  1. Yes, there is a low limit, but they don't have to be lighter than atoms. They just need to be as light as possible, and start to accumulate metal particles around them by pulling/pushing them, until they have enough to propel themself through space by pushing on them. And because there is no air resistance, that's enough to slowly gain speed and change direction. They can even use their own metalminds or metal flakes. They only need to become an ion engine themself. I'm not saying that it would be a very effective method, but it's something they can do. That's why I said "if they're very lucky" And those regions of the asteroid belt, the Kuiper belt and likely the Oort Cloud, are more dusty than other regions of the Solar System, so there are "a bit" more particles to catch and push from. Of course, if Fullborn got lashed not in the direction of the Solar System orbital plane, they have to wait only for the Oort Cloud, which is the most likely scenario, and that's why I mentioned mainly the Oort Cloud. Still, there would be "some" dust and solar winds everywhere for them to accumulate.
  2. They can easily travel in space: I'm not arguing for or against Fullborn here, but yes, they can nullify Lashings with A-aluminum, and with F-Iron reducing their mass, they can push themself from ions of iron and other metal which are present in the solar wind. That would be slow, but that's enough in space. They can also start pushing from dust particles or if they're very lucky, from small rocks and asteroids. Or just literally reduce their mass to become a solar sail, using light from the star to push them back into the planet. If a Windrunner were to lash Fullborn outside of the star system, then they could push themself from objects in the Oort Cloud back into the planet, or again, if they're lucky to encounter some small rock or asteroids, they could use those as well. That won't be easy for them, it would certainly take some time, but Fullborn aren't as helpless in space as some might think. And tbf, with both of them being infinitely invested, lashing or investing them in any way would be impossible.
  3. Oh boy, here we go again. Spore Eaters seem to not have any control over their spores, so outside of spores preventing their death, they're not have much to offer. Like Tress figured it out, you need to just immobilize them without harming them to defeat them. They need a lot of water, more than Aetherbound, so if you can destroy their water supply, they will kill themself very soon. Let's talk about Aetherbound, who doesn’t have such explosive nature like spores. Midnight Aethers are very versatile and dangerous, they can create Midnight Essence and send them from far away to silently assassinate your opponent. That's very scary. And in direct combat, Midnight Essence are autonomous, they are sapient enough to act on their own, so you can swarm your enemy with dozens of them until they are killed. Their slippery nature would make them very hard to catch or immobilize like with vines or crystals, unless making a full, thick box around them. Roselit and Crimson are both very similar, they provide good defensive and offensive capabilities. Like Prasanva did, you can make armor out of them, use them to hide, or make crystal weapons (fast with Crimson). Dangerous in close combat. I do like Verdant Aethers, using vines looks very cool, and you can achieve quite a lot with them. Mostly immobilize your opponent, or be like Davy Jones and choke your enemy from the inside. You could likely make a living armor from vines around you, and stop projectiles and weapons with them so they are good on the defense as well. They remind me a lot of Awakened ropes, probably that's why I like them so much. And like Awakened ropes, you can use them to quickly descend or ascend on the battlefield. But those are vulnerable to Sunlight Aethers, not ideal. Sunlight Aethers - we don’t know much, they generate heat and light. If you’re immune to that heat, you could become a living torch/Firebender and do some cool stuff, Great against Verdant, but not that useful against crystals. Zephyr Aethers make air, which you could use just to blow something/one away, but most Aetherbound can anchor themself strongly to the ground, so that’s not very useful. Zephyr Aetherbound likely won’t create explosions like Zephyr spores. With this I think that the best would be Midnight Aetherbound, as they can kill their opponents silently before the battle, or during a battle create a swarm of minions to overwhelm their opponents from far away. Roselit, Crimson and Verdant Aetherbound are likely not that far away. They have good defense and offence, so they can be a dangerous opponent. Spore Eaters on the other hand not so much. Just grow vines/crystals around their legs and arms and that's it, or blow them off the fighting area/clif/ship/whatever there is.Or blow them into the wall. That's it. As long as you don't harm them, they don't pose a threat to Aetherbound.
  4. That's possible, but hard to do, WoB? But if you just Forge your connection to Arelon and be waiting for the Shaod to take you, it won't work like that, WoB: If you Forge yourself to be Elantrian, the more believable past you make, the easier it is for a Soulstamp to be accepted, and the longer it will last. But you would still need to reapply it from time to time, just like regular Soulstamps work.
  5. The closest known black hole. For all we know there might be a primordial black hole hidden in our Solar System and we simply can't detect it yet. Currently, only Taldain seems to be advanced enough to mathematically prove that black holes can exist, and possibly observe and detect some of them with their technology. Rest of the Cosmere is just not there yet to know what even is a black hole. And you're showing a constellation map, which shows visible stars in the night sky of some planet. Black holes usually don't produce light, and if so, they would be just mistaken for a star because people don't know about them yet.
  6. The spores are Aethers as well. On moons most of Aethers reside, those are Prime Aethers, and they're producing spores which are falling down on Lumar as a means to propagate themself and gain water. It's not that the spores alone are parasitic, it's just that all Aethers on Lumar's moon are parasitic, who focus extensively on propagating themself onto Lumar and gaining as much water as they can from it. It's mostly visible with Spore Eaters, which are created instead of Aetherbound like everywhere else.
  7. Yes rules! Just normal Shard's rules don't apply to them, they have their own sets of rules. No idea. Aethers themself are investiture, and are sapient. All of them fed on water, not just Lumar strain. But normal Aethers can be also fed with investiture, not just water, Lumar however is a world devoid of easily accessible investiture, so water is the only option there, but if someone had investiture he might be able to feed them with it (maybe that's why Riina was controlling Midnight Essence, feeding them with AonDor instead of water). But we don't know yet why Lumar's Aethers are so parasitic unlike the others. In general, you give Aethers water/investiture in exchange for control over them, like control over Midnight Essence, or like what Spore Eaters are doing. Normal Aethers don't create Spore Eaters, they have Aetherbound who have far greater control over Aethers who don't want to kill them. This seems to be a more symbiotic relation than a parasitic one. Edit: Did you read TLM?
  8. Aethers are not of Shards. They predate the Shattering of Adonalsium, and are not even of Adonalsium's power as well. No Shard presence is necessary for Aethers to exist on any planet. Aethers on Lumar migrated there, but they are some parasitic strain of Aethers, unique/different from the others. WoB: Edit:
  9. Likely. Scadrial's is empty, Selish is very dangerous so empty as well (maybe except for Ire presence), Nalthian might be inhabited, at least by humans, there is a lot of traffic and trade coming from Nalthis, Threnodite is definitely empty as well, too dangerous (presence of Ire there was noted in SH), Taldain’s is likely empty, given the Autonomy’s policy on worldhopping, or at least isolated, Yolen is inaccessible, Silverlight is the major city in CR, which could exist even before the Shattering, so it would also influence the language significantly. What else there is - First of the Sun is far away, Obrodai unknown, both aren’t major Shardworlds, and are relatively isolated, with no safe perpendicularity, so likely empty as well. And some other mentioned worlds here and there, like Vax, are just totally unknown to us. Only Rosharan subastral is known to be naturally inhabited and provides very easy access to investiture, which is a currency there. Nalthis and Silverlight are busy as well.
  10. I agree, I don't think Fused and Regals are Odium's pure invested art. Their eyes are red after all, which might indicate Corrupted investiture. But Odium's color is mostly gold or black violet. That's why I agree Odium is hacking the Honor and Cultivation's invested arts with his own Voidsprens and powered by his Voidlight, which is basically corruption. Kaladin, after Teft death, had mostly golden eyes with some red in it, seems like in that moment Kaladin was closer to pure Odium's invested art than Fused/Regals are. They're definitely not. The Sibling, during their Unmaking, was resonating in the Rhythm of War. Likely all Unmades resonate in rhythms of Odium+Honor or Odium+Cultivation. Or maybe, in the case of the Sibling, it was because they were not fully Unmade yet, and they would be resonating in Rhythm of Odium after it was done.
  11. He is doing it right now. He's favoring Preservation and limiting Ruin, and that's likely causing Harmonium reactivity. He's not in Harmony despite what he is saying. I think the problem is that he sees both Preservation and Ruin as separate Shards in opposition to each other, rather than one Shard of Harmony. After all, these Shards were able to harmoniously work together to create Scadrial and sapient humans, Sazed however is using either Preservation part of Harmony or Ruin part to achieve his goal.
  12. Oh, yeah, now it's making sense!
  13. You know, there is a problem with lashing a black hole - as soon they get close to it, they're dead. Investiture won't help here, as it also is affected by gravity in the same way energy is, and it will fall into a black hole. And how do you touch a black hole to lash it, when its singularity is beyond the event horizon, and the event horizon isn't a physical thing that you can touch?
  14. I don't think so. You need ability to draw investiture from SR, from Preservation/Harmony. Here however you already have that investiture, that does a very specific thing, filtered through the metal that was burn by a leeched metalborn. It's ready to be used. With Feruchemy investiture, it's also leeched when it was drawn from metalminds, so there would be likely no identity problems (medallions are interchangeable, so there is no problem that different people tap and store in it). What you leeched is pure investiture, that is ready to do specific work.
  15. I don't think he was on the same level just after Ascension. This WoB says he made himself an extremely powerful Allomancer, and if his power level was just like normal Lerasium Mistborn, then at that time he would be just "normally" powerful Allomancer. If he was a savant in Aluminum, he could likely cleanse his soul from harmful effects of savanthood: I still doubt it. Executions were mandatory to witness for all inhabitants of Luthadel, so there would be more than 1 mil people on the execution square. He was soothing all of them. Even Vin felt it from the building on the other side of the square during the first execution when TLR arrived. That's too much even for Elend. Even if we take into account reverse compounding, savanthood etc, he would still be stronger than Elend.
  16. That sounds a lot like Hemalurgy. What this is doing here is basically ripping a portion of a person's spirit web and attaching it to yours. Maybe you can do that only while maintaining a physical contact with the other person, and it doesn't grant you permanent powers, this would be far less Ruinous. But it's not like Allomancy isn't destructive already. Should this work? I don't think so. But Resonance could make this work. Both of these powers are purely about Investiture, one kinetic, the other one innate, so it's not so unbelievable, that if you combine those powers you could leech somebody's ability and not just metal reserves and store it in metalmind. Identity might cause some problems here. But on the other hand stealing, and therefore ripping a piece of soul from somebody, would be very hard, far beyond the capabilities of any leecher, because the amount of power they have is far less than what soul has. It would be similar to leeching a spren, which is unthinkable with the power available to them. It could work the other way as well, F-Nicrosil letting you store kinetic Investiture instead, and not only that, but also letting you store leeched kinetic investiture, instead of it going back to SR. In this case you could make it work like it's described, without making it too broken. A coinshot is pushing metals - you leech from him the steelpush and store it in metalmind, later you can tap it, and because it's already in the form of kinetic investiture, you don't need to be a coinshot to use it, nor there is any identity problem there. Somebody is healing with F-gold - you leech and store, later you just tap your Nicrosilmind to heal wounds with pure kinetic Investiture of gold healing. I think that could be a far better solution instead of giving a Sapper permanent abilities from every person he leeched, and this doesn't damage a soul in any way. And because Brandon's magic is all about limitation, this option provides a lot of limitations - you leeched a single steelpush from coinshot, you can use only a single steelpush yourself. It would be impossible to hoard all powers for a long time of use (and become a Fullborn), and using them thoughtlessly would be wasteful, but provides opportunities for some very cool scenes, actions and combinations of powers. The more I think about it the more cool it sounds and now I want to have that power! However the most unfitting part of it is the name - the Sapper - why? Sappers blow stuff up, there is nothing to blow here! Or anything to build too. Something with F-brass, which stores heat, should be called Sapper.
  17. Shallan isn't a reliable narrator, she lies to herself to keep functioning, as the truth is too hard for her to accept. We've seen this behaviour in all 4 books. This is just another example of her lying to cover the truth.
  18. Shadesmar is the Rosharan name for Rosharan part of Cognitive Realm (Rosharan Subastral). It translates to "Cognitive Realm ''. But it is a name that is and will be commonly used in reference to the whole Cognitive Realm across Cosmere. And that's why Khriss uses it in Arcanum Unbounded.
  19. Yeah, I wish I knew answers to these questions because they are very awesome It shouldn't. Like the coat that Vasher and Vivenna Awakened has, it has the shape of a person, but it doesn't move like a human back or legs, and can move in a way to catch arrows in the air. I think it might take less Breaths to Awaken. But I don't know if folding an object in the shape of a man is enough for Breath reduction, but on the other hand what are Vasher's strawmen if not straws folded into the shape of a man? In the case of Soulcasting I say no. You're changing the body into the object, so it stopped being the body. Type 2 Awakening replaces the soul of a dead person with Breaths. Plus intent matters a lot too, so if Awakener Awakens a type 3, it will remain type 3. Command, intent and because Breaths are used to replace missing a soul. I see no reason why not. Vasher's strawmen are dead plants, every rope is dead plants. So making type 3 out of the dead body should be normal. But you would need to give color, it won't be taken out of the body. Likely, investiture resist investiture. That would be fun for sure No idea.
  20. At that point Kaladin's Oaths were almost broken, to the point where he couldn't even breathe in Stormlight. Syl was almost dead. He was too far away from the Cognitive/Spiritual Realm that he simply couldn't hear Shardblades screams anymore. And also Syl was far away, and distance between Radiant and spren also matters a bit. It's not that she can't Surgebind with her blade in hand, it's that at that point Shallan could make an illusions far away from her, which are moving and talking only by attaching them to Pattern, and making Pattern do the talking. Testament is the only Shardblade whose original Knight is still alive. That's special. Plus Shallan herself noted in RoW that she remembers she was using Surgebinding after breaking her bond with Testament, but before bonding Pattern. That's special too.
  21. Urithiru is basically made out of light in the Cognitive Realm (RoW ch 22), that's because they're so invested, so it would be also hard for a Shard to look into the Tower, just like Preservation and Ruin had a hard time to see what is happening around metal. Plus, what @Trusk'our said.
  22. She killed her mother with Testament, which was a living spren. Since she has broken her bond with Testament, she has a dead Shardblade, and since she has bonded Pattern, and told her second Truth (I killed my mother), she has also Pattern as a living Shardblade. 23. Spacetime is 4 dimensional. 3 spatial dimensions and 1 dimension of time. So yes, almost everything in our Universe is in 4D. including humans.
  24. Yup, the best way to learn more is to read about it on Coppermind first: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Cognitive_Realm. And for more very revelant knowledge, read about Realmatic Theory: https://coppermind.net/wiki/Realmatic_Theory Cognitive Realm, known as Shadesmar on Roshar, is the Cognitive reflection of Physical Realm. Everything that exists in the Physical Realm has its manifestation in the Cognitive Realm. On Roshar, it's in forms of beads that represent the cognitive aspect (mind) of every object. Living souls are represented by a flame. The size of the Cognitive Realm is dependent on how much "thought' is focused on/in certain places in the Physical Realm. Like in space, there is nothing, therefore its size in the Cognitive Realm is very small. Places devoid of life and humans are far smaller in Cognitive Realm than in Physical Realm. That's why you can easily travel between planets through the Cognitive Realm, as the distance between them is vastly shrunk in there, compared to the Physical Realm. You can enter the Cognitive Realm through perpendicularity, which is a place where there is so much investiture, that it pierces through the three Realms, bringing them closer together.
  25. No, there is nothing like that yet
