That's sort of what I was going for--or concerned, maybe. I just didn't want his expression to be blank and boring like some of my previous portraits have turned out.
  2. I can never resist taking people's typos literally in order to make jokes. And yes, I meant "narrow" in the grand scheme of the scale of the entire globe. Size is all relative. I'm curious as to why you want to drop atomic bombs on it, though.
  3. Sheep, these are all GORGEOUS, but my favorite serious one is "Honor Is Dead" and my favorite silly one is "Arena Groupies." I totally cracked up at the look on Adolin's face when he realized what had just hit him in the face. XD
  4. Granted. Your bane from your mecha wish is that the mecha become sentient and turn into SkyNet. Your bane from wishing to know your mecha bane is that you now live in the SkyNetMecha-dominated Cosmere. I wish for 5 boxes of Tagalongs. (Peanut butter Girl Scout cookies)
  5. I assume by "Bearing Strait" you mean a narrow channel of water inhabited by aquatic bears? That sounds interesting.
  6. Kaymyth, I can't in good conscience upvote your story about 2003 because it is awfully sad, but I commend you for not putting up with crem from CJ's biological father. Some people are just toxic, and he sounds like one of them. To everyone who has shared RPing stories... Keep 'em coming! Ever since I discovered the webcomic Darths and Droids, I live for this stuff. kaellok, you are a serious badchull if you broke that many tanks. XD
  7. It is! I also really enjoy their Piano Puzzler segment and The Score every Saturday.
  8. I really love Mars from the Planets. Fun fact: the 5/4 rhythm that repeats endlessly in Mars also appears in one of the tracks from the movie soundtrack "The Mask of Zorro."
  9. What I find really hilarious is that the way she delivers her line in this video is basically how she acts in Darths and Droids too--the "valley girl" persona, if you will.
  10. My brother (who, like me, is a student at BYU-Provo) says he knows someone who wants to put on a production of one too. I would TOTALLY pay to see that!
  11. Currently about halfway through Shadow Scale, the sequel to Rachel Hartman's Seraphina. It's been sitting on my shelf for literally a year since I bought it and got it signed. Also working on the third book in Ursula Le Guin's Earthsea series, The Farthest Shore. I'm 60% through with that one. This series has some seriously beautiful prose.
  12. Amazon sells them, both in hardcopy and Kindle versions.
  13. I'm in the middle of reading Darths and Droids's adaptation of Return of the Jedi, and since she appeared in some recent strips I was also like O_O when she turned up in the Rogue One trailer.
  14. "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" from the Lilo & Stitch soundtrack. ^.^

    Hello!

Cool. You're in for an adventure with most of Brandon's books still ahead of you.
  16. My professor for the Early Modern English class I'm taking right now told us that she's going to let us just write sonnets for our final exam instead of having to write sonnets and analyze a passage from the Bible.

  18. If you enjoy Shakespeare parody/spoofs, take a look at William Shakespeare's Star Wars. The author, Ian Doescher, has adapted all six original saga Star Wars movies into five-act Shakespeare plays, complete with iambic pentameter, puns, references to actual Shakespeare plays as well as to modern pop culture, and Elizabethan-style illustrations.
  19. Jim Butcher!! Although I haven't finished reading the entire Codex Alera yet, I would say that the two books I have read are higher quality than some of the Dresden Files books. (I've read all of those that have been released so far.) Not to say that the Dresden Files isn't a great series too, but some books are better than others. (My favorites are Dead Beat, Proven Guilty, Turn Coat, and Skin Game.) I heard him tell the story of how the Dresden Files came to be last year at a convention, but I haven't heard the Codex Alera origin story! I'll have to go find that.
  20. What was this realization you speak of, sonoskay? The existence of the Cosmere?

    Hello!

Wise choice, Eki. Is there anything else you want us to know about you? Which of Brandon's books you've read, what books besides Brandon's you like, your favorite kinds of music...?
  22. They make a lot of noise when you defenestrate them. Hot fudge sundaes are like holey socks.
  23. This post reminds me of this Darths and Droids comic strip.
