  1. It is an interesting idea, but I wonder how many different versions of hatred you can cone up with...
  2. It looks like the Parshendi can bond Voidspren, which is what turns them into Voidbringers. Whether this can happen to humans is unknown though, but I would say its possible, because of this WoB: Now, I know that Unmade and Voidspren are different, but I still think that if an Unmade could bond a human, the Voidspren could too. I doubt Odium requires oaths for Voidbinding though. Since he most likely mind-controls the Voidbinders in some way, he wouldn't want to limit their power with a level-up system. In gaming terms, I think Honors forces (the KR) plays the game from the beginning, and level-up along the way, while Odiums forces (the Voidbinders) hack the game and starts on the highest level. So I doubt oaths exist at all with Voidbinders.
  3. Hello and welcome! Who is your favorite Sanderson character? Also, is there any Sanderson-books you havent read?
  4. Isn't he supposed to be the one who hid the Bands up in the mountains?
  5. Storms, I'll nominate both of you (can I do that?)
  6. Hi fellow swede! I like kebabpizza a lot. Preferably not with too hot sauce though. Favorite Cosmere book is Words of Radiance. Its long, epic, and the content is awesome. Oathbringer might take the no. 1 spot in November though.
  7. Silence, to leave something behind for her daughters. Who would be the best at mathematics, Syl or Pattern?
  8. Why would Dustmother convert you to the Chana = Liss theory? Just curious, because Dustmother doesn't seem to be evidence for or against that theory, in my opinion.
  9. For having an eye-catching username and avatar. Also, I have seen you quite often over at the Cosmere-section.
  10. I think I may be the only person living who doesn't have anything against Jar Jar. He is not that bad.
  11. Who would be the best stand-up comedian, Marsh or Kaladin?
  12. Checking the chapter headings is a very good idea, something I can get behind. Some are obvious, but some are very wierd. I also doubt Chana is an ex. Those are all daughters of important lighteyes. She would have to be adopted in that case. The Liss theory... I guess it is the most likely of the current ones, but I'm not a big supporter either.
  13. I really don't see why a Herald of mankind would become a prostitute in Sadeas warcamp. In that case, I think she isn't in the book.
  14. Lopen. It would impress the ladies. Who would win a swimming contest, Mraize or Amaram?
  15. Welcome! Happy to see that you enjoy Stormlight. Looking forward to Oathbringer I guess?
  16. Hi and welcome! I'm happy to see another Kelsier fan! When it comes to books, the Stormlight Archives (first one is called the Way of Kings) is the best thing Brandon has written, but it is hard to get through in the beginning, and is also quite complicated. Warbreaker is also a good one to read. Try to get to it before you read Stormlight 2. You'll have more fun that way, I promise.
  17. By the way guys, is it just me or is Dalinar kind of ordering the Stormfather around? He feels a bit like Wyndle almost. He says something, Dalinar wants something else and Stormfather grudgingly goes along with it. I almost find Stormfather to be unintentionally funny sometimes.
  18. Don't think that you are better than others because they believe differently (thanks Vivenna). Also, @Rebecca as a fan of Kelsier and Axies, I feel obilged to mention that they too talk about the importance of smiling in face of bad situations, and being optimistic.
  19. Raoden, because he spent the majority of Elantris being hungry. Who would be the best football manager, Sadeas or Ruin?
  20. I agree with both of these. I actually love book Hotah. Its not the actors fault, like you say, its the material (same with Stannis, Stephen Dillane was spot-on casting, but got bad material). The one problem I had with Hotahs actor was the lack of a beard. I have a hard time seeing beardless Hotah.
  21. Is there by the way anyone who thinks that characters are better in the show than the books or vice versa? Here are mine: Better in books: -Stannis: The show took away a lot of his complexity, and made him a fanatic. -Jaime Lannister: He is funnier, and he develops better. In the show he is just Cerseis man for an extremely long time. -Roose Bolton: He feels dangerous in the books, like the Norths version of Tywin. The show makes him look quite weak. Better in show: -Bronn: More screen-time, more great lines. -Beric Dondarrion: Looks incredibly badchull as well as a longer and more fitting storyline. -Tywin Lannister: Guy was great in the books, but Charles Dance is a phenomenal actor who took Tywin to new levels.
  22. Huh, interesting. My guess in that case would be as some sort of cognitive shadow, maybe in the same vein as the Heralds.
  23. I think it has to do with buildup. Adolin murdered Sadeas in the last chapter in WoR in a rather cold-blooded fashion. In this same chapter, the four Radiants gather for a rather hopeful moment. I think the contrast between that and Adolins darker scenes, which ends with him cleaning his tracks and leaving Sadeas corpse behind made people see it in a different light than actions comitted by Jasnah or Shallan.
  24. This is an interesting suggestion which I haven't seen before. This would mean that he is alive/some form of not-dead though, and we would need a feasible explanation for that.
