    So a friend of mine in another group just sent me a message! He theorizes that the Fused are Cognitive shadows and draw their Voidlight directly from Odium. Similar to When Vin fought the Lord Ruler and drew from Preservation power thru the mist ? @Calderis what do u think to this new theory?

    So do Larkins get bigger as they feed on investiture ? Just had a funny thought ? What if the Priest in warbreaker used a Larkin on the god king . Either it would get really big or die from over eating . I’d like to see what would happen!!

    Oh I know they trying to catch , I didn’t say u said differently . I just think it’s frivulous , he changes his appearance too much . And even if they caught him that couldn’t restrain him unless they had a device they could use against him . I’m basically saying it’s a frivolous mission

    Larkin are dangerous to binders , they can eat any type of investiture or just storm and Voidlight ? I was clapping when chirri chirri ate up his voidlight . I wonder how big they get and can they eat breath and other forms of investiture??

    Well Cal , let’s say your theory is correct ; How do u explain the Fight Kaladin had on the walls of Kholinar with a Fused ? After they were in the air Kaladin quickly summoned Syl as a longknife and plunged into the Fused stomach . This would be a mortal blow to anyone except a radiant. The Fused survived so the Voidlight must have started healing him immediately. It wasn’t until Kal destroyed his gemheart did he stop healing . So either the gemheart is where the Fused stores his Voidlight. Or the Gemheart is where his connection to Voidlight is accessed. Another example of healing is when a Fused used Voidlight to appear human in Thaylan city in attempts to steal the perfect Ruby. That Fused survived several mortal injuries until Rysn Larkin fed on its Voidlight and after it was deinvestated ( Made that up lol) it was then hurt . So Voidlight has some healing or sustaining effect . Now I agree your theory about it going in may be true . I have seen them glowing with Voidlight without using a surge. And example when Kaladin was a captive of Ken and the freed Alethi parsh, that Fused was glowing and apparently not using a surge...

    So I’m greatly interested in how the Fused power their surges . Logic would have us thinking it work Like stormlight . Yet the Fused don’t carry spheres .we know that everstorm does not recharge spheres with stormlight . So I’m going to come up with a theory and see what u guys think . The everstorm brings Voidlight with it when it comes . The Voidlight is captured in the Fused gemheart , gems woven into the Fused hair, and possibly even its skin . We have seen the Fused glow constantly with Voidlight . I think the Fused are extremely efficient with their use of Voidlight . We see the Flying Fused that lash constantly Float around to where they hardly ever walk . So when it comes to surges they are extremely efficient or it cost little to anyvoidlight . it could possibly cost more for Healing as we saw a Fused survive a shardblade tp the stomach. It wasn’t until the Gem heart was destroyed and possibly the source of its Voidlight healing did the creature die ! as the everstorm comes more often than a highstorm , they usually have enough to last until the next everstorm . If u ask me the Fused have more efficient powers . KR have to have constant stormlight and it runs out way too fast. And the high storm does not come around enough . What do u guys think

    Well my apologies . To me a Wyrm is the most Ancient of Dragons . A worm is like a slug. So I assumed everyone would understand I meant Dragon in the most epic sense.

    Only recently on a re read did I actually peruse the letters. For the first time I could actually read what was happening and begin to understand . So Frost by all accounts an ancient Wyrm tries to contact Hoid and stop meddling in affairs of the other Shard holders . It implies that Hoid is bitter about something he lost .From the way it’s worded it sounds like a lover . Frost keep saying move on . Anyways what’s most interesting is the faction called the seventeenth shard . They are apparently hunting Hoid! I’m wondering who recruits them ? Are they in any of the unpublished novels? I recognize Galladon, Demoux, Baon, Even if Galladon has his abilities , which I thought he lost if he left Sel , I doubt they could capture Hoid.!

    I have been wanting to have this discussion for sometime. It’s a sensitive subject , but I think it’s a worthy discussion. What do u think Brandon is trying to convey ? I see two possibilities ? A legacy option and a philosophical option . legacy option : light eyes are the descendants of the KR . Since the KR were the leaders during the desolation this makes sense . U must keep in mind there are eye colors we don’t have IRL : light yellow, light orange , light green. Horn eaters have no lighteyes so we can infer they had no KR . I have heard rumors that Horneaters have listener blood . If this is true then that’s probably why they have no KR. And maybe explains why they can eat shells with their teeth and see Spren. Anyways this doesn’t stop them for trying to get a shardblade . Which I will go into my next point . Philosophical option: Roshar is a fantasy world . The races in Roshar don’t match up. With the Races we have IRL. So every culture seems to have ignorant predjudices . IRL we have racial predjudice , and religious predjudice . Even caste systems like in Japan. So I think Brandon wanted to create a unique predjudice , one that he could use in his narrative to oppress people, and not offend anyone . I think racism is pure ignorance. I think Brandon wanted us to look at it and go well that’s a stupid reason to think u are better than somebody . The Horneaters come down and fight trying to get. A shardblade . I think it’s because they want to have a path to becoming a light eyes , even if they won’t admit their true motives. so what do u guys think about light eyes and Darkeyes ? What viewpoint do you have ? What was Brandon trying to convey. To us ?

    Timbre allows her to use stormlight , the voidspren allows her to have a form of power ( Envoyform ) that uses void light and turns her eyes red . The only surge I have seen Venli use is the one that allows her to stick to walls , I’m thinking adhesion , so I’m going to theorize she can use both Voidlight and stormlight ! So that’s one benifit from having both spren ! Do u agree?

    I’m going to say this I read the whole chapter on Rlain. And I listened to it on audio . Ok now I understand that was fan wiki ! I thought that was canon! So my apologies . I love to theorize and debate . I know RShara from my other group and I have never seen her wrong about anything , lol. It’s scary how fast she whips out sources. You seem pretty sharp too . Let’s just say I hope there is more to Venli than changing her eye color . I think being able to change forms of power at will makes a willshaper intriguing . Let’s hope we see more in book 4. Anyways nice to meet u Calderis and journey . You guys will probably be seeing a lot of me

    Ok you guys are really confusing me . I do not understand how u argue this. With any. Other listener they can only change a form of power during a hightorm. Like When Eshonai was in warform and placed an anger Soren in her Gem heart she changed to storm form . Now Venli has a voidspren inside of her that allows her Envoyform , if Timbre suppresses that and. Exits that form of power she chamges into a new form of power. Several forms of power look alike Envoyform and nimbleform for example , Stormform is a bigger form of warform and the user has red eyes , when she exited Envoyform why are u thinking that’s all that happened was her eyes changed? She can access different surges which would seem logical to me! And just because they haven’t shown it, dont u think it’s some benifit to it . Timbre is hiding in her gem heart now , he is a higher spren while the Voidspren There is a Subspren with no intelligence . So I theorize that Venli can use both the void light when she wants to and stormlight When she chooses to . It also allows her to hide this from other Fused . But it clearly says she can enter and exit forms of power . How can u argue with that! Dude it does not say toggle , it clearly says enter and exit a form of power. You choosing to see it like that , exiting a form of power means u change shape , period!! @RShara can u help me out , I trust your judgement in all things , do u see this the same way

    Venli is a willshaper , her ability to swap forms without a high storm is linked to that most likely. As far as Rlain goes , I didn’t post the whole quote. Basically Rlain says in order for him to draw in stormlight or open his body to it , he would need to be in a proper form ! I assume dullform, workform mateform are basic forms and don’t grant the ability for him to draw in stormlight. For that u need a form of power! Stormform, Envoyform (Venli ) ,the form that allow them to change There arm into clubs and saws etc! So if Rlain wanted to become a wind rider he would first have to put a lesser spren in his gemheart wind spren . With this he could assume a form of power and draw in power as a squire .. to become a radiant he would then have to attract and honor spren Like anyone else . That’s basically what Venli did the void spren granted her a form of power . Envoyform. She then bonded Timbre and became a willshaper . Eshonai did the same thing , she bonded an anger spren which gave her Stormform , she was in the process of Bonding Timbre when she died !

    Well when I looked at this issue , I worked backwards. I saw what I thought was a Chekhov pistol concerning Adolin being born under sign of the nine. Since 9 is Odium number similar to how 16 is Preservations number I got worried. Like you I thought Adolin has no reason to betray his father . So then I looked for possible arcs that could turn him against Dalinar? I hope he doesn’t ! I want him to revive Maya ! But if he did that would be very very bad!

    Did you give any consideration to the two stressors I theorized in my post above. You don’t think him finding out how his mother died could turn him against his father? What about Shallan and Kaladin becoming intimate? That’s usually enough to break some men ? I don’t want Adolin to go o Odium ; but , It could happen if he felt betrayed dont u think ?

    Rlain is pretty much the last of the original bridge 4 to have not learned to draw in stormlight . Rlain says he has to change form to be able to draw stormlight. As Stormform is a new discovery by Venli , I don’t think this is the form Rlain is thinking of . Yes I know Venli is able to use stormlight in storm form . But I theorize there is another common form that could possibly do it to . Perhaps scholar form ? What’s the form that Venli and Eshonai usually wore ( I’m speaking of before Eshonai took warform). Anyways, I think it was scholar ! Does anyone else have a theory of what form this is that Rlain is speaking of? I’m really hoping for Rlain to become a radiant ! Together him and Venli can rebuild the listeners , and perhaps have them oppose the Fused!

    It’s kind of hard to say Wax , Sazed , and Kelsier from Mistborn , Wayne is my favorite support character ever. Szeth , Dalinar , and Kaladin from stormlight .are those elimination games online , I never heard of them?

    I was about to create a thread about this but I searched it first to see if anyone had thought of it! While what got me started was the comment about being born under sign of the nine. There are other things that support this . Kaladin saw a figure of Odiums champion which had 9 shadows. The fact that Adolin is the one person Dalinar cannot Just kill Without conscious . So it all falls down to why ? Why would Adolin go against his farther ; It Seems unconscionable right . Adolin does not know his father is responsible for his mother death. What do u think would happen if he found out. Then imagine Shallan and Kaladin hook up . Could this be enough to send him to the dark side ?
