  1. Never heard of Shout Factory. Looked it up. Now I'm watching Reboot all over again. :3
  2. Hello sweet sharders. I made you some cosmere themed Mad Libs for your enjoyment. The writing's not great and my lore may be off, but all in fun. Practicing Aons: http://www.projectlabyrinth.com/MadLibs/MadLib.php?mid=1352128975030 Dalinar and Others: http://www.projectlabyrinth.com/MadLibs/MadLib.php?mid=1591258846128 Lightsong's Visit: http://www.projectlabyrinth.com/MadLibs/MadLib.php?mid=1577566224291 Kaladin at the Chasm: http://www.projectlabyrinth.com/MadLibs/MadLib.php?mid=1591133668434 Post any results if hilarity ensures (let's keep the forums clean as possible though, hmm? ). And make your own! It doesn't allow for formatting, which is annoying for dialogue.
  3. Welcome! That rabbit hole's quite a journey. We're all still not sure about the destination part. You may be offered cookies soon. And or/breaths. Maybe milk? I don't know anymore. But if so, ask yourself, "Is this too easy?" What are your favorite books or characters?
  4. That scene was so cinematic. I generally "play a movie" of a book in my head while reading, but that part especially I think could transfer to film so well. The sound fading to a high pitched hum when Kaladin freezes and screams while friends on both sides die. The scene goes into slow-mo (or all stop except Moash and Kaladin) while Moash approaches. Then it all crashes back together after.
  5. I can see his Hoid-sense/Fortune check like, "Eh. Nothing urgent going on for a year." What to do? Performance art. Lift does say he shocked a watching crowd.
  6. "There's always another secret." - either MB or secret history “Everything is a contest. All dealings among men are a contest in which some will succeed and others fail. And some are failing quite spectacularly.” - WoK
  7. This feels like a stretch, but possible connection with the Worldsingers? Not as the cultural storytellers Sigzil knows them, but in the distant past maybe the continent was sung into shape. Ancient singers, literally shaping mountain ranges and creating geostorms.
  8. Yep, lost track of what I was talking about. First bit still applies though.
  9. I.......I'm just going to give some upvotes for math and science skills. You people are awesome (crazy, but awesome).
  10. I don't think the later oaths are suppose to be that easy to swear. When the Skybreakers were explaining theirs to Szeth, they acted like almost no one got to the 4th or 5th ideals. And between Kaladin and the old windrunner who left a message gem, the 4th seems very difficult as well. This reminds me of Sigzil's POV chapter. He's in accountant mode and asking good, if boring, questions about how the camp should be organized religiously, where married troops should live, how much everyone should get paid, etc. I think it'll be some war progress/army building (serious coalition this time?), but also some societal changes settling down. There was a lot of upheaval in the class system with the absence of the parshmen to do menial tasks. Plus the Vorin church is slowly being undercut, which might have crazy repercussions.
  11. I mentioned in a different thread that Hoid could have one of Autonomy's avatars worshiping him (by accident or on purpose?). It's because of this that she has to instill new avatars of with a strong dislike and distrust of him. Maybe one of the crazier Heralds? Ishar seems pretty out of touch with reality, I could see Hoid convincing him he was a god.
  12. Highstorm, yup!
  13. I agree it seemed tacked on and rushed. It's possible Brandon didn't want it to be a big affair. Adolin and Shallan had already had their "you're the one I want" scene in the street. Also very possible that there was a bigger wedding scene and it simply got edited out and scraped for length. I very much doubt they're in for marriage bliss though. Drama makes a story. And there's a lot of secrets that I think will come to light.
  14. I just assumed that this referenced that Cultivation had some association with stone, similar to how Honor had a connection to the winds. While stone and crystal aren't necessarily the same thing, there's a lot of crystal imagery associated with Wyndle's appearance and his talk of gardening crystal objects. I don't think Autonomy's involved, but I think the idea of the crem spren and/or land building spren is a very interesting one.
  15. Well now I wanna try SA riddle limericks....Hmmmm... There once was being of travel With strength to throw boulders like gravel The people did hide Their time they did bide Setting out spheres by the pocketful. (pretty sure pocketful doesn't rhyme)
  16. An adbridged Red and Black from Les Mis, spoilered for length
  17. Happy Easter! Easter always stands out to me as such a beautiful holiday, celebrating life and triumph.
  18. WoB are considered cannon unless Brandon mentions an answer might not be, correct? They're a big source of everyone's theories. But.....should we take them a little more fluidly? Brandon's only human. I respect him for answering questions (and not RAFOing everything) and having fun with fans. But with people asking complicated and/or clever questions, particularly about things he'll write years from now, he is bound to slip up and say something incorrect or something that will be changed later. To clarify, I don't mean a slip of the tongue like saying "mistwraith" instead of "mistborn", people generally do a great job in the footnotes explaining likely errors. Speaking of, this WoB from Oathbringer Chicago signing (Nov. 21, 2017) (while Brandon had a cold) contradicts a scene from an interlude in Words of Radiance where Hoid hits himself over the head with a rock several times. I'm probably just reading way too much into things and the answer's something like, "He wasn't hitting himself very hard." But it does make me wonder about the WoBs. I just hope they don't come back to bite him later.
  19. I misread this as "money" and was confused and amused that you named your money.
  20. After finishing OB, flipping open WoK on a whim to the first chapter and losing my mind realizing Jezrien was there.
  21. This thingemy sounds amazing. Well, it sounds like a lot of work. But wow, what a time and money saver.
  22. I hadn't even thought about going beyond..... If you turn your soul into the soul of an object, would it go beyond or would it join the sea of soulbeads? The souls of humans are so different from other souls, like how they are represented in Shadesmar as well as what they're capable of, I don't know what rules they follow.
  23. If a human is soulcast into a material like smoke or stone, it will temporarily retain the memory and experience of being human while its new identity asserts itself. During this period, is it possible to soulcast the stone back to a person? Using a large amount of investiture?
  24. Oathbringer Spoilers:
  25. Navani knows.
