  1. Haha, well that's true, but just for the purposes of discussion let's say that's not possible I think that basically the best method is to have a few disposable troops to engage in melee combat and then get a heap of archers to just shoot them all full of arrows, if he tries to do a reverse lashing in that instance he'd get cut down by the infantry.
  2. Actually I just thought of something on the subject of cavalry, do we know if emotional allomancy can affect animals? Because that could potentially be really dangerous at the right time in a cavalry charge if a duralumin fuelled riot of fear in the horses went off, they'd probably throw off their riders and trample them to death running away, also could be useful if any army was travelling cross country to get wild animals to consistently attack them, further decreasing morale.
  3. I'm really hoping that Odium can't see the future too well either, but yeah given how much he seems to scheme everything I think he has to be reasonably good at it.
  4. Only the physical and mental attributes I would think, not allomantic or feruchemical abilities But I think it would probably twist your body and mind even more, having bits of a spirit that aren't even human grafted onto your spiritweb.
  5. Actually I was thinking that a double chromium would be best paired with steel feruchemy, lets you zip around to touch everyone pretty much instantly and then yeah in the middle of a fight tapping just a bit of steel with massive amouts of luck. And then a plane falls from the sky killing all your enemies leaving you completely unharmed
  6. Yeah I was thinking on similar lines Aethling, Allomantic sabotage. Also rioting everyones hunger to go through supplies, soothing the alertness of sentries so you can slip in more spies, rioting the lonliness of troops could cause some serious homesickness, confusion in engineers to prevent any ideas, same with the strategists, or their anger, so they continually argue. Soothe people so they become more comfortable around you, easier to find out any secrets or plans. Emotional allomancy is the best.
  7. Although shoving a bunch of spikes onto all of your corridors seems like a bit of an over reaction when there are only 2 people known that can do it But yeah, spike and ballista seem like a winning combination.
  8. Well I'd say that the shaod came before Elantris, but because Aon Rao targets Elantrians that it also increased the effects of the transformation. (Basically what ReaderAt2046 said)
  9. If I had a smaller gif of it I'd give you another cookie for that Odium Random (seemingly useless) knowledge ftw!
  10. Peoples emotions are very complex, we all feel a little bit of each emotion all the time, so I doubt that would cause a problem for rioting. Not showing an emotional response but still feeling the emotions sounds MUCH more like saidin to me, not saidar, the flame and the void are about distancing your thoughts from your emotions, every exercise for saidar that I can think of involves remaining calm and serene. Even if Moiraine could channel under emotional circumstances allomancy can affect some very odd things sometimes, fatigue and hunger were mentioned. Fatigue in particular could be useful, I would challenge anyone to be able to channel when they feel as though they haven't slept in weeks. I can't be absolutely sure but I think at some point that Breeze soothes pain in the books, another very useful ability when used correctly.
  11. Good, plenty more cookies where that came from, although I might try to find a smaller one :S
  12. Theodrin was raised to full Aes Sedai shortly after, so I don't think it was a lack of knowledge. And there's still the whole test for the shawl to explain, the whole point of which is to be able to stay calm and therefore channel under extremely frightening circumstances.
  13. The best cookies always are XD
  14. If it says that it was cut I'll take that to mean by a shardblade but yeah I can only remember it saying broken :S
  15. Yeah, I don't think you can avoid it just by knowing it's happening, when Vin did it to Straff he still felt all the emotions (and then none) even though he had been told that she was doing it.
  16. Haha, actually it's a link to an image from wikipedia, but really who wouldn't save a cookie to their hard drive
  17. But people can't make Aons work at all without being taken by the Shaod, the Dhakor can still use... er.. DhakorDor?
  18. Yes! That's what I like to see, scientific progress! Extra Cookies for Odiums Shard!
  19. But then, there is no equivalent of the Shaod for the Dhakor either, they seem able to generate monks on their own.
  20. I had a thought before that it could be related to the Skaze somehow, maybe the chanting directs the skaze which then mutate the bones, but then again they are splinters of dominion so I can't see them being to submissive. hmmmm.
  21. Well I'm sure there'll always be a blackmarket for them if all else fails.
  22. Yeah, that could work! I can definitely see that happening as a method of execution for mistings/ferrings. I'm sure there would be enough to generate quite a few as well, considering the population size and that they have a SWAT team solely for allomancers.
  23. He can't do anything to allow himself to be harmed, it is part of the nature of his suffering, that's why he takes of the white clothes after killing the king, so no one will recognise and kill him.
  24. Ah, well then yeah Hoid was Wit in the stormlight archives so I doubt that he'd also be one of the Heralds, he has his own thing going on. The Almighty is the Shard Honour, so once again not one of the Heralds. As for Szeth he is forbidden to take his own life, otherwise he would.
  25. Well they did try to repair it, also do we know that it was actually cut by a shardblade? We know it was broken but that could have happened some other way.
