  1. And, in case you all hadn't heard yet... Brandon Mull was at Salt Lake Comic Con: The Fan X-perience for a while on Saturday, and he talked about his upcoming projects in his highlight panel. His next release will be the first book in the Dragonwatch series, which is a followup to Fablehaven that will take place a few months after the end of Keys to the Demon Prison. That's coming out in spring 2017. (It was originally slated for fall 2016, but it had to get pushed back so Brandon could do the awesome job on it that he wanted to.) Then in fall 2017 we'll be getting Five Kingdoms #5, which will be the conclusion to that series. Also, how many of you guys have read both Beyonders and the first three Five Kingdoms?
  2. When you try to talk yourself out of using Sanderson profanity in texts to your non-Sanderfan family members.
  3. Any updates on this? I just tried uploading one of my fanarts again and it still says it needs to be approved before it'll be visible.
  4. Currently about halfway through Charlie Pulsipher's The Crystal Bridge, which I bought at LTUE because I can't say no to an author trying to sell me their book at a convention... XD
  5. I didn't realize it either; I just thought people were using Sanderson profanity because it's the Sanderson fansite... Now I have to stop myself from using Sanderson profanity in real life around people who wouldn't understand it. XD
  6. No, I just meant that once you start acting childish, then the rest of us have the right to treat you like a child.
  7. Granted. Now the downvote button is where the upvote button used to be, so you downvote by accident even more frequently. I wish all my homework for the rest of the semester was done.
  8. Although both of them have accomplished other things, they're both known almost solely for "that one thing". ("MORE COWBELL" for Walken, and the assassination at the beginning of WoK for Szeth) Saturdays are like highstorms.
  9. Googled "Falstaff" and this came up:
  10. On this topic, I think Kevin Hearne does a good job of portraying religion in his Iron Druid Chronicles. In that series, ALL the religions/mythologies are true, and ALL the various associated deities and mythological figures exist--a fact which does invalidate any one individual's belief. The main character, Atticus, being a druid, is a pagan, but he has friendly interactions with the Virgin Mary, Jesus, Coyote of the Navajo belief system, and the Hindu goddess Durga, among others.
  11. Well, until they start acting childish. ;P
  12. Titration... reaction?

  14. Yes! You can never have enough Brandons! (So let's not forget the illustrator Brandon Dorman ) I first started reading Mr. Mull's books when the Fablehaven books were still being released after someone gave me the first one as a birthday gift. They are still some of my favorites, and I also dearly love the Beyonders trilogy. I've been reading the Five Kingdoms books as they've been released and enjoying them, though perhaps not as much as Fablehaven or the Beyonders. I might change my mind about that once the series is finished, though, since Mull has promised that each book will be more exciting than the last.
  15. I love Sherlock--the Doyle canon, the RDJ movies, and the BBC show. Waiting for more from the BBC is sooooo agonizing, though. On a related note, the Conan Doyle estate hired the author Anthony Horowitz to write some new Holmes canon in recent years. He's written two novels so far: The House of Silk and Moriarty. All I can really say about the latter of these without utterly spoiling it is that it's especially relevant to recent events in the BBC series.
  16. Yes! Thank you so much! *showers Chaos with flower petals* I've uploaded my fanart to the Reckoners gallery and it says it's just awaiting moderation now.

    Mizzy Colored Pencil

After realizing that my portfolio of portraits contained only male characters, I decided to draw Mizzy, the most bubbly Reckoner. Original size: 9x12 inches.

  20. =o I'm going to Fan-X too! Just as a fan, though.
  21. For being a fan of Darths and Droids, if your member title is anything to judge by.
  22. I had someone else specific in mind. I'm pretty sure I've never met you in person.
  23. I read Mystic and quite enjoyed it.
  24. I seem to recall there is someone on the board who is currently 12... I've met her in person, though, and she looks more mature than that.
