The Fused show up during the end of WoR. I assumed that they spawned in the Everstorm . but after I think about it and how we saw it done in Oathbringer . The Listeners stood out in the storm and opened themselves up to it. This got me to Wondering did they cone in Everstorm, or were a few of them already been around a few months. Most if not all of the Listeners were in stormform and were actively. Singing to summon the storm. the stormfather told Dalinar the Everstorm was new: “THE EVERSTORM. So how did the Fused in previous desolation summon the spren to respawn a. Fused? Was a Unmade Responsible? Did the singers have a ritual perhaps? What did Stormfather mean exactly by old design. After hearing about worldhoppers from the 17th shard chasing Hoid I went back to WoK and reread the interlude. Possible arcana unbound spoiers The Firsherman that met up with the foreigners spoke of some interesting kinds of fish. Some fish could send you visions. He even told the seekers that he couldn’t find Hoid , but perhaps he could find a fish that could locate him. I think he was serious . I think something is Resonating Old magic into the Purelake. I’m not sure if there is a perpindicularity nearby or something else. I wonde what all sort of magic effects can happen from eating the fish there? Anybody have any sources : WoB , or speculation about this subject

Amaram in my book. Was not that bad. He was the epitome of an Alethi commander. They are all shrewd , political and ambitious . What Sadeas did to Dalinar was considerd acceptable way to deal with a rival by Alethi standards. One thing I liked about Amaram was he told Dalinar the truth . Dalinar was a hypocrit. Don’t get me wrong I love Dalinar, it’s just due to his curse/boon situation he forgot how many hundreds he slaughtered to get his shards . What Amaranm did was no different than what many lighteyes have done to gain shards. And finally let’s not forget Anaram and Gavilar ( Jasnah father) were thick as thieves . They were both Sons of honor. And Gavilar knew all about Amaram and still considered him a match for his daughter. Had Dalinar not embarrassed and punished Amaram for his actions with Kaladin I doubt Amaram would have joined Odium. He expected Dalinar to take his side . He said honestly that he modled his career after Dalinar actions. Some might say he was oh so wrong. Look at what Dalinar did on the rift . He shot down people waving a white flag . Who were trying to tell him his wife was in the building he was burning down . So don’t judge him until you consider that Dalinar was his idol and he has seen Dalinar do worse!

I saw something earlier on another thread. It contained a WoB from Brandon saying the first 5 books is one story . And the back 5 books is another plotline. Only special characters will be in both. Lift was a confirmed character for both. So this kind of changed my whole viewpoint of the series. I think the back 5 books will be shorter as well . He predicts 18 months between books. Kind of reminds me of the same set up that Mistborn had. I also fear a lot of our favorite characters will die . Szeth my favorite is probably going to die. He is just too awesome to survive until era 2 stormlight . If he does I’ll be one happy camper!

Jasnah in my viewpoint is an Alpha female . She is powerful and intelligent and analytical . She has demonstrated loyalty to her family and the ability to lead. I think she should of been heir instead of Ehlokar who was childish and a brat. When he threatened to execute Kaladin and refused to help Adolin he was dismissed as deserving any respect in my book. As practical as Gavilar was I don’t know why he didn’t appoint her heir as his oldest instead of Ehlokar Who didn’t adopt any of his fathers personality in my book .

I never considered an organic fabrial before. I like the way u say they hack the system , it’s a clearer way of expressing what I was thinking . I hope he hurried up and reveals more about that chart as a race the Singers are the most intriguing in the Cosmere . Kandra are cool , Koloss are not interesting .and the Aimians are not developed yet . But these Singers are a work of art. Can’t wait for the next book

I totally agree with you here. I have never seen the charts you speak of but from your description that sounds feasible. Ok what we saw in WoR was Eshonai take. A Regal form. This was a natural system that the Singers have used since before Odium came. What we saw in Oathbringer When Venli got her envoy form and Demmed got taken over by a Fused . One was natural perversion by Odium . The other was unnatural. As it was never intended to rip the soul of the singer out and replacing it with a cognitive shadow. the only conparasin I can make is on Scadrial where the Lord ruler use spikes to change mistwraiths into Kandira. There is no perversion . Paalm totally perverted the system and created Chimera’s . Maybe it’s not voidbinding but i think it’s something very bad. On the level of Hemalurgy bad . But you can’t call it the same thing we saw in WoR . It Horrified Venli so much she might have been what turned her to Radiant side. I’m sorry I totally misread where u was going . And that’s my fault . Renarin may not even be a truthwatcher . I feel comfortable until I see more calling him one , as he does have Regrowth . I was not aware he could not use illumination either , so perhaps because his spren is corrupted he doesn’t have it he has a voidsurge instead. For some reason Fortune reading the future is always seen as bad .

Thing is Brandon has confirmed voidbinding is a magic system on Roshar so we know it exists we are not certain what it. Is. That’s my crazy theory on the Fused and most don’t agree .?when book 4 comes out remember I said it first .Seeing the future is the province of Odium or so many vorinist believe . So that’s why everyone thinks Renarin is bad .. Venli is in a unique position . She is a Regal so she has the abilities of her Regal form , which is she can speak any language . She also has enhanced strength dexterity and light carparace armor. Because she formed a nahel bond with Timbre , she has access to surges of a willshaper. And can possibly gain a shardblade . I like it because Timbre can hide and let the lesser voidspren take control . Which changes Venli eyes red so the Fused think she is loyal . Renarin has the surges of a truthwatcher plus his spren gives him visions of the future. Does this answer your questions

I think that the universal constant is loss. The person would had to have lost something precious to them . And was made stronger because of it. So no love probably won’t create this effect unless u lost someone u loved perhaps

We are all looking for some entirely different form of magic . Earlier allomancy and ferachemy was brought up . Those systems while different do share a lot . All the metals have a ferachemical use and allomantic use for example. To clarify what I’m saying is easy . I have done my homework on this . I could be wrong but it does make sense . Long ago the singers had many forms . They changed forms during a high storm by use of the Stormfather and a spren . Stormfather was here before the shard of honor arrived . When Honor arrived he adopted the Stormfather . Cultivation arrived . And then when the humans from ashyn came Odium followed . At this time humans bonded together with Honor . It could of been the Stormfather abandoning the singers that caused them to forget many of their forms . Or it could be that Odium introducesd them to voidbinding that caused them to forget the old forms . Why would u want scholar form , or art form when you had access to Envoyform and Smokeform. Both of which are superior to the singers old forms. I guess I’ll explain it like this : Singer normal forms , the 5 we know of plus several they forgot .scholor form / artform etc. Regal forms granted by Odium : Envoyform , Smokeform, etc these forms it is possible to form nahel bonds but historically they haven’t Voidbinding : links a cognitive shadow into a form of power. This form of power has access to one surge . This form of power runs on Voidlight . It is capable of withstanding an awesome amount of damage and even blows from a shardblade. It completely destroys the singers spirit web sending the singer to the beyond . Right now it is done during the everstorm There had to be a way it was done in the past . The Stormfather said the everstorm was new but of old design . Perhaps to voidbind in the past u needed the unmade that was trapped by the Bondsmith or singers had a ritual where they sang a song and summoned the power to bind a Fused into one of There number who sacrificed themselves. What I think everyone is missing is just Like with Hemalurgy their is an incredible cost . The Singer that body is used for Voidbinding is forever killed. Sent to the beyond . That kind of cost stinks to me if it’s own magic system . One rule that’s universal in fantasy books is that powerful magic has a cost . The greater the boon the greater the cost . Everyone is dismissing the fact that a singer is obliterated to make a Fused . Having knowing that , how can u say that this is not a separate magic system . That’s it’s similar to how regals form . IF VEnli doesn’t like Envoy form she change change to warform , smokeform or any of the other forms that have been rediscovered. I was not implying Regal forms was voidbinding . If the confusing way I said things gave you that impression my apologies. Voidbinding I propose is the process the Fused use to assume the 9 forms of power that they currently display . I’m not saying there is not a 10th form , there may we’ll be but for now all we see is 9. Regal can use the high storm and stormlight so this is not voidbinding more of the natural racial abilities. The difference is Regal abilities enhance their bodies in some ways but without a spren Regals have no access to surges. Regal can however form Nahel bonds. Voidbinders have no Nahel bonds yet can use surges but so far are limited to one surge . The power level between Regals and Fused seems to be almost doubled. Fused can survive hits from a shardblade for example and seem to have a constant connection to Odium which slowly feeds them Voidlight and allows them to heal over time . Im greatly interested in whether or not Fused will start to develop nahel bonds with voidspren Like Ulim. For now they scavenge dead shardplate and blades . I think they don’t feel it necessary to try because if they are killed they can be reborn the next everstorm . However if Dalinar , Venli , and Rlain can start convincing Singers to leave the Fused cause then this may change . If Spren Like Syl can learn to copy honorblades , I don’t see why Ulim and his lot can’t do the same. I still believe that normal singers cannot access stormlight . Only Regals that is why the Fused need Moash to wield the honorblades . Fused cannot use stormlight as they Voidbind . And they don’t want Regals using stormlight as this may encourage them to form Nahel bonds. So they co-opted Moash

Are saying is this : Voidbinding is not surges that the Fused use , Voidbinding is the process that the singers use to assume the 9 forms of power! The singer takes in a voidspren and binds it to its gemheart becoming one of the nine types of Fused. This process can only be done during the everstorm , using Voidlight . This does not stop the Singers from using a highstorm to become a regal by using spren and the Stormfather . Like Eshonai did in WoR. She used an anger spren and Stormfather to become storm form . I have been actually working on this a while so I kind of get what u saying . Or I hope we on same page. There are other forms of power that we have not seen yet . They are not of Odium , I predict it was from the time before Odium came Eshonai says as much in WoR . Her exact words were “ most forms of power come from Odium “ most is not all . So to summarize Voidbinding could be the process a Fused. Takes to assume one of the 9 forms of power. It binds the Fused cognitive shadow and a voidspren into a singers body and that body assumes one of the 9 types Moash has seen. The surges the Fused use are actually surgebinding , they only seem to get one.

Lopen acts positive all the time . That could be a front . Inside he could really be depressed but hides it with jokes and super positive attitude . I have heard before that Lopen is written as the exact opposite of Galladon from Elantris . Galladon always said “ sule” , Lopen says Gancho. Galladon always cautions Raodon something bad will happen , Lopen always See’s Something good will happen . Etc. anyways by him loosing his arm , becoming a Slave and never letting it stop him from believing he was open to a spren that just as crazy as he is. I love Rua, out of all the spren his personality is so amazing to me and I would love to see more of him and future books

Although I don’t remember it ever being said in book . But what is the Penalty if a lighteyes gets so annoyed by the King’s With he pulls his blade and just kills him . When considering this point please don’t think I’m referring to Hoid. He is not the first King’s Wit and I’m sure he won’t be the last . But Wit is extremely offensive and annoying as hell. There must be some penalty if you kill him . Like loosing land , title , perhaps drop down a don level or two . Otherwise im sure Sadeas , Amaram and especially Jasnah would of tried to kill him a long time ago . Hoid is so bad he talked about Navani chull . It was so annoying I even wanted to stab him. I think the Wit is there to ridicule the lighteyes since normal Darkeyes can’t do anything to them . Kind of a way to keep them humble ! Anybody else agree there must be and understood penalty!

Crazy thing is in Theylana Shallan has an image of Radiant fighting in Amber shardplate ! I wondered if Shallan is far enough that she has plate and is just forgetting about it again ! And Radiant image is kind of snitching on the cool . Another possibility is Radiant Plate is different with each order . It might be why Bondsmith don’t have shards there is no lesser spren for them to form it . If radiant plate is formed by lesser spren then wind spren Raduaht plate and the ink spren lesser plate might work differently .

In There meeting Teravangion warns Odium he must not meet with Dalinar again , or Dalinar would be able to force a battle of champions . In his infinite wisdom when he was hyper smart Me T saw a contingency where no matter what Dalinar wins ! So I want you guys to tell me what that contingency in your mind is ? For example “ There is no way Dalinar looses a contest of champions if :” and tell me your theory . I’ll go first : There is no way Dalinar looses if he orders Szeth to loan him Nightblood . Dalinar then slams his fist together opening Honor perpindicularity and throws a bunch of gems on the ground . He then draws Nightblood and tells whoever Odiums champion is “ go ahead , make my day ! “

I was under the impression the gap between books was 7 to 10 years . 30 years seem to be a long Time Lift would be 10(43) Shallan would be 47 and Kaladin 49. Dalinar would either be dead or since he is already a confirmed sliver , fully ascend and become Unity. That’s too much of a gap to be effective in my opinion. I do agree with you that the major conflict with Odium may wrap up by book 5 .but as far as Good vs Evil I highly doubt that. Teravangion is the perfect example . At the end of book one i thought he was the most evil person in the series. It’s only after Oathbringer do we see he is not evil at all . Extremely pragmatic yes , ruthless yes , but he really want to save as many people as possible

For Clarity sake can we refer to living plate as Radiant plate and ancient plate as Shard plate . It’s hard to follow your arguement when I’m not sure which version you are referring to . I never realized it until now but I to have a problem with Radiant plate being lesser spren. Ok let’s say Kaladin advances to the point where he Aquires Radiant plate . He then gets pissed at Dalinar and decides to kill him breaking his oathes. Syl turns into a no eyed creature like maya ! How do the wind spren become shard plate ? The only way this could happen is if specific wind spren come and create Kaladin radiant plate. They would have to be trapped similar to how Navani traps fabrials. If a part breaks then another spren would have to be coopted to repair the portion of Radiaht plate. When Kaladin disavows Syl she becomes a blade and the portion of her that was trapping the windspren would kill the lesser wind in a Like manner creating shardplate. Now if Radiant plate was just stormlight , how does it become shardplate When Kaladin Disavows Syl. I’m lost on that part ? Clarifications please.

So if pattern can’t turn Invisible how could Shallan see the two cryptics and Jasnah and Taravangion couldn’t ? Are the two Crytics still in the cognitive Realm and looking at Teravangion and Shallan ball of light . That’s weird?!?
