Should we try to set up a poll to vote on a few specific proposals? It feels like discussion has wrapped up and once vacation starts we won’t be able to get as many replies.

Regarding the data for government, I think we need to finalize which guilds are around before reworking the maps.

But you see, there is no one else on that southern area of the map. But I do think that we need to rework that map. Theres a whole lot of blank space, and cities that were never used,

I think that will largely come into play when we determine the land that each place controls. For both each individual guild and for the republic vs the DA vs the Newcago court. For negotiating prices that need to be paid for damages and the such.

Basically this, but also they should be allowed to petition the government for issues/Tresspasses that concern them. They shouldn’t ever get a say in how the government runs, but if the court ever has an issue that it needs to bring up, then it will, and can address the government if the need arises. They can negotiate treaties and various other things with the government as well.

I think that other RPs are too different. Also why would they get a say in our government? Also, @Furamirionind, I was thinking that the newcago court wouldn’t get a seat because it wouldn’t be under the control of the congress. The public seat should still exists, but similarly to how other countries have embassies and ambassadors in the US, the court would have an embassy and ambassador in this republic.

I would repeat my previous point, and say that the court is confirmed to be in the same RP as the DA and thus the rest of the alleyverse.

Basically that, but it is acknowledged that the court takes place in the same place as the DA.

I was wondering if my character, Mack, could be an ambassador from the newcago court, and still support his own guild. I don’t think that the newcago court wouldn’t be under control of this government as it has its own monarch.

I’m going to be going for the craftsmen. The DA doesn’t have a say, so there is no conflict of interest.

I mean if you got more than one person to be counted under it I think it would be able to run for representation.

I think that having them all the same would be fine. And maybe we only have the minor guilds elect people to the minor guild spots in the government. Because great guilds are guaranteed a spot, I think giving the minor guilds the opportunity to figure out which ones among them should be in the government is a good idea.

So for which guilds are which, I think that the bare minimum a guild needs to have is 2. At that level they can be in the government. At a yet to be determined higher number, they are counted as a great guild.

Obviously I can't speak for the rest DA in this, but I would prefer to negotiate an exposition treaty in Character, once the government is formed.

I heavily object to the DA having a lawless area. The DA is always governed by laws. The laws of SCIENCE!

One quick question about the palindrome model, so the minor house is filled from reps from different non great house guilds? the public seat is pure democracy? Finally, we need to bang out what qualifies a guild to be great. I think that people should first PM a mod about which guild they want to be counted for. Once we have those numbers the mods can share them with no names attached and then we determine the cut off for great guild. Heres a quick question, do you think that people should be able to switch which guild they are accounted for on a moments notice? Also, if they are, and that ends up bumping a guild out of great guild status, what should happen to the corresponding minor guild seat. Finally, how often are elections?

Aha! We do indeed have a currency! It is called chrysts, or crysts. Its never used and no one keeps track of how much they have, so it’s kind of useless.

I think that it shouldn't be put to the popular vote, that gives way too much power to the great guilds. Instead I think that the chancellor should be another member of the great guild chamber that is elected by the normal guild chamber.

I think that we need to be careful for this one. I think that the mods should conduct the census, and then everyone PM a mod with what guilds they want to be counted for. This will allow some level of secrecy and allow people to not be ousted as spies. I'm working on creating a list of all the guilds and players. Not counting the ones who just added their characters in the thread.
