  1. I knew about Alloy, but I can't find anything on Warbreaker being moved, I assumed it was the same (several hundred years pre-WoK) which is my problem, the books then wouldn't be chronologically sequential as HoA would have to be after Warbreaker Edit: I just realised the problem I am having is that I'm thinking of things relative to WoK so if WoK was moved down to before AoL instead of Alloy being moved to after WoK then this makes more sense
  2. Actually I have a slight problem with using HoA as a baseline, as I'm not entirely sure where it belongs, it's either around 300 years before WoK (Which I have been using as my baseline) or somewhere between 300-1300. The problem for me is the adjusted timeline for AoL being slightly after WoK instead of roughly the same time as Warbreaker, but AoL is also 300 years after HoA (mentioned in book) which would move the entire series of Mistborn up quite a bit, and also make it occur after Warbreaker although Brandon has stated that the books were chronological. so yeah I'm not entirely sure where the Mistborn series goes, although I think it's most likely set about 300 years pre-WoK.
  3. Oh and for another question -When do the events of Elantris take place with respect to the rest of the cosmere?
  4. Blood and bloody ashes! I've been trying to figure it out from the time when Aona and Skai were shattered and any reference to a time when Odium wasn't on Roshar but I came up with nothing. (Although I did see that entry to Odium not being native to Roshar which is interesting.
  5. Hey all, I've just been looking at the chronology on the wiki and there seem to be quite a few gaps that I'm sure we could fix up a bit, so if anyone finds a quote on something that could be of any use to a timeline could you post it on this thread? I'll try to compile everything into as coherent a timeline as I can. Edit: The biggest problem I have right now is trying to fit in the events on Sel, I can't find any reference to what kind of time period we are looking at between Elantris and any other book, so any information on that would be great.
  6. Be careful of the waffle it has an atium spike in the middle to steal your soul. is really really delicious
  7. Ah! but if you turn an S on it's side it looks like a tilde and in mathematical logic the tilde symbol represents a negation!
  8. Basically I'm thinking of pre-Lerasium Scadrial here, one in every few thousand were very weak mistings, I assume the same thing about pre-Elantris er... Elantrians? I would say Aonics but that's not really them :S anyway we know that Elantrians taken by the Shaod have different levels of ability in drawing Aons so yeah, I see being taken by the Shaod as being about equivalent to someone who has enough of a connection to Aona to be equivalent to a misting in Scadrial, and presumably the Shaod is something similar to Snapping. I'll need to think about it a bit more to get specifics down but that's the basics of it.
  9. That's the closest I found, I don't know that that's enough to say that it was worth that much, considering he likely bought him for something virtually worthless pretty much anything is a profit. Also there is no reason to assume that whoever bought him knew anything about Shin assassins. Indeed I don't think that there ARE any other Shin assassins at the moment.
  10. Yeah he can soothe hunger and fatigue as well, although I can't find references from someone POV when this has happened so I'm not sure about that one, I think that emotional allomancy basically has to do with neurochemicals of one kind or another, this explains why things like pain, hunger and fatigue can also be affected. I think that hunger and fatigue would be directly affected instead of just their importance.
  11. Actually I think this makes a bit of sense, the original Elantrians (who built Elantris) must have had a larger spiritual connection to Aona, and so could draw Aons without assistance. They then built Elantris to magnify their power, something then happened to cause them all to either die or leave. The Aonic population migrated and eventually had been living in the area and been targeted by Elantris for long enough that they began being taken by the Shaod. (I think that makes sense, I'm still trying to think it over)
  12. To be fair, anyone who wanted people to think it was a Parshendi assassin would do that, but yeah it still seems quite unlikely that they could be manipulated so easily.
  13. Well I'm the one who realized it must be an Epic God Metal, so there! Edit: So I propose, the theorizer, the realizer and the namer... although that sounds to me like the title of a C.S Lewis book
  14. Voidus

    Promotions!

Well on the plus side they'd be less susceptible to being controlled by Ruin XD
  15. Absolutely loved the write up! EDIT:(and it's clearly getting late for me as I had to make three attempts to use the correct 'write' for this sentence )
  16. Also, I may be willing to accept that the plate comes from the Parshendi (Unlikely but then with the cosmere you can never be certain ) but at the very least I seriously doubt that the Blades could be made of it, especially with the vanishing and summoning trick.
  17. I am substituting that for salt in every conversation I ever have, hey did you know that 97% of the salts found in the ocean is The Epic God Metal!!!?
  18. I've been going through the database and I can't find it but I swear I remember a quote on that...
  19. What? Where? Edit: Nvm found it XD
  20. Not a problem! Happy to help out. XD

  21. Actually it would still break the rule of 16 even if it was an atium/lerasium alloy, because it would still be an allomantic metal when not alloyed. UNLESS it was it's own god metal, which also makes it a metal even if it's not and would make this theory work, and due to the extreme awesomeness of Brandons ideas I propose that Sodium Chloride is the god metal of Adonalsium himself!
  22. true! also, cookies have carbon in them, diamonds are made from carbon, therefore my cookie is a diamond!
  23. Do we have any more information on how Nicrosilminds work yet? last I saw was the MAG which said that you could basically store any kind of feruchemical charge as just a general 'investiture' charge, so I suppose this could potentially work for allomancy as well, and on the plus side you shouldn't need 32 seperate Nicrosilminds either.
  24. I don't think that atium can store more than one ability, otherwise the Marsh wouldn't have needed 20 odd spikes I do agree that is was probably a result of (reverse?) compounding sorry I thought before that you were saying that all the original mistborn could do this
  25. Yes but Ellend had a bead of Lerasium and his allomantic strength wasn't even near what we saw from TLR
