  1. But another Avatar killed the mimes and disposed of their bodies. All was still silent however.
  2. But of course, Sudiov has a terrible sense of humor.
  3. Sudiov is limiting the power of the people in the RP, keeping them at 100 points. The Asha'man mime is swarmed with darkness as his power is limited and destroyed. EDIT: Don't you dare try to tell me that a combatant character who can use balefire is under 100 points.
  4. "Note that we did read the accords and know that actually that sentence is false. Not every guild who was present gets a seat. Secondly, the meeting was supposed to start at 7:30 ACT, two days ago. No one showed up. For the last two days. One would think that people would show up to the first meeting of the government. It says so in the OP." The guards stepped into the Hallway to stop the mimes from entering.
  5. Ok, that puts it at more than 50, and less than 140. The whole radiant section of the list needs serious reworking. EDIT: May not get to it tonight, but I will rework this.
  6. Stormlight also powers fabrials. But you do have a point. True. I suppose the issue is now, which radients do we want to allow at third oath? If all of them, then I'll get doing some math. I think windrunners will stay at 100 though. EDIT: Stormlight healing works just as well as gold healing right? Should it be ranked roughly similar to a gold ferring?
  7. "Hmm. Well if only the rules you read off were real. Then they might have some bearing. Secondly, these guys represent the DA's vote in the Theocracy. They aren't the general public. Finally, if people actually cared about the government, they would show up to run it. But no one has in the last two days. If the guilds cared about the Oasis accords then they would have come to support them."
  8. We could just label them all 35 points and be done with it. If that's not satisfactory, then I would be willing to put in the effort, but I don't think that each radiant should have the same value. Each radiant isn't necessarily the same in terms of investiture or combat or other things. If we want them all to be 100 thats fine, and I'll try to figure something out that works, but I think that saying that third oath radients aren't all equal.
  9. Well, what remained of the DA delegation raised their hands. Then they got their compatriots to come back in.
  10. Makc and Mackc ran over to Maq to stop him from smashing rocks long enough to look around. Makc softly spoke to him, with the music stopping as soon as he started. "Dude, we are at a wedding stop with the science." Maq looked around, "But I am this close to a breakthrough, just let me- wait a second, that persons interesting." He dropped the rock and pushed through the other Mc's in pursuit of the weird spirit web he had seen. Unfortunately he walked into a table that he couldn't see. Then tripped on a rock. Finally, he made it to where the girl was sitting. With the other Mc's close behind. "Hello, I'm Maq," He said, introducing himself. Pointing to his companions and the petri dish, he said "This is Mackc, Makc, and Makck. Your spiritweb is incredibly unique, what exactly is going on with that?" @Le Sigh
  11. Ok, I was using the area underneath the scadrial heading that listed the spike values. Those should be consistent. As an aside, I feel like if you add up the values for fabrials for a specific order, and a shardblade, you should get the value for a third oath radient. ( the benifets of stormlight breathing would be canceled out with the restrictions for oaths)
  12. “Well the oasis accords list no such minimum guild requirement. And none of the other guilds are here, so none of them get a say. You don’t even belong to a guild, so you don’t get a say either.”
  13. "Yes we've read the rules. We are a guild. We have the required number of members, and no other guilds showed up for the session. So we are taking charge. If you aren't present, you don't get a vote."
  14. "Believe that no one showed up to run the government. So we fixed the issue. And are now in charge."
  15. "OK, so now we are moving to turn the government into a theocracy that worships Voidus. I will be the temporary high priest until we can sort out our theology. All in favor please raise their hand." The DA delegation raised their hands. "Well good. We don't need you guys anymore." The lawyers compared notes making sure that the takeover was legal. They gave the thumbs up and the rest of the delegation left except for 2 DA inquisitors.
  16. An embassy of DA lawyers and political leaders walked into the room. Now that they outnumbered the other people in the room, they began conducting the meeting. "Well, it appears that the other guilds haven't shown up to this meeting. Considering that they clearly don't care about the government, I think that we should ban them from participating. Let's put it to a vote." The DA representatives all raised their hand. "Ok, the DA gets 2 seats because we are clearly a great guild. We constitute over half of the guilds represented. The motion is passed."
  17. Mack felt the eyes of the court on him, and saw that Voidus was leaving. He steeled his nerves and stood up. Turning to the Queen he said, "Sorry about that. Last time I was in the court with Voidus he spiked someone else's soul onto mine, making me lose control for a few months. Unfortunate memories and all of that. I am sorry, hopefully it won't happen again. Hello Stranger! It's been awhile since you frequented these parts. If I have a say in it, the court will try to make sure that our allies, the DA, will remain our allies in the coming days."
  18. I want to say that is this is a really cool and different character concept. And something that I think the RP should be supporting, but that the index isn't built for. There is a lot of mismatching of abilities and combinations that we didn't plan on, and I don't think that we can easily say that this is a normal radiant, and we need to look at each aspect of the powers. I didn't change anything about the bolded parts in the quotes by the way. The bolded comments are just arches stuff. First thing I want to ask about the radiancy is this, is she getting access to the normal benefits of the surges as well as the non canon ones? Second, can she still draw stormlight normally? Third, does her spren only appear as a shard gun, or also as a shardblade? If the answer to all three of those questions is yes, then she should be a little above 100. If not, then we need to relook at the scoring, because it will depend on her powers specifically. This one is in debate, but still im confused. @Archer how did you get 110 for the hemalurgy? F-steel is worth 50 points, F-pewter is 40. -5 for each of the spikes, that should be 80. The stormlight thing could very well be offset by saying that she couldn't draw stormlight in at all. Removing all the benefits from that, and some. I agree with the rating on the weaknesses. This could be a weakness as mentioned above. If it can only be a shardgun and not a blade, spear, or shield then I think some points should be docked. Other than that I agree is balances out at 0. I will say that we did as a community agree that time traveling is a no. I forgot about this when I made my earlier post, but we did say that time traveling is not allowed for a variety of reasons. I think you could have it in your past, or just say that there is something weird about her ability in terms of the alleyverse (like she can't use it here), but I don't think that we can allow that to happen in RP. Talked about that earlier. This is something that needs to be talked about. Is the surge of transportation essentially teleportation for her (and time travel)? If so I think that it may be a bit on the strong side. Teleportation at will is pretty powerful. In canon, people with the surge of transportation have only been shown to access shadesmar, not teleport. I understand the part about the surge of progression being used to fix universes, and agree with your comments on that. But what does it mean about transporting people through time fast or slowly? Finally, are these abilities on top of the normal surge's uses? Or do they replace them. In conclusion, @Le Sigh I think this is a really cool character concept, and that we should try to get it to work. But right now it needs a little bit more definition. EDIT: @Voidus I think that the hemalurgic spikes could be changed to make the lack of stormlight happen. In addition to the spiritual stapling that goes on with hemalurgy, the body/spirit is warped. I could see something like her access to breathing in stormlight is switched from the physical realm, to just the spiritual realm.
  19. I can think of a lot of a lot of Spikable traits that add next to nothing in terms of points. As for the time travel, I think that it should be allowed so long as they don’t abuse it, and by that I mean two general things. The first is using it during combat, the second is using it to change the plot and thus players actions. Those are the two big ones that I can think of right now. I think as a method to access different time periods it could be cool, and add an interesting aspect to the character. But I don’t know what the rest of community thinks. EDIT: You could have a spike for specific connection with one random person. You could let yourself croak like a frog, or chirp like a cricket. You could spike different mental disorders, like paranoia or OCD things. You could spike a love of a specific type of cookie.
  20. Makc started clapping as soon as everyone else did, then promptly turned to go get Maq. The idiot was still smashing rocks with spikes. Maq was just salty that his physical impediment prevented him from harnessing the spirit webs of rocks. If only he had been able to see, then he could map out the bindpoints of these pebbles and begin creating his masterpiece.
  21. Thats awesome! Welcome to the Shard! Here's a complimentary cookie! Have you read all the cosmere books? Or just the Stormlight Archive!
  22. "Huh." Questions flooded Mac's mind about the nature of Voidmaking, why would feeding physical objects take less effort than investiture? Aren't they just throwing stuff into the void? But there wasn't time for that right now. Now he had Voidus' attention and needed to Voidmake. He tried to refocus on the ball and feel the same hatred that he felt earlier, but it was more difficult this time. The hatred was still there, but he didn't feel the same desire to remove the ball from existence. He doubled down, trying to recapture the same hatred, the same willpower, that he had before. This ball is failure. It is me and my apathy. My fear of death. It MUST BE GONE! With that mental shout he pulled the ball into the void, trying to remove it from existence as quickly as he could while he still had the will power. He gave it his all, and forced everything about the ball- its physical, cognitive, and spiritual aspects - into the void. The ball became void. A small point of darkness surrounded the ball. Turning the area darker as it slowly absorbed all the ball. It still wasn't disappearing fast enough. What was happening? Mac pushed harder and harder, but it felt like he was just climbing up a hill that got steeper and steeper. The longer he went, the less was getting done, and worse the less he wanted to do. He just wanted to give up. NO! he needed to do this, he needed to prove that he could do this, that he was still strong. But nothing was being done. The darkness was fading, the ball wasn't disappearing what was happening? Mac still hated the ball, but there was no willpower. It was gone. "I can't do it anymore," He whispered, "I failed." He gave it one last push, and then stopped. "Why do I feel like this? This emptiness." It was more than a loss of will. It felt like a bit of his soul was missing. There wasn't anything there, just the void. Nothingness. His eyes widened with fear. "What's happening? Voidus? " He started to grow cold. It was like he had fed a bit of his soul to the ball. His senses dulled, and his movements became sluggish. It was like being a drab, but very extreme. "What is this?" There wasn't any room for fear, of death or failure. The only emotion he could muster was a little passive curiosity.
  23. I would prefer it if we tried to keep exception characters to an absolute minimum. If the rest of the people support it, I won’t be Mad, but I would prefer it if exception characters weren’t that common.
