  1. That's ok, we're a group of obsessive nerds so it happens
  2. Congrats on your first theory post. The duplicate memories is also a popular theory, and I like the way that you succinctly put together how that would be useful. I personally agree with it myself.
  3. I'd almost certainly go with gold
  4. He promised that Ruin could destroy Scadrial. The oathbreaking wasn't really what killed him though, he ripped his mind apart to create Ruin's prison
  5. The types of Spikes are listed in the book, 4 steel and 4 bronze, that lines up with the basic 8. As far as why they would bother with Copper, it would allow them to sneak up on a group of Allomancers who might have a Seeker to prevent them from running
  6. Where do you get this? It isn't stated in any of the books and I don't know any WoB that say this. It's stated that they have a Spike for each of the basic 8, and 1 for Feruchemical Gold making up 9 in listed in the third book. Later supplements up that average to 11 to account for Atium and the Lynchpin Spike
  7. Can buy a pound of it for about 10-15 dollars
  8. This. Atium only shows a moment into the future and in fact that would be hard to make use of without the secondary part of Atium (and technically all metals) that expands the mind in order to accommodate that information. But it is still only a slight moment into the future. So if a sudden split happens to their Atium shadows when the Atium user knows (in Zane's case) or "knows" (in Shan's) that the opponent can't see into the future it's going to take them by surprise.
  9. I second the desire to be a Feruchemist over Allomancer, but for Misting I would choose pewter because of how useful it would be
  10. @Weltall It really makes you wonder just how powerful Rock really is
  11. This can be explained via the adrenaline like effect that Stormlight also gives the person has. When you heal instantly from it, you aren't going to feel the strain from weight as much as well. They don't need to breath because they heal instantly and Stormlight produces the energy the body needs
  12. Technically anyone who can burn Iron/Steel can do that with enough practice. They were also Kelsier's two metals he was best at
  13. Nicrosil Feruchemy is weird and our knowledge about it is clearly lacking. On one hand we have references and WoB that it stores the ability to use magic in discreet units. On the other we have Wax's reference in BoM that it was a resource that got used up and could simply be increased via Compounding
  14. I picture him as a constantly shifting translucent fractal. His also imagine his buzzing like a cat purring
  15. Burning metals is more efficient than using Stormlight. Pewter was able to last several minutes while flaired and it is the fastest burning of the basic eight. Static Plate is nearly impossible to move in, stabbing through the eye slits would be easy
  16. Radiant will likely run out of Stormlight before the Mistborn runs out of metals Unless they are facing a Skybreaker or Windrunner, it wouldn't be that difficult using Pushes and Pulls. Those are the only two Orders that really can invalidate that strategy. Edit: They are the only two Orders with mobility that can match a Mistborn as they are the only ones that allow three dimensional movement. Unless a Lightweaver Or Elsecaller is willing to burn the Stormlight necessary to create steps in the sky.
  17. Maintaining Plate most likely does require Stormlight though. And what you are suggesting would be an easily exploitable pattern. Also a fast moving small coin would not be easy for a Radiant to see or track, so they could very well could be hit before they knew what was even happening. In fact Radiants so far have only done prolong fights when there has been an abundance of Stormlight available. The castle lights for Szeth, the gems in Parshendi beards at the end of WoK, The Battle of Thaylen Field for everyone. Most scenes where they address how much Stormlight is available have them use it up in a matter of minutes
  18. You really don't see the flaw in your argument? If it's off then they have it sucked up which drains quickly just by being in their system. It also leaves them vulnerable to being struck with coins. Summoning their Shardplate will drain their resources even quicker.
  19. Unlike Shardblades, Plate uses up Stormlight and a lot of it. We have no reason to believe that living Shardplate doesn't also have a huge drain
  20. It would take like an hour tops. When they've sucked up Stormlight they lose it at a very fast rate.
  21. Until the Radiant runs out of Stormlight, making either lose their Plate or worse making it a huge hindrance that they can't move. Not to mention the loss of healing
  22. But at no point would they stop leaking it even with all 5 oaths. That's one of the advantages Fuzed have over Radiants. It's explicitly mentioned that the more Stormlight held the faster it leaks, of all magic users Radiants have the most inefficient storage of Investiture. Keep away would be a valid tactic for a Mistborn
  23. @Bigmikey357 a fair and concise point. The one thing I would like to point out is your comment on most Mistborn won't be like Vin. A completely valid thing. But keep in mind, most Radiants won't be like Kaladin or Szeth either. Remember, Shan wasn't a pushover, Vin had to surprise and trick her in order to win that fight and it wasn't just because Shan had more Atium. Vin herself thinks that Shan was the superior fighter when they were fighting. Now this was well before Vin had peaked but she was able survive an encounter with multiple Inquisitors and even give Kelsier a run for his money during training by that point
  24. It's exactly what you were talking about And if that piece is the head? The helm was sucking up his Stormlight, which is what Plate does. The closest you could say is that it made it more durable and event that is suspect considering Kaladin's very limited experience with Plate. Again, only a Windrunner or Skybreaker would even be able to reach the Mistborn Because no ever uses hyperbole Which have caused them how many problems. Oh yeah, very little. Renarin basically single highhandedly defeated a Thunderclast and that is because he can tank anything with F-Gold like healing. Thunderclasts are especially vulnerable to Shardblades. All the Fused we've seen pale compared to a Radiant. The Unmade have so far shown themselves to be more effective against masses of regular people and not very effective against Radiants. And a Radiant wouldn't know what to expect from a Mistborn. They knew Szeth had powers but didn't actually know much of what he could do Doesn't mean they can teleport spam in a fight, and Jasnah hasn't really used it in a fight. True, if they get lucky enough to catch the Mistborn in surprise like that. No it doesn't. I've been making the point that the book doesn't support your statement.
  25. If Radiants were truly as powerful as some of you believe, there is nothing that Odium has sent them that we've seen that would be able to defeat an army of them.
