    So to clarify are you saying that Yelig-nar channels it’s power thru the swallowed gemstone but is not actually present in the gemstone . The gemstone is a focus only ?

    I’m leaning toward Yelig Nar as a temporary parasite . He straight killed the Queen because she wasn’t strong enough . Amaram was as strong an Alethi soldier that u can come by and there was barely anything left of him when the transformation was complete . Let’s say Yelig-Nar would of won the battle or escaped it’s a good possibility he would of consumed Amaram eventually . And required a new host . This might be why Odium keeps using him on Alethi nobility . Cause even as they become deadly pawns , he is also removing powerful leaders from human side. . Command of all 10 surges is a powerful boon . The cost is probably great as well . If the cost is not fatal then I don’t see why the leader of the Fused dont pop it in there mouth? Thoughts ? As we saw in WoR spren trapped in gemstones are only trapped until the moment of transformation and the gemstone is broken on the ground and the spren flies into the Singers gemheart . As humans have no gemheart they have to swallow him in a gem . The gem causes a physical transformation and consumes the chest cavity only leaving a gem in the chest area that acts as a gemheart. Point is I don’t think it has to be a perfect gemstone. Only a gemstone small enough to be swallowed .

    Thank you for considering one of the points I brought up. I can get behind this. My argument was that a scared little girl who kills someone , would most likely Breath a sigh of relief after it was done. She wouldn’t growl in anger at the person. So I asked myself , what was Sanderson trying to convey with that outburst from Shallan. My theory is viable. Your explanation of her being angry at someone who forced her to kill is equally viable. perhaps you would like to also share your take on my other two points? Shallan emotionless and laser focus on the remaining threats ( Tyn’s henchmen) Gaz was in shock like a normal person. Shallan was basically focused as she scream Gaz “what about Tyn’s men” she only relaxed after they were reported dead. Does that seem the actions of a scared person? Finally , what’s your take on the attack on Ship. After assuming Jasnah was dead. Shallow burned the whole ship in order to kill crew and assasins! Does this seem the reasoning of a scared person? Do you feel she showed any remorse towards the crew ? Could she have perhaps Used her shardblade as scary and wonderous as they are to kill the assasins and/or intimidate them? What do you think Sanderson was trying to convey about Shallan with that catastrophic use of her powers?

    Thing is Calderis I do see the merits of your arguments . But I still disagree . Not all killers are sociopaths . I think she could of found an alternative to killing Tyn if she was the scared little girl. Cutting her arms or legs with a shardblade and crippling her for life. That would stop any chance of Tyn killing Shallan , but it would expose Shallan so she opted to kill her. Shallan does show remorse but please tell me how much remorse for the crew of the boat she sank . I estimate 5 or 6 assasinans and about 10 crew members . Did she show remorse for anyone but Jasnah ? Kaladin would of tried to save himself and the crew . If people want to Believe her violence is a fear reaction and her scared little girl is true Shallan I won’t argue with you. I only ask you consider the points I brought up. And watch her body count Shallan’s brothers hated their father. Heleran left . The younger ones all blamed Lin Davar for their mothers death . Shallan even tries to tell them the truth , and allows them to continue thinking her father was guilty . All her brothers looked up to Shallan and part of that is why imo Shallan could never admit to herself or them she killed her mother. Her Father was cruel and a prick. Has anyone considered how much he loved Shallan . He let everyone , his wife, his ardents all despised him . He bore that shame just so. Everyone would not think I’ll of Shallan. I think her mother and skybreaker deserved to die , but it’s likely if the truth were known , no mobile families would allow their son to marry a women who murderred her mum?

    That wasn’t fear imo. She could of summoned her shardblade and cut Tyn sword in half and scared her away. I doubt anyone would want to fight a shardbearer with a normal sword. If she had then Tyn would know her secret so she killed her. Furthermore, on the boat she could of summoned her shardblade. She chose to burn it down killing everyon. With stormlight she knew she could most likely survive . I understand you disagreement . Keep watching and see I’m not right about her. The way she growled at Tyn, and snapped at Gaz to stay on task; She didn’t want to hear anything but Tyn men were dead, she was cold , emotionless. I saw no fear

    Thing is the Radiants have expressed no interest in obtaining Sja-Anat as a Team Radiant. The clandestine organization the ghostbloods want her. If Renarin is any indication corrupted spren still work. In fact Renarin spren grants abilities normally reserved for Odium without having side effects of making him inherently evil. So perhaps a new spren is not the accurate assessment. She creates corrupted spren with unpredictable abilities!

    No sir , she was a scared child when she killed her mother. That woman who killed Tyn was no child. Similar to how Adolin plays a dandy before a duel, then will bring the noise in a real fight ; Shallan plays the helpless coutersan Davar. But when Tyn talk to her like a weakling her true self came out and showed her , there is nothing weak about me. Subsequently , Gaz broke into the room, her thoughts shifted to making sure Tyn men were dead. Shallan may supressed her childhood memories because she doesn’t want to face the fact she killed her mom and let her father bear the weight of her moms death so everyone would like her! That’s not a broken child that Sanderson is conveying to us. That a cold blooded murderess who plays helpless people underestimate her. Like she told Tyn, I have learned that lesson already!

    Yeah that kind of makes her more deadly not less deadly , thanks for making my argument . If you watch the movie primal fear , Roy does not have DiD either. The scared kid is a mask . Roy is his real personality . He wears the mask to get out. Of trouble . After shallan kills Tyn , she becomes ice cold , growling and screaming at Tyn , and at Gaz.     Have you ever seen primal fear , Richard gere is a lawyer defending an alter boy accused of killing a priest . The boy is passive and has an alter ego named Roy that comes out and. Kills anybody that threatens the little boy. That’s how I see shallan . A lot of people will die because they don’t perceive her as a threat . So they are not prepared. And Shallan will kill a person and won’t feel bad like Kaladin. Yeah Jasnah is just as deadly ! Problem is everyone knows it and they won’t underestimate her. If they come for Jasnah they coming heavy or not at all .they might send a single or duo against shallan not realizing she will kill them just as fast .     I think one of the Dawnshards is on Aimia . It’s why the island is so protected . If one is beneath Kholinar wouldn’t u think it would equally guarded by Cultivation

    I have always believed montage: the greatest threat is the one you don’t perceive .while Kaladin may be the superior fighter he often struggles with killing . What happen when he Moash in Kholinar he froze! Most people See Shallan as weak , her mother , skybreaker friend, and most of all Tyn thought her easy pickings , boy were they wrong. Named kills are an effective way I use in most fantasy settings to show. A POV characters lethalness. Try it other fantasy series you like and see if it doesn’t work. More times than not it will surprise you.

    Probably so but I could of swore I saw a name for him , perhaps it wasn’t in WoR , maybe he was brought up again in Oathbringer , but I’m almost positive her mother called him by a name. Many people think her mother is unnamed , but because she is a noble by default she is Brightness Davar.

    Lol you are correct , I counted him at first in error , I could of swore he had a name . The Skybreaker that was working for the ghostbloods , When Shallan ran her mother thru , she killed him at same time. After re reading the incident. I did not see a name . Unless he mentioned in a later area I suppose I should remove him .

    Shallan body count Lin Davar brightness Davar (mother) Sky breaker ghostbloods Tyn Tozbeck ship ( burned the whole ship only named guy) And finally the ghostbloods assasin sent after her in shattered plains after meeting Mraize somebody help me I know he had a name As an after thought I should of included Jasnah , I suspect When her story is fully told she will surpass everyone except Dalinar.

    Kaladin had an opportunity to kill Just as many he just always avoids it because he doesn’t like to kill . It’s unreal how many people Szeth and Dalinar have killed so they were taken out . No one has said shallan 5 th murder yet , I’m just wondering will y’all remember !

    I’m currently at 5 for Shallan , I didn’t realize she has killed so many! When she killed Tyn another personality came out that I think she has not named yet. I’m willing to bet that personality is the one that killed her mother and the sky breaker that was with her mother. I keep thinking she has more murders in the shattered plains !

    Dalinar was kept out on purpose ! He is somewhere around 9 . Kaladin did kill Szeth , helleran, you are correct Shallan has the most kills , she has more than the 3 you named , lets see if someone can remember the others . She is quite the murderress!!! And her mothers name was Brightness Davar , which is adequate for the purposes of the tally .

    So I was wondering who is the most dangerous of our POV characters thus far. Kaladin, Shallan , or Adolin? For purposes of this tally only named characters count. Minions don’t count.for example Adolin jumps on the battlefield and kills 20 parshendi with his shardblade they don’t count unless that parshendi had a name like Eshonai . Using this guideline who has the most kills ? Who is the most deadliest? Please list the number of kills u tally to the character! U might be surprised who wins.

    A spren can move , especially a cryptic , tearing up a wall to find one is not very logical when they have spren to hunt it down. Never heard mention of dawn cities , can you elaborate. You are second person that mention Gavilar black spheres? I was under the impression he only had one {BAM] was inside. Are other Unmade in them or what?

I didn’t Give it much thought at first . Then I started wondering what could they possibly want . Seems some speculation is in order. So , we have not seen any Singer cities! We know they were the Original inhabitants. Of Roshar . What if there is an ancient Singer city beneath Kholinar? What goodies would u expect to find? Fabrials ? Gems containing spren trapped for changes in highstorm? Ancient weapons cache? Or perhaps a City built like Urithiru but made for Singers! I’d like to hear your thoughts ?

    Well I’m not necessarily arguing that . Even though I do remember a tunnel somewhere in Urithiru that had gemstones that somehow were invested during high storms . How about this . There is battle in the shattered plains. 1000 listeners died , a chasmfiend and 4 rashadium horses . Few days later a high storm happens investing all the bodies and covering them with crem. A few months later the bodies decompose and are covered by more crem. Gemhearts leak stormlight into the soil , Rockbuds , grass and other plants grow . Is this possible?

    Sanderson wrote in some guys book “ stormlight causes plants to grow! Gemhearts hold stormlight . Gemhearts in the ground will be invested during a highstorm. Some are then covered with crem. Stormlight leaks from the gemhearts in the ground causing plants to grow . Chulls eat the rockbuds, horses eat the grass etc etc. does anybody see where I’m going . Without gemhearts and highstorm Everything on Roshar dies period .does anyone follow where I’m going? another final question ; how many gemhearts does a Reshi greatshell hsve ? And if it’s only one can u imagine how big it is jeez?
