  1. Back when I read Oathbringer I saw a parallel between the use of copper on the ship and the feruchemical use of copper. Transferring of cognitive information, it's one of the things that make me believe Scadrial will eventually have a Coppermind internet.
  2. I have also considered the same
  3. I would find Cadmium very useful. The amount of times I've just had to sit and wait...
  4. I think it would be fun to go down the list of metals and decide which ones you would rather have the Allomantic or Feruchemical power for. When deciding, choose as if you had the choice to be a Misting or Ferring of that metal. Mine are: Tin-F Pewter-A Iron-F Steel-A (this was a hard choice but I think I would enjoy the Steelpushing a hair more than the speed) Zinc-F Brass-F Copper-F Bronze-F Aluminum-F Duralumin-F Chromium-F Nicrosil-A Gold-F Electrum-F Cadmium-A Bendalloy-tie (I would be very happy with either and I could not decide which I would prefer) To no surprise I would prefer to be a Feruchemist over Allomancer.
  5. Based on all the things about Fortune we know about and I'm taking from Kelsier's experience and Preservation's comments. The human mind can have difficulty understanding Fortune leaving them with a sense of what they need to do but not why. That to me seems pretty easy to mistake for luck.
  6. Based on WoB it seems to be specific things, seemingly ones tied to your Spiritweb rather than "kinetic Investiture". However, Wax's statement in BoM imply the latter so it's still up in the air. It depends, if it only stores abilities or specific Investiture types, like Allomantic ability, Breaths, etc then it probably wouldn't. But if it can store raw Investiture then it should be able to
  7. That's potentially not true. Brandon has said that it is theoretically possible to use Lerasium to rewrite your Spiritweb to gain other magic systems.
  8. Most likely sometime after Taravangian was given his boon and curse
  9. I think too many people here are assuming it's a simple task for the lattices to be turned off and on. Each lattice is described as a series of gems. It's probably much simpler and quicker to use aluminum than going through the process of shutting off and turning on the lattices. Keep in mind this is still very early development of this technology, it's probably safer to use the aluminum than turning them off and risking that they won't reconnect. Additionally, for those concerned about the curvature of the planet, that is fairly simple and I think people are over thinking things. The ship is still influenced by gravity, all the fabrial is doing is keeping the ship suspended a height relative to the distance that the lattice has moved.
  10. I also suspect he has two Perpendicularities. Primarily for the reason you listed about Ettmetal. It's fairly likely that there is one up north because of Hoid and Khriss both still being fairly active in the north because otherwise all the world hoppers in the Basin would always be trekking north to get there
  11. Most likely Harmony's Perpndicularity. Kel probably found it in the Cognitive and let Spook know where it was.
  12. Marsh has the Atium that KanPaar was trying to sell. It was never specified how much that was
  13. You can Soulcast something into Aluminum but you can't Soulcast Aluminum into something else (barring a whole lot of power). Or were you wondering if something could be Forged into Aluminum?
  14. Or alternatively Sazed is using Taravangian through Mrall
  15. An important thing to remember is that Kandra are masters of intel gathering and replacement. It's entirely possible the switch happened after The Diagram formed. He could have taken advantage of the dumb days to fill in missing information.
  16. I also imagine that every transition from the Cognitive to Physical Realms causes just a little bit of the strain that Spren have when they transition over without a proper Bond
  17. I'd imagine a Bronze Savant would become so used to their sense of Investiture that not burning it would be as drastic as losing sight or hearing or some other sense
  18. But she probably would never be able to get past the raw Investiture he has. Investiture resists Investiture and Susebron and Nightblood are probably the only non Shards with more raw Investiture than him. And then on top of that, if there's ever been a Mistborn who's managed to master Aluminum's ability to purify unwanted Investiture it would be him.
  19. Burning Aluminum doesn't seem to affect innate Investiture so I would guess that it doesn't affect Investiture tied to the Spiritweb. If so then it probably wouldn't damage the Nahel Bond, but that would be a good question to ask Brandon.
  20. Building off of what @Honorless said. Think of the Cosmere as having an additional level to its physics, one where concepts have an actual valid influence. Those underlying physics likely are the source for why metals and colours play important parts in multiple magic systems. My guess as to why metals have effects on Investiture is due to the same rules that cause solid Investiture to take a metallic form. There must be some kind of interplay.
  21. Metal isn't Invested. Allomantic metals molecular structure just acts as a key to shape the Investiture coming through. Though also doubt that ones for fabrics need to be exact to work, but I bet the closer to being the exact structure the better they work
  22. TLR biggest advantage is his speed. He can move well past the speed of sound. Because of that and what is presumably comparable strength I believe he could quite literally tear apart anyone else before they even knew what was happening
  23. Draw Also a draw Vasher maybe. Zahel seems retired Which is more crazy? Bleeder Vin Azure Draw?
  24. Give your Breath to a Nicrosil Compounder. Infinite Breath
  25. I have an alternate theory that involves Duralumin instead of Nicrosil. The strength of Allomancy is heavily dependent on Connection to the Shard Preservation. As BoM showed, Duralumin is very flexible with what type of Connection it can stre (blank Connection anyone?). So I posit that by storing and then Compounding Connection to Preservation, Allomancy would gain a huge boost in power. And unlike the Nicrosil theory, Duralumin is a metal we know 100% TLR had access to
