In the beginning of the chapter 48, The Nightmare, Hoid is talking about the difficulties the Crow's Song is going through and he says this: We know that realmatic concepts are capitalized, specially Shards' names. We also know that we don't know the Intent of the last of the sixteen. Could it be Fate? Some of the problems of this theory is that, according to WoB in the Stuttgart signing in 2019, one of the remaining unknown (at the time) Shards' Intent is along the lines of Wisdom or Prudence. None of the known shards fit that, I think. Maybe Invention? And I think the fifteenth Shard has already been revealed. Another point is that Hoid says "Fate herself". So he was speaking about a person, and I would think that a Shard would be a great fit for such a monumental concept. Of course, he could be anthropomorphizing Fortune. What do you guys think?

I have and I'm really excited. Brandon is such a talented writer and he explores his novels' topics so well. I'm with high expectations for this show.

Hello. We know that to a Nahel Bond be formed we need a crack in the soul of the recipient. We also know that Shardblades cut directly through the soul. So, do you think it's possible to create the soul crack needed by the Bond in an unbroken person (let's say, Adolin) by cutting them in a non vital part with a Shardblade? Do you think the Knights Radiant would use of this method with potential recruits? It is harmless. Even if the applicant didn't become a Knight, a Truthwatcher or Edgedancer could heal them in no time. If they got to be a Knight, they could heal themselves. I don't see Windrunners using this tactic, but what do you think of the other orders, such as the Dustbringers? It WOULD be quite courageous to undergo this trial.

He may be a perfect fit for the Edgedancers, but, as I see it, the Nahel Bond occurs in people who needs improvement. Kaladin has depression, Shalan has PTSD and split personality disorder (ish), Dalinar is alcoholic and also has PTSD, Renarin has his blood disease and autism, Jasnah had that traumatic experience when she was younger (and that I hope to know more about in this book). Even that Iriali shoemaker had regrets about his past as a petty thief and the murder. Adolin, however, is kind of perfect in his own way. He may be dumb as a rock and a little frivolous, but he accepts himself that way. Even after killing Sadeas, his primary concern was that his father wouldn't aprove, not that it was wrong. And, if I'm not mistaken, Brandon said that you need to have a crack in your soul to form a Nahel Bond.

I have read most of his works. Haven't gotten to Legion or Rithmatist yet, but I will pick it up eventually.
