I think that so long as they had a debilitating weakness or something holding them back from fighting, that should be allowed. What do you say @Archer? Its for in RP leaders of the Keepers guild, so like the Synod.

Mack relaxed, "Ok you are not a heretic." Turning to walker he said "Thanks for the Nog, but I have my own special mixture. Also, I don't drink alcohol." He pulled out an aluminum flask and his Aon wand. Spinning a few segments, his configured the Aons to run a special program. One that had taken years to perfect. One that was possibly the most important Aon program ever. One that turned the Dor into Eggnog. He pressed the Aon and the silvery wand shone with light as the milky liquid filled the flask. When it was full, he took a long drink. "Perfection."

Mack stopped grinning. "Wait, I have a very important question. Do you like Eggnog?"

Mack breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't sure if it was that talking to an Epic made him nervous, or that he was happy that Melody wasn't anxious, but it didn't matter. It had worked! Last time he tried that he pulled out the wrong card and blew up the room!. "That's good. So, what were we talking about? The alleyverse. That's right. Did my brief explanation help?"

Mack placed the metal plate on Melody's arm and pressed the Aon Omi on it. Immediately it began to glow a pure white light that made everyone feel a strong sense of peace. "There, isn't that better?" Mac groaned when he saw the white light. Dang Aon Omi. Making it difficult to hate people. He pulled out a spike and stabbed himself in the leg, causing him to shrink a little. He then stood in Dusk's shadow so the light wouldn't touch him, and thus his emotions.

Mac continued to address Dusk as if the conversation with the side table wasn't happening. "Hmmm. I could see that. But something tells me that the collapse of a major guild would cause more problems then it solves. A civil war among assassins can have a lot of side effects. Shouldn't we try to keep them together of we are going to act for the greater good?" Mack looked at the poor girl. He pulled out a metal sheet with an Aon on it. "This might help, I will need to place it on you and touch the symbol for it to work, is that alright?"

Mack looked at melody with new eyes. "Guys, lets give the girl some space, she doesn't look alright." He wasn't sure if she was sick, or ready to attack them all. He reached inside his robe to grab his wand and his Aon Plate just in case.

Mack turned to look at Dusk and yelled, "You call that an achievement? I made the equivalent of billions of chrysts and power something that uses as much power as four or five cities with a single Aon program!"

@Furamirionind you are welcome. I would object to having a chancellor elected from the reps. I would say that the chancellor should be elected by the people in a public vote. They shouldn't be a part of any guild, and get a normal vote, but whatever side they are on wins in the event of a tie. This way they represent the general public of the alleyverse, if we ever have any.

Perfect. Thank you.

"Most of what I know comes from the Other Mac, but this is the general gist, with heavy abridgment. In the beginning Voidus made the DA to experiment with hemalurgy. He created the alleys as a way for the different branches of the organization to interact and share research. The alleys are inter-dimensional pathways that connect to alleys in various universes. The limit on what an alley is, is very loose. Some of them are as wide as star systems. Eventually guilds started forming between people who resided in the alleyverse but weren't part of the DA. The currently oldest standing guild, besides the DA, is the New Cago court, of which I am a proud member. Other guilds include TUBA, a bunch of bakers that don't use spikes, the Ghostbloods, who are assassins, and the Craftsmen, a bunch of inventors. There are a whole lot of guilds out there, most of which are pretty small. Some people don't join guilds, but its generally nice for convenience and protection to join one or the other. Some people to watch out for, uhh at this party, keep an eye on the man in the suit and bowler hat. If he starts concentrating get out of here, last time he was at a party he used his powers or bombard it with asteroids. He is the acting head of the DA while Voidus is away. He is basically a god. Everyone else who is evil and dangerous looks evil. Watch out what you eat, some cookies give magical powers, others steal parts of your soul, and some are probably poisoned by the Ghostbloods. Others are boring regular cookies. I think that thats everything that you need for now, any questions?" Mac looked at dusk. "But don't you run a military guild? Guilds like those don't prosper in times of peace my friend."

I can also add in Q's. And once I figure out how to spell mac phonetically in other languages, well then the possibilities are truly endless.
-
Of course. Also, I may just ask you to keep all of my characters un-named and only the ones I actually use will be named Mac. Also, I can always just start adding on more K's and C's.

Mack turned, and saw dwig there. "Hey Dwig! I haven't seen you in what, years? I think so. My gosh Last time I saw you was back in Era 0!" Turning back to the Epic, he said "Fascinating." He thought for a moment. "I think that the only way that that could have happened is if you entered an aquatic alley and floated here. That's absolutely amazing! The odds of actually surviving that trip are next to nothing! Even when you are awake! You are one lucky girl. But Dang, you are very new. I imagine you are very confused. Do you want a quick run down of the alleyverse?"

Mack's eyes widened. "This is new. You say you killed your self? And then you just woke up in the alleyverse? Doyouknowifyouwereconfirmeddeadorifanthythi- Sorry, I'll slow down with the questions. Would you mind telling me your story?"

"Do you mean in a literal sense, you can't remember anything? Or that you are lost. I can probably help you with both of those, but unsurprisingly they require different methods of help."

Mack approached the girl after the recruiter had left. "Sorry about that, some people have no art when it comes to recruiting. I'm not a fan of most of the popular guilds these days. They spend all their time killing people. Or baking spikeless cookies. Or lurking in dark alleys. Anyway, lets leave politics behind. How long have you been in the alleyverse? You must be relatively new here, but then again I've been in seclusion for the past few months." He subconsciously reached up and fingered a pendant hanging around his neck.

Quick lore correction, TLR didn't give the inquisitors compounding. He actively kept it from them so that no one could rise up against him with knowledge of compounding. Besides, he didn't know about any feruchemists, he thought he had removed it from the terris population. It was Ruin who gave the inquisitors compounding.

So this is currently where I think we are with the government. There is an official census that determines how many people are a part of each guild. After the census is taken, there is an official number of people that each guild has. If that number is equal or greater than five, then that guild is a great guild. If there is less than 5 but more than or equal to 2 members, they are considered a normal guild. If there is 1 or 0 members of that guild according to the official census, they are not counted as a guild for purposes of the government. The government consists of one legislature that is in charge of making and passing laws. If you are a great guild you automatically have a seat and can insert a representative into the government. There are an equal number of great guild seats and normal guild seats, no matter how many normal guilds are registered. I personally think that the normal guilds should hold a vote among themselves to determine which ones get to put representatives into the seats. Regardless, there is some way that we decide which normal guilds get to put reps into the government. Once the legislature is formed, they can make laws and other governmenty stuff. The DA is not a part of the government. And neither GUESS Nor the precursors will have spots in the government. The Newcago court will send an ambassador to the government to address issues regarding the court. Once the government is formed, they need to determine a code of laws, and I think they should determine each guilds boundaries, either within the city or in a larger sense of the entire alleyverse. Here is the official census results as of now. There are still a lot of people who need to PM archer about where they fall in this. If you have not, please do so. TUBA: Xinoehp, Axelius, Karnatheon, Bitbitio, Silva, Steel Inquisitive Ghostbloods: Sorana, Itiah, AonEne, Life&Death, Gancho Libre, BooksBeforeDeath Dark Alley: Kenod The Keepers: Furamirionind, Ark1002, ookla the palindrome The Craftsmen: Mac, Meta The Black Crusade: Darth, Grey Knight The Gilded Rose: Ookla the Meeker The Diagramists: King Taravangian @Furamirionind is that everything?

Mack approached in his robe. His elantrians skin making a stark contrast with the black and gold. He felt naked with out his suit, but showing up to a party in armor was generally a bad idea. Especially armor that was essentially a giant weapon. But he wasn’t without help. He had finally figured out what Mac’s old sword had done, and that could certainly help him if it came to a fight. He saw Mac conversing with dusk and some poor girl being interrogated by people trying to get them to join their guilds. What had happened to style? Feeding people cookies with messages or contacting them privately to help them join a resistance? Heck, even he put thought into making sure his recruitment was artful! These guys, they just walked up to them and asked them to join. No style, no theme. Lame. He walked over near the table and picked up some pie, but didn’t eat it. You never knew with baked goods.
