So I raised the question in this topic about where Reckoners fanart should be uploaded to the Gallery and noticed today that there is now a category for it. BUT it is not letting me upload my art to that category. When I go to upload and am told to choose a category, my choices look like this: I cannot select either the Reckoners category or the General Art category. Clicking on the image next to the category name just brings me to the archive of other art that has already been uploaded there. Does anyone know if there is a legit reason for this or if it is just a glitch that nobody's found until now?

I watched Contact once and remember thinking it was pretty profound. As for Interstellar, my parents saw it and said they found it simultaneously boring and depressing, so I haven't bothered with it since we generally share tastes in movies.

Finished the rest of Staked today and started on Night Owls, a book I heard about through BookBub. I'm about 20% in and haven't formed a definite opinion of it yet.

I used to have a cat who would get obsessed over my shoes and my mom's after we'd gone outside, come back in, and taken them off. He was indoor cat, so the only time he got to go outside was when we supervised him, and he would go and rub his face all over our shoes, rolling on them like they were catnip and drooling all over them. He drooled whenever we got him purring too hard, too. He was a super friendly cat and loved sitting on our laps while we watched movies on the couch, especially if we draped a blanket over our legs, so "purring too hard" happened often.

I ended up only finishing 2 out of the 3 novellas in "Three Slices" because I couldn't stand the immediate crassness in the last one, the one by Chuck Wendig. *adds Chuck Wendig to mental blacklist of authors I have no desire to ever read* I managed to work out a method by which I was able to read on my Kindle while working (albeit at a slower pace than I can when I'm undisturbed), so I've devoured 70% of "Staked," the latest Iron Druid book, today.

I haven't figured out how to upload pictures directly from my computer to the forums, either, but you can also use an image hosting site such as photobucket.com or tinypic.com to upload the pictures there first and then copy the BBCode that those sites provide into your forum post.

Although I like how the name Phoenix ties into her reincarnation ability, I think the phoenix's association with rebirth from flames, specifically, clashes with the fact that fire is Megan's weakness rather than a source of renewal for her. Not to say that I have a better suggestion at the moment. This is something I'll have to think about...

Based on Megan's expressed desires for a normal life, I think we can reasonably expect that she would want to have kids as part of that.
