So I’m wondering is thier a way other than Hemalurgy to be become a Ferachemist . If you think about thier must be . Basis : Ferachemist is the result of Ruin and Preservation being on Scadrial and infusing together . Before the Final empire , Rashek changed all other Ferachemist other than himself into Mistwraiths . He began a breeding Program to ween out Ferachemy yet the powers still returned .Thier is active way to become a mistborn or Hemalurgist . The former take a bead of Lerasium ; The latter just go spike someone . So why isn’t thier a physical way to cause Ferachemy . I think there is and has yet to be discovered ! Harmonry is now both Preservation and Ruin . His metal causes things to explode . I think this is because it’s Too much power infusing the Metal . So be the Origins of Ferachemy Full ferachemist should return on thier own . And Harmony Metal should make you into a mistborn and ferachemist . So why does it explode in water ? I think it’s to much power . Maybe if you took and Flake or tiny amount of the Metal and consumed it you would become a fullborn. All the mistborn powers from Preservation . And all the Ferachemical powers both Shards being present in Harmony . Or Maybe you have to spike yourself with his Metal to get it done Maybe the Mistwraiths are the key . It just Doesn’t make sense all the Precursors are thier for Ferachemy to return in full force . Somebody tell me why you think this is??? Thier is no wrong answer as none of us know why . Well I can’t wait to see one in action . Nale is scary as hell with the surges he commands and his demeanor ( not caring about anything ) I would really would hate to see what he would do on a battlefield . Assuming he would doing damage to the Radiant forces it will be a bunch of killing going on. Hopefully division is touch only and can’t be used at range . I read edgedancer today , and you are right ! Nale didn’t draw in stormlight he just started glowing . If there link to stormlight is still in place then oh boy . I also agree about Vyre , he is not as is a match for Szeth . I think they will use him as a counter to Kaladin . Kaladin breaks down everytime he has to fight someone he really doesn’t want too.

You could be right . I’m assuming it was thier link to Honor that gave them access to stormlight in plentitude . Honor is dead now . So now unless Dalinar can supercharge them or possibly link with them since he in my opinion can do that thru his bond with honor’s splinter. They are now easier to kill . Although they may still be able to be reborn . So now I doubt the Fused will have too much of a problem dealing with them.

When Stormfather told Dalinar about the Honorblades , he said “ with it you became a Windrunner Un-oathed , and more ...” I always wondered what he meant by that . Are thier more powers it grants that we haven’t seen ? Then I thought of the creatures the Heralds fought during desolations , Thunderclast , midnight essences , etc . I further thought of how the spren copied what they saw the Heralds doing. So I wonder can the Heralds when they have thier Honorblades produce plate . Without it they could be taken out fairly easily by 3 or 4 Fused attacking in concert . If they have a Thinderclast or unmade in the vicinity it would be even easier to kill one . If they had plate however , they couldn’t be laShed and wouldn’t be susceptible to any of the influence of the unmade surges . With thier experience it would give pause to even 10 Fused to attack one. When Honor was alive he supplied them with stormlight so they would really be scary to Fused having that much power at thier fingertips. What do you think ? Plate or no plate?

On my first read of mistborn I didn’t like many of the characters . Do not get me wrong I loved both series but the characters didn’t interest me first . Chief amongst all these was Spook . I thought him useless , and had no idea of his potential . I read the whole series and started on era 2 before I snapped to who Spook was inspired by or similar too . This only happened after a drawing I saw Spook with his blindfold on and two dueling canes . I stood up in my seat and was like Omg “ Spook is Daredevil .!!! So I was shocked I missed that . He became so much more interesting to me . Not because I liked daredevil. But because I now realized what Spook could do being a tin-eye Savant who flared his metals constantly ! Now he was interesting . So I reread and I starting seeing other similarities all throughtout mistborn . Raynett was “q” from James Bond . Wax reminded me so much oh Jim west . I don’t know why but I always picture Kelsier as “ Magneto” Hoid as “doc who” . Mr suit “ professor Moriate” Sherlock Holmes . I’m going to stop at calling Wayne “Deadpool “ Wayne is my favorite character in both books and he hates guns Does anybody else see any characters in the Cosmere that you said remind you of someone else very strongly ?

I think the biggest clue that plate is lesser spren is the fact that is there in the first place . So when the knights broke thier oaths it killed the spren of the knight . A shardblade is formed . When that spren died , all lesser spren attached to it died as well . We don’t hear screams because lesser spren are mindless. The fact that the plate is there shows thier were lesser spren attached to it My theory is the spren is an organic fabrial . It captured the lesser spren and used them to form plate. When the spren the lesser spren died as well . It’s not different spren attracted each time the plate is formed but a specific clutch of spren that the main higher used each time the knight wanted to form his or her plate. The Higher spren cannot form the plate until it’s nahel bond is strong enough with the respective Radiant . I imagine this. Varies between different orders . Windrunners don’t get it until 4th . While Lightweavers could possibly get it much earlier . I think Shallan has her plate and just doesn’t remember or realizes she has it . That plate that Radiant was wearing during the battle probably was real , Shallan couldn’t have formed it unless she had seen it previously and just blocked it out. @Calderis you spent a lot of time thinking about this , could that possibly work? Spren copies what they saw the Heralds doing ; could they copied what they saw the humans doing too , which is making fabrials . And found a way to be an organic fabrial ?

When I first thought of this I assumed Kelsier spiked hisself up to fullborn status as well . With more than one spike Harmony could see him and take control if he wanted to . I didn’t think this was a deterrent because Harmony wouldn’t take control of Kelsier unless he was acting like Paalm and being a threat . So I said why not . Then another idea struck me . Vin was researching a way to control Kollos because they had to many spikes . So it’s concievable another Shard could possibly do the same . Plus all Kelsier had to do was make two sets of the bands of Morning . Then he would only need one spike . Could have all the powers and no weakness . Kelsier would want all the powers and he wouldn’t want any weaknesses . While it’s not confirmed I’ll bet any kind of money he has metalmind that gives him all the powers he would want . The only power i doubt he would have is Atium . Since marsh is the only one known to still possess. A few balls of that metal . Electrum is still available to him though , and that is close enough .

I have never been one to be technical but I think your right . When they speak an ideal there spiritweb probably changes . The spirit realm is where the infusing properties come from iirc . So this brief contact burst thru temporarily invigorating the Radiant .

I’m glad you asked . I want to make a list for each Radiant . Stonewards will be hard. And I mean hard . Naturally we want to say stone spren . But the spren of Stone is a mega spren . So my guess would be clay spren . I would say lifespren could be used for edgedancer . Elsecallers Logic spren perhaps, Willshapers I have no idea , awe spren , I’m throw that out as craxkpot guess, based on the fact that Venli wants to impress her people . And finally Dustbringers shock spren .!? I think figuring out the sub spren for each order would be the most intriguing project for me!!!

I also think as a Radiant gets to higher ideals , his efficiency at using stormlight gets better . We see this most notably with shallan

@Calderis for windrunners we know Honorspren are the blades and I’m guessing wind spren are what makes up the plate. Do you think all orders have a sub spren unique to thier Order. Or do you think Radiant plate is made from something else . I doubt it’s all orders will use the same lower spren to form armor. Also I wonder if Dalinar can have plate ? I know Stormfather said he would be without shards . But , if it’s available to everyone , maybe Stormfather doesn’t have anything to do with the plate and won’t be opposed to it

Several times in the book the POV character has spoken an ideal in time of great peril . Usually that person was on the brink of death, stormlight almost run out and then blam they speak the ideal and are invigorated. Im suggesting when one speaks an ideal something happens that infuses the Radiant with full power of stormlight . Kaladin when he was fighting Moaah and graves . Dalinar when he was on his knees and Odium burned the way of Kong’s , even Lift when facing Darkness , she hadn’t eaten in a while the stump refused to feed her . Yet all three were powerful after the words We haven’t seen anyone speak a 4th ideal , but I imagine they will get there armor and that should take a fascinating amount of power to manifest it for the first time . What do you guys think ? Dio the words infuse them with power?

Here my last one . I was watching Star Wars new series Manderlorian . Anyways say someone was using illumination . Infused a sphere with a message . A courier takes the message to someone . When someone gets the sphere . And image pops up says the message with a 3D image of the person talking . That would be cool as hell . I think there are lot of uses that people just haven’t thought to try yet . I’m interested in what anybody else can think of !

That’s what I was getting at . I don’t have to understand the language to read the the book . Have you ever played D&D. I picture like your casting Read magic spell . He wouldn’t know the language , but he could comprehend the book as long as he was touching it .

I think that could be done , and it wouldn’t anything unusual . However it would take an understanding of anatomy and probably a linking of the surge of division with another surge that allows the Radiant using division to identify which cells are cancerous . One I could think of is transmutation . As they can see into the cognitive and perhaps identify the infected cells . What I’m talking about is similar to when Dalinar and shallan put thier Powers together and made the map . On its on the person using Division wouldn’t have any way of indetifying the infected cells . Unless division comes with that inherent knowledge like regrowth does . Then that would be awesome . So I know this a wild crackpot theory but for some reason I really think it should work . I also would like for anybody to think you could theoretically do with a surge that it’s really not intended for but theoretically should work. Ok here it goes . Progression can make plants grow . A sapling can grow into a tree . A tiny rock bud can grow into large one . So I wonder can you use it to make a young person grow into adulthood ? The plants on Roshar are animate . Grass moves and drinks water . Rock buds open up in the rain . So plants are animate life forms . How come you can make a plant . Grow , and not a person? You can heal people , ressurext people , and even grow back appendages that were lost . So I think you should be able to age a person . You might wonder why you would want to age a person . Well they are fighting a War of attrition .. in past Desolotions nine out of 10 people died . You might to age people to just to replace the fighting force . Just like you need to grow plants for food . I’m sure it sounds callous , but theoretically do you think it’s possible.

I think the reason they waited until Jezrien was dead before giving vyre the honorblades was I secretly think all Heralds are bonded to thier respective blades and can summon them back at any time . By killing him first they circumvented that potential problem . But that’s just a guess. Having it run on voidlight would be more efficient . As voidlight seems endless and stormlight is finite. But I hope that’s not what happened .

@Tglassy look we both love the books . One thing I have figured out about Brandon , his mind does not follow logic . He goes around the corner to cross the street . While both our predictions seem logical ; his mind will take a path we cannot predict . I like your idea , it has merit , it’s well thought out . As the last 6 shards are revealed you will see exactly what I mean!

Good point . While I love the idea that Brandon does this and answers so many questions . I get so much enjoyment by coming up with my theories . Being wrong never bothers me. I enjoy discussing them . It gives me something to do until the next books come out. Now they are so many of them that I doubt I will ever come up . Thx , I don’t read WoB unless they are posted. In a forum . I like to try and figure out what happens on my own then if someone has seen a WoB they can confirm or deny my theory . It’s more fun for me that way . Reading a WoB is like looking at a cheat sheet while taking a test for me
