    Thing is let say u are 100 percent correct . Why would anybody want to use Lerasium as. A spike ? They could break the spike up and make 7 or 8 beads . Making themselves a Mistborn , they could take 3 beads and be a triple strong Mistborn . Unless your going to use the spike and steal Ferachemicsl powers and only get one ! I’d make myself and all my family a Mistborn and sell the other beads for a fortune!

    I first posted this what if in another group , a less enlightened group. The discussion was interesting so I thought I would ask you guys and see what you guys thought! Dalinar has trapped Nergaul inside the Kings Drop. A perfect ruby! So what’s the plan now ! Do they put it in a vault in Urithiru and say that’s it? What if Navani got ahold of the Kong’s Drop? What could she do with it . Could she make a Fabrial with it that When turned on sent men on the battlefield into a bezerker frenzy ? Seems logical, but would Dalinar , ever want to use something like that? Probably not , why would Dalinar want to Riot everyone on a battlefield ? The answer is he wouldn’t .... But , then I remembered Navani pain fabrial !!! And, how when Navani was in trouble she reversed the fabrial that was designed to remove pain and made it inflict pain instead!!’ The possibilities made my eyes pop. If she made Nergaul a giant Rioting Fabrial could she then reverse it and Create a Gigantic Soother . That is Something I could see Dalinar putting To Devestating effect. Seeing as they are fighting the Fused, who simply get another Body When killed , the obvious solution is to deny them bodies to possess. And this is a very good tool to use against the passion inspired Singers! thoughts

    Being new to this site I didn’t see your reaction , my reaction was the exact same as yours! Although I know. This was all part of Kaladin path of growth with his ideals , I still was appalled by him freezing, I screamed “ Storms man do something” Moash salute was like hi Kal , I’m murder Ehlokar and totally ruin your life , but we still cool , right ? Wrong, Moash your spineless worm! Sad thing is I recognize Moash and Kaladin are the same character . Except where Kaladin kept his oath Moash broke his and Kaladin knows that Too so he is looking at himself and what he would look like if he had abandoned his Oaths . And that is a knife in his side he won’t forget!

    Ok I understand that by a strict definition he is not a protagonist . Epic fantasy did not exist when these terms were created. So when I say protagonist I mean is he helping the main plot of the story along or is he impeding the main plot of the story along. Sorry for the misspelling . I listened to most of Stormlight on audio books so this is my oversight. I must admit I don’t know much about the Knights Templar , so can u clarify what u are trying to say about that!

    It’s kind of obvious from my handle who I’m most craving a POV flashback from! I want to know more about truthless; When someone is declared truthless do they all get a Honorblade. What do the Shamans from shinovar have to do with the honorblades? I have a suspicion that Nale has influenced their ideology . Mostly because they were convinced the Radiants would not returned which is something that Nale insisted on. Szeth wants to cleanse them, he is very angry with them. Do they deserve this? Or is Szeth just insane. if we learn this then we can guess if Dalinar will ever approve of Szeth 4th ideal quest. So many questions. Who trained Szeth? Do all members of his order train with all 10 honorblades like Szeth claims he has.? Is Szeth the best or are his peers of equal skill, or worse better than him....scary? So who do you most want to see a POV flashback from? I suspect a lot of Jasnah, a few Teravangion, but somebody may surprise and say somebody crazy like Navani! Tell us why u want to see it and what u hope is answered!

    I’m the exact opposite ! I find it more intriguing to discuss things with with fans and have our theories confirmed or denied by Arcanist Like you and R’shara. I agree with you guys 97 percent of the time. Thing is I have also seen people interpret WoB erroneously . They don’t see what Brandon is trying to convey, they only look at the WoB from a perspective of how it supports their own theories and tend to ignore the parts that says hey “ Your wrong” I don’t want to be that guy! I’m just now starting to get into WoB . I think I had first read everything a few times , formulate a few theories, see where I went wrong : like the thread about the Fused and Voidlight . That led me to a better understanding of How Brandon thinks. Now I’m ready for some facts and I’ll be better equipped to understand them now !!

    I’m Blown away! Teravangion is one of those intriguing characters . First you love him , gently old wise king . Then you hate him when you See how he has used Szeth. And the lengths he goes to obtain the death Rattles. You watch him with a face When he tries to beg Queen Fen to allow him to send for healers! How many of us said “yeah riight” Then you fill pity for him when he confronts Odium , or shall we say Odium says hello to a fleck that caught his attention . So if this was all to Put him in position to where he could have the capacity to undermine Odium . And I’m loving this theory like Bruenor battlehammet would say“ don’t ye. Doubt “ where does he go from here, does he give bad advice to Odium primary Agents that he encounters so they fail ? I doubt he encounters any . Does he observe. , collect info about Odium and the Fused ? Again he would need to be around them openly which he isn’t so far ? So his involvement is sonethhg more covert . Odium sees him as somebody insignificant . None of us see Tee in that way . Like Teravangion is a character that defies description. Is he protagonist , is he an antagonist , he may be the former but he certainly acts and behaves like the latter? Let’s dig into this and try and figure out exactly what he can do! I mean u seen this far Cal , pop another vial gold metals and burn it , there has to be more!?

    On days when Taravangion is a dullard, he seems to have high compassion ! At first I thought this was a Ruse! But the more I think about it , I believe he is sincerely more compassionate. On days where his intelligence is high , he seems to have little or no compassion whatsoever! Storms he ordered his guards to excecute the children because there singing was annoying him. He is beyond rude to Adrotagia . He wanted the capacity to save. The world. While I enjoy him immensely when he is Hyper intelligent . What if that’s not the attribute needed to Save the world? What if the Diagram that he created while intelligent . Can only be interpreted correctly by Taravangion when his Capacity for compassion is at his highest level . Hyper intelligent and brutally pragmatic Taravangion simply can’t make adjustmahts to pick out the proper actions that you need to make in response to random Factors Like Dalinar failing to Give in to Odium Like Diagram thought he would... what are you guys thoughts gentlemen!!

    Like I’m on my 4th reread . I know what’s going to happen and I’m still devestated by Ehlokar death . Everyone loves to hate on Moash ; but Kaladin , I have a bone to pick with you ! Like I realize he sees his Alethi Parsh Friend’s and has a Rodney King moment : you know “ Can we all just get along” but come on Kal do sit there and do nothing! Lash your friends up to the roof so they can’t hurt anybody ! Summon Syl as a staff and beat them away from Ehlokar ! Storms do something man. Just one more second and Ehlokar would have comepleted his words! Sigh! Well I guess Kaladin has to live with that for Therese of his life !! Totally let down !!!

    Well That to me is Unbalanced . The Fused can just get Voidlight when they want it, can fly around all day and feet never has to touch the ground . While the KR have to carry pouches of gemstones and better not run out . Unless a Bondsmith is in the vicinity and can supercharge the KR , he is fighting from a disadvantage

    Hey cal please don’t take offense, I think u pretty knowledgeable guy and I want discuss things with u cause I learn from you. Thing is when I read that sentence , my mind interpreted both those quotes differently. When it said new thing of old design . I wondered since they have never had an everstorm before , perhaps during past desolation’s the singers may have sung during high storms to achieve similar effects . As for this part the everstorm didn’t place Voidlight into gemstones. I don’t think that a singers gemheart containing a cognitive shadow from the void would not be infused . The Gemheart might be the proper vessel for Voidlight . Whereas a gemstone is the proper vessel for stormlight. I think Brandon was just telling us don’t expect stormlight from an everstorm ., and don’t worry about Voidlight either. I guess we will have to RAFO . In logical terms I know why Brandon didn’t work the mechanics like that ! Because if he did then u would run into problems . A KR gemstones half filled with Stormlight , then an everstorm hits , would Voidlight purge the stormlight to take its place? So he had to find another vessel for it or those mechanics would pop up! So it makes sense that Everstorm don’t do anything to gemstones!

    It’s really all speculation but u hopped around the point that Jasnah said that supported my argument . She said the Everstorm was new but of old design “ what does it do? It allows the Fused to take host , change forms , and I’m assuming gain investiture . I’m ok being wrong ! I just think it does have something to with it. Also I have seen it say that Everstorm do not charge gems with stormlight ! I have never say it doesn’t provide any type of investiture . I would like to see that if u know where it is . Thx

    Well Jasnah made a comment ! She said the Everstorm was new, it happened differently in the past , I’m guessing it was some other way to infuse Voidlight . Point was she was immediately familiar with the concept after coming out of shadesmar

    I misspoke , your quite right ! Been a while since I read Secret Histories , I thought she was with them. I guess it’s time for re-read Oh I agree, as I said before I had no idea white Sand was centuries ago . I just read it last month . And at that time Khriss didn’t even know about Sand Masters . So I was looking at her in that frame of mind. What would really Help many people understand the Cosmere is if he had a standard date entry in all the books. Think how great it would be if before every novel it said “ the Events in this book take place around 1400 A.S. ( After Splintering) or 70 B.S. ( Before Splintering) it would help us laymen understand tremendously . We all can’t be like Cal and R’shara Walking Talking WoB sources with eidetic memory. If I didn’t know any better I swear you guys are lightwesvers with full mnemonic Resonances...lol Also I enjoyed Warbreaker , most people criticize it , But I’m sorry to say Vasher is a Horrible scholar personality. As much as I try I can’t get scholar out of him . Dalinar type during the Blackthorn yes, Kelsier psychopath I’ll buy it. I just can’t buy a scholar .

    I have thinking about this all night . The more I try and let it go , it keeps coming back up in my thoughts : so let’s recap we all agree that the Fused are cognitive shadows: they occupy the gemheart and rip the spirit web of the listener out forever killing the host . Theory A: Voidlight is the opposite of Stormlight: where Stormlight is captured in gemstones and leaks out over time . Voidlight is absorbed into the Gemheart of. The Fused slowly. Roughly at the same rate as stormlight leaks out. This would allow a direct link to cognitive Realm be it Odium or an Unmade . IT would also make sense That if a creature like The Larkin or leecher would De-invest the Fused it would take a long time hours to build back up . Leaving the Fused vulnerable for a short time Theory B: The Gemheart Captures Voidlight During an everstorm . The gemhearts are Perfect gemstones with little to no leakage. Voidbinders are extremely efficient , requiring very little Voidlight to utilize There surges IF the Gemheart is destroyed under either theory The Fused shadow returns to Braiyse until the next Everstorm and a suitable Vessel can be Found . If anybody has another theory make C and so on .

    Thanks for the insight ! Since we have no Cosmere Date to go off , that’s where my confusion began. I read White Sand and saw how ignorant Khriss was of the magic Systems on her own world . I assumed that between white sand and Mistborn era. 1 . Perhaps 7 to 16 years have went by . I did not know Khriss founded Silverlight and basically a university in shadesmar. I wasn’t aware centuries had passed. I guess what I expected was Khriss to be running up to Kaladin going what is a Radiant and how do your powers work . It also upset me when Preservation. Was dying and she showed up with devices to steal his power , while Kelsier is clueless . Jasnah is my favorite scholar and I kind of dislike the idea of her not being as knowledgeable as Khriss , I was hoping time went by slowly In the cognitive Realm and so maybe Jasnah had time to encounter silverlight , do some research and come home to Roshar filled with Juicy knowledge to fight the Fused with, I do not know how time works in Shadesmar , so if u spend a year there will only a month pass in the physical Realm? I never said Mraize was the leader , I know Iyatal is higher rank than him! She. Is one of the hunters from Southern Scadrial I discerned that from the mask and BoM. I see those Worldhoppers are real stingy with the knowledge they do have though !!! Thanks for great discussion guys.

    During Kholinar Raid in Oathbringer , no one could use stormlight ! If you did the corrupted spren detected investiture be it span reed or KR abilities . Thanks to Wit(Hoid) Azure was able to find a work around . By putting up metal plates ( it doesn’t say what kind but I’m going to guess Aluminum) but my point is Wit knew how to counter spren . I have one issue with Brandon I don’t like! And it’s that Brandon has a tendency to have Worldhoppers that know more about what’s going on behind the scenes than the natives do ! Wit can have a passed cause 5 millennia old. But there are too many others . When Kelsier first escaped the well he ran into Khriss and she knew way more than Kelsier. Iyatal the leader of ghostbloods knows way more than most of the scholars on Roshar, Vashur knows better than most Hoe to fight with shardblade . Khriss wrote arcana unbound and knows more about most of the magic on most planets. I just think there should be scholars on Roshar that know more about Roshar magic than Khriss does! Does anybody feel what I’m saying ?
