The court can still be a thing, if more people sign up. The iceblades still allow us to access her power. The court can return! Plus it is the only entity that the DA remotely respects, so we would ask before invading. Might be a good place for anti DA people to hang out.

Queen elsa steelheart. We usually shorten her name to the Queen.

The courts Heyday was way earlier in the history of the Alleyverse RP. You can become a noble in the court and get a sweet iceblade. Currently me and ark are the only members who are still active in the RP section.

The issue is, the only city that actually sees action would be the Alleycity, we have never RP'ed in other cities. I guess you could fabricate that a city existed... but then we run into the same problem. If you want power, you can come to the court of newcago and become a noble. Im pretty sure that we each get a section of lands. Idk, the Queen hasn't been online recently.

Unless your guild somehow has enough manpower to force people to move to the City, I don’t think that you can just construct a city. If you look at history, there is no way to build a city in the timeframe of the RP. You need to build all the buildings, you need to provide an infrastructure, but most importantly you need to convince people to live there. That’s not the kind of stuff that just happens overnight, it takes lots of time. If you look at how long real cities take to develope, you can’t get a respectable city in just a few years. The keepers don’t have a city, they have a town where feruchemists can live. They live together for the same reason that people of the same race try to live together in different cities. In addition their blood is the only way people can get Feruchemy, it makes sense to try to keep that together. I have no idea how the ghostblood city works as a functional city. It makes legit no sense. They don’t need to create a place for culture, because being a ghostblood isn’t a racial or ethnic identity, it’s a job. I guess they could all move their to be close to headquarters? But that makes no sense in a world spanreeds where communication is instant. It would make more sense for them to spread out so they can reach targets better. They probably aren’t an economic center, because what investors would try to support an economy in there if only ghostbloods are allowed in? They aren’t located on any trading routes, and have no natural recourses. Also, the amount of resources it takes to build a city is astounding. You need to have really deep pockets in order to build them, and have a lot of people willing to move in. In short, If you are going for realism I don’t think any guild has the power to build and run a city.

Im considering giving my amoeba a type 4 awakened object. It was going to be Duct tape, but I'm not sure if awakening it would increase the point value.

The DA technically owns the GB’s. We absorbed them in a brilliant political move when the current leader gave me permission to spike them all. Twas the culmination of months of scheming and planning. Unfortunately the rest of the GB’s didn’t like that, so they left the DA to reform the ghostbloods. But technically we own them, the name, and any related properties.

To my knowledge any of the mods can approve new characters, but archer is the best at it and generally runs the lists. There is no guide for the weaknesses. The person counting the points determines it. The difficulty for weaknessess, is what one weakness is to someone isn’t necessarily the same applied to everyone. It can vary wildly based on how much you RP it, and there are other factors. This is the weakness section of the index. Weaknesses To subtract from a character’s score, the tabulator should take into account their weaknesses. Since even the same weakness can affect different people in drastically different ways, it is up to the person scoring to decide how many points to take away. For example, a character with a temper who becomes incapable of functioning when angry should have many points subtracted, while one with the same weakness who becomes violent and determined in similar circumstances should have few points deducted. The tabulator should consider how the characters weakness effects their ability to use their powers, act they way they would like to, exert influence over others, function regularly, and anything else of relevance.

Kill off or Depower era 2 characters. For those who want to continue using their characters. We also need to finish the Release of Voidus plot.
-
See voidus' post above. You can use any excess investiture points in skills, but not vice versa.

What was the final say on my amoeba character? How much do I subtract for his weakness.

First off, welcome to the RP! we are glad to have you. Secondly, Sorry if this post sounds rude, I'm not the best at phrasing things through writing. Thirdly, I am not the person who approves characters, that's @Archer, but here are a few things that I have noticed. Note that I am using an Index that has yet to be finalized to judge these sheets. First off, your character is cool, and the backstory interesting. Good job with coming up with those. But I do think that there is a few issues with the amount of power that they have. If we use Archers index for character evaluation, the total powers that they have add up to 110. (F-Zinc and second ideal radiant). If you also add in the skills that they have, it bumps it up higher. The skills are currently on grade, and it depends on how much training they have. If they are amateurs there are different point values than if they are masters. Considering that the current limit for Era 3 is 100, I think that could pose an issue. Finally, correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure that Radiants don't get a blade until they reach their third oath, which poses an issue because then you couldn't use one. Now the weakness definitely lowers that down. And if you really RP it, it could definitely make your character acceptable. However, if you sidestep it or make it nearly nonexistent, then your character may be a bit too strong for Era 3. I will note that the Index isn't yet finalized, and is still undergoing revision. So its very possible that your character isn't OP. Archer will make the final call on your character, im just offering a few pointers. Your character is also cool. I like his progression in his backstory. Again, what I say is only a few initial thoughts, and Archer gets the final say on everything. I think that your character also may be too powerful. You never mention which oath they are at, but you say they have a shardblade, which implies that they are at the third oath. That alone takes up all 100 points in the index. Forgery adds another 60 points. Assuming that we use the index again for the nightwatcher, at minimum we are adding 70 points. We could be adding up to 120 though. I'm not sure how to count that. I think that his skills also raise that higher, assuming only a few months of training for both melee weapons and ranged weapons, that adds another 50 points. I think that there is another realmatic issue, and that is that no one without MaiPon(?) ancestry can forge. Like all selish magics you can only use them when you are from that area. Now as to the weakness'. The nightwatcher is supposed to include the weakness in its ranking. And the other weakness, is very disturbed by innocents being killed, is kind of inherent in the oaths of the KR's. So I'm not sure how to count them. I will say that I think that there needs to be at least one other that's not included in some format.

Mack turned around and saw Alum facing the Barrier. Whatever else happened was useless if this next part didn't go through, and the armless freak and the Monk were threatening to stop it. Pulling out he wand he tried to get a clear shot, but but because he needed to avoid the Ghostbloods, and the large distance between them, he couldn't get one. He needed more power. Something beyond what his feeble wand could use. He began counting heartbeats as he tried to summon his last toy. 1... 2... 3... He jumped to the side as a Dakhor monk tried to attack him, Storm it, only a few more seconds. 4... 5... The Dakhor turned around and tried to grab him, but Mack slipped to the side. 6... I need to end this quickly, he thought as stood watching the Dakhor. 7... Maybe this Dakhor will be the first to see its power. 8... Instead of dodging, Mack tapped his Aon Ien as the Dakhor lunged at him. 9... He grinned as he was tackled to the ground. 10... "Long Live the Queen," he whispered as he struggled with the monk on the ground. The temperature of the air fell by a few degrees as a Blade made of Ice fell into Mack's hand. Created by the Queen herself, this blade was like an honorblade, but instead of giving access to the surges, it gave him access to the power of Queen Elsa Steelheart herself. Swiping the blade through the Dakhor monk laying on top of him, he pushed the corpse off and stood up. Swinging it through the Air, he tested it out. A few frozen ghostbloods later, he knew it worked. Then he positioned himself to shoot a bolt of ice at the Monk across the way.

I think that the equipment section of the index should be about what they are currently using. EDIT: @Archer the point cap will definitely need to be improved, if only because the nature of the system has changed. When you set the 100 point cap, you intended it to only be for investiture, to see if a character is OP. We didn’t take into account the fact that characters are more than their investitures, and then we added all this stuff with out raising the bar. My point is that you can have a pretty decent KR, who wouldn’t be OP. But as soon as you say that they were a soldier and are skilled in hand to hand combat, they are OP. That doesn’t seem right to me. My idea would be to have multiple scales. Let’s say you can put 100 points into investiture, another 100 into the amount of skills they can have in a given area, and and a few more for gear that they could have on them at a given moment.

Makes sense. The question is, how would we quantify having the intelligence of the smartest people from several universes put in your body?
-
I'm slightly concerned about the values given to intelligence and scholarship, because it kind of ignores the power of knowledge. Like, Mack could take all he's learned in centuries, stick it in a book, and then anyone who is good at the AonDor could replicate what he's done without having to spend additional points. I would like there to be someway to measure how much people know of a given thing, or just in general, to use as a metric for measuring OP'ness, because a lot of the time, knowledge is power.

True. I think that voidus would be the grandpa, with Queen Elsa Steelheart in the same generation. With me, archer, tess, lopen, nohadon, kidpen, Reppad. Rd, and all those guys who were on before the Rules of warfare thread making up the second gen. Then we come to the next gen which I think would be those who joined during Era 1. Finally, the newest generation would be those who joined during Era 2.

I'm one of the 3 sons actually. I was around before either of them. I'm the oldest son that no one remembers.

Or law. They know I was involved with a court case or two. But they are pretty sure what I'm doing is legal. EDIT: All they know is that I work for grandpa's old company.
