miss you, Striker, but I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. It was great having you on my team.
  12. I had a blast this game, despite my frustrations with rules and meta. I always did love being evil. It may be pretty low, but it shouldn't be impossible. That's what this game felt like. Impossible once the first domino fell. In the end, it was either never kill again and be caught anyways because numbers, or be proven by mechanics. Having played a game in the past as a final solo elim who only lost from a coin flip, I can tell you it's way more fun when mechanics can't/aren't used to clear people. Thank you! I really tried to put on my villager hat for the game. A little too much at one point... By the way, I'd taken on Stormform D2/N2. TUO, I believe, grabbed the mediationform gem and passed it to me. Thanks for that, by the way. It proved invaluable for my defenses. To my team, this was fun! Sorry I kinda had to bus all of you and have it be useless in the end. Regarding me thinking Mouse was mediationform: You made a mistake. As soon as one of you said in that PM that you weren't telling me for a reason, I started doubting my assumption and then guessed it was probably Vulture. Either way, it worked out. I wasn't planning to kill the mediationform soon as a way to hopefully give a little reason as to why I was alive. Now for my personal thoughts on the rules. The elim gems weren't worth using. With the reliance on mechanically proving this game, it was too dangerous. The roleblock didn't actually stop any actions worth stopping (enough people were in forms before D2 that it couldn't stop the use of things like warform). Stopping PMs from being created could have been helpful, but that also puts more burden on the GM to create PMs. Decayform wasn't really usable because, again, it didn't stop people from taking forms. It would only help in a case like Weasel, who hoarded gems. And smokeform might have been useful, but not worth the chance of being caught because of other mechanics. Having PMs be a true action (submitted to and created by the GM at rollover) could have also helped the endgame. Dangerous though it may be, it would have given a chance to lie and say it failed because the target died. Suspicious, but not outright damning. I also agree with tying it to artform in some way.
  13. A few at least. Last chance before schools start, I think.
  14. No worries. It's the life of an elim, really. Plus it was good I left early. I forgot I was going camping in middle of the game. This was a fun game. Good game elims. You did a pretty good job surviving. Just couldn't trick that coin of Kas'. Thanks Lotus and Illwei! It was fun to see the card mechanics in play.
  15. With the QF likely wrapping up soon, let's start getting the next QF together. Current list: 1. @Fifth Scholar 2. @Young Bard (spot 2 is anonymous, but also has spot 5) 3. @Sart (no pass) 4. @Straw 5. @Matrim's Dice
  16. Now, don't you go putting words in my mouth. I never said the game was boring. I said guard duty is boring. All you do is sit and stare at nothing. This card game livens things up a little. I just have a problem staying focused, is all. Distracted by things. Even my own mind. Especially when there's a lot of people talking. It's good though. Talk is good. If only I had a way to hear what was said before... Maybe the fabrial people should work on that. Audible recordings. As for why TUO is my target, something's fishy there. I think it started with their first vote switch. A bit jumpy, that one.
  17. Not even close, buddy. Now what did I do? Did I forget my spear again? Or is it sword? Anyways, TUO.
  18. I really, really do. Not Voting isn't even voting. That alone is weird, right? Little lost though. I'm disappointed my calling can't be good at cards. Guard duty just isn't exciting. Or maybe I'm too easily distracted to be good at it.
  19. What a day to be on guard duty. What was the point, anyways? All we do is play cards. Not that I'm complaining. It's better than actual work, I guess. But one day I'll need to do something to advance my Calling. Maybe being good at cards can be my calling...
  20. Congratulations for another village victory. The Heritage Faction did a great job sussing out the Forgers. This was a fun, mostly straightforward game by Experience. Despite some of the trouble he had along the way, it was still a fun game. Thanks to everyone who participated! As always, if anyone would like to try their hand at running a game, please get ahold of Wilson, Devotary of Spontaneity, Elbereth, Araris Valerian, or myself, or post in the GM Signups & Discussion Thread.
