@Archer a few questions and a new character. Can we use Era 3 characters in Era 2? Also, can you change my character Maq's name to Makc? Finally, and this is a more general question for anyone, Would I be allowed to Keep Mac as a character if I could guarentee his utter lack of power outside of DA territory, and possibly within DA territory? (This would be no more alleymatics or one power, or much of anything really. He may retain one power.)

Mack took a step back into the crowds of men drawing from the Dor. He saw water dripping onto the left side of the battlefield, and knew that there was a steadily expanding cloud of carbon dioxide on the other side of the battle field. In fact he could see a few ghostbloods collapsing from asphyxiation already. Hopefully they got Voidus out before the entire battle field died. Reaching inside of his robe he pulled out his latest invention. A pair of nondescript Gloves. He also grabbed his wand out of his pocket as well. Finally, he ran a finger along his armband, activating his Aon programs there. Those increased his speed, durability, strength, and reflexes. Pointing his wand at the on coming ghostbloods, he took aim and pressed the Aon Daa. It launched a burst of energy straight at the oncoming forces, blowing one man back and knocking over two others. Looking around him at the Selish people, he realized that they needed some form of protection. He pulled another sheet of metal out and tossed it onto the ground in the middle of the crowd. Slowly an Aon Edo shield rose around them. It should collect at least 3/4ths of the Dor Users. Mack spun and shot another GB in the back with an Aon Daa. He moved his Wand back into his robe, and snapped his fingers. His middle finger on his right hand, and his index on his left. With a flash of light, a beam of pure Dor came out of his right glove in the shape of a sword, and a shield of the same light appeared around his left Arm. He wasn't a warrior, but he had minor training with Laser swords/shields. He spun around and accidentally blocked an incoming knife from a ghostblood just in time. Realizing that he couldn't stand and marvel at his luck, he quickly countered with the sword, cleanly slicing the arm off of the ghostblood who attacked him.

main plot The Metamorphosis: Rise of Villainry
MacThorstenson replied to Lord Meeker's topic in The Alleyverse
Mac sat in the back and carefully pulled a spike out of his suit and idly wedged it in between his ribs. Now he could croak like a frog, and chirp like cricket. AT THE SAME TIME! How exciting. Refocusing back on the wedding, Mac looked around the audience. If something was going to go wrong, now was the time that it was going to happen. Very rarely did people interfere after this moment. He drew on a little sliver of the one power, ready to react should anyone try to stop the ceremony.- 571 replies

main plot The Metamorphosis: Rise of Villainry
MacThorstenson replied to Lord Meeker's topic in The Alleyverse
Mac carefully picked his way through the streets of the alleycity. He was invited to a wedding! And he had an excuse to avoid releasing voidus. That was always a plus. It’s not that he didn’t like voidus, it’s just that Mac hadn’t released him as soon as he found out that the big man was trapped. He was definitely going to face some repercussions for that, and considering that voidus was the only person who could actually kill him, Mac had a few ideas about what those consequences would entail. He arrived in the back of the building, and sat down carefully in the back of the room. Hopefully the wedding wouldn’t end in disaster.- 571 replies

Alas, we are trying to remove overpowered edge lords from the RP. It makes RPing as a DA member hard, but we will sort it out.

Mack walked in nondescriptly from the back. Alum had wanted him here to draw the Dor away from the portal. That he could do, quite easily in fact. His usual job was to find ways to use less Dor without suffering any loss in function. That was difficult. This, this was easy. Just try to waste the Dor away. Never mind that it was probably easier to destroy the infrastructure that kept the Dor in the alleyverse, or better yet have Mac open the Barrier with his admin access. Those didn’t make good plots. So here we are. A pair of mines walked in to fix the whole in the wall. Mack carefully removed plates from his pocket. He had 6 or 7 with him, but base was one quick teleport away. There he has laser cutters printing thousands of these things. Each plate was inscribed with a complicated Aon equation that was rediculously inefficient, and was set on a loop. Some of them created objects out of air, by directing each individual atom to move in a specific direction. Others took the Dor and turned it directly into objects. Each one had a unique effect, but followed the same pattern, making for relatively easy mass production. Tapping the first one, he slid it into a spot in an alley. After a 10 minute delay, it would start producing one gallon of water per minute out of the surrounding materials. First it would try to use Oxygen and Hydrogen. Once it ran out of those, production would slow down a little as it started to use nuclear fusion and fission to make hydrogen and oxygen to produce water. He tapped the second and third ones, and put them next to the first one. They drew directly from the Dor and produced hydrogen and oxygen in a 2 to 1 ratio. These should balance out and be consumed directly by the first plate. If not then people were in for a treat. They would either have a giant windstorm, or nuclear fusion on their hands. Or a flood of everything went perfectly. The fourth fifth and sixth pads did something similar to the first three, but with carbon dioxide instead. With one of these producing a steady stream of water, and the other producing an unbreathsble gas, And both being well hidden and secret, these ghostbloods would need a lot of skill to find them and dismantle them. He hid the second set on the other side of the barrier. Then made his way to the top of a building near by. He placed the 7th pad on the ground and tapped it. It immediately began working. This one was instructed to gather the elements around it, teleport it into space, and preform fusion to turn them into gold. Once a suitable amount of gold was created, the gold would form into a giant statue of Mack, and be dropped into the battle field. This should happen about once every hour according to his calculations. Mack then made his way back down to the battle field and stood by alum.

True, but I would point out that if we consider DE and That Book like one would consider the way of kings and the words of radiance, then using characters with cytonic abilities, so long as they are abilities that are explained in DE, shouldn’t be breaking the spoiler rule. Just like how using radiant abilities as described in TWoK wouldn’t break the spoiler rule for TRoD. Regardless of those two points, I would point out that we don’t know the consequences of of using abilities like that, and that can make the abilities rediculously unbalanced. Though I suspect that that was what voidus was suggesting when he said that we don’t know too much about them. Aaaaaaand I realized that I am now arguing against my initial point, so i’ll be quiet.

Ok. Including the ones from Defending Elysium? Or is this what you were referring to?
-
That would be amazing. Archer can you use your mod powers to make that happen?

Hey what opinion do we have on Cytonic characters?

If you can’t say something nice, it may just be best to not say anything at all. Especially on a thread that newcomers may read and may use to determine if this environment is too toxic for them, or if it’s something that they may want to be a part of.

Mack adopted a puzzled look. “I mean, sure you could, but they are redundant. It’s not like having both will grant you greater access to the Dor or anything, but if you want, take both. Besides that, I think you are good. Make some cool stuff. Try not to destroy the world. That’s about it.” Mack quickly glanced at his watch. “Oh would you look at the time. It’s almost Voidus O’clock. I have to go release a diety.” With that, Mack turned around and walked out of the party.

Mack breathed a sigh of relief. This wasn’t like Aondin, No living things. That’s good. He grinned. “We would be glad to have you, So long as you stay away from altering living things directly. I certainly have a few ideas about how we can utilize this already.” He reached out to shake Ambrosias hand. “Unfortunately you will encounter a few issues when it comes to utilizing out tech, due to most of it being Aonic. You can either use this spike, which gives you a little bit of my identity, or tap this metalmind. Either of these will make it seem like you are an elantrian, and you will be able to use Aons drawn by an elantrian. You won’t be able to draw Aons yourself unfortunately. For that to happen you would need quite a few spikes, which are something that I loath touching.”

Prosthetics. Hmmm. Usually I try to stay out of living things, but this isn’t anything like hemalurgy. “What kind of prosthetics? I try to avoid working with living things, but that’s more in the context of genetic engineering and hemalurgy, not necessarily prosthetics.” @Ark1002

Mack glared at dusk, answering questions intended for other people was rude. Even a recluse like Mack knew that. “We are currently accepting people, though we don’t accept everyone who comes and applies. What do you have to bring to our guild?” @Ark1002

I would suggest not making new threads as introductions. We already have a lot of them as it is. Also, your a part of the Keepers! You’ve definitely joined a guild.
