@Steeldancer this is some real speed :-) Good job, @Snakh! I would give you an upvote, if it wasn't for the fact that I have reached my limit for today.

[OB] Oathbringer chapters 7-9

Where did he say that it was unexpected? -
[OB] Shallan and drawing Urithiru
Toaster Retribution replied to Darkness's topic in Stormlight Archive
I read it so as well. Her sense of unease comes from the fact that she doesn't know it or understand it. She can't even describe it through art, something she can do with literally everything else. -

Heralds. Repeated death, accompanied by sweet torture and chats with Rayse. I believe that Ishar is the author. -
[OB] Oathbringer chapters 7-9
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
Not necessarily. Four pages of theorizing sharders, and few of us picked up on it. Remember: we are super-nerds. Few people analyze Stormlight, remember Death Rattles, and theorize in the way that we do. And we only picked this one up because of the fact that the Death Rattle I mentioned is one of the most discussed ones. -
[OB] Oathbringer chapters 7-9
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
It goes very well along with a Death Rattle. There is no other baby of significance in the story yet. And having Kaladin being put in a situation where he is forced to kill his other brother to save the world would be a great end to Stormlight 5. -
I think he is Ishar. It would make sense for Ishars madness too. He is supposed to be pious and guiding, but instead holds himself up as close to the Almighty, and leads people to what probably is an unnecessary war, just like he (Edgedancer spoilers):

[OB] Oathbringer chapters 7-9
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
This is brilliant. It would go along well with the "Odiums champion is the suckling child from the Death Rattles-theory". It is a great observation, and I think that it has a high likeliness of being true as well. -
[OB] Oathbringer chapters 7-9
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
Okay, my thoughts, without reading other replies: *I liked how Kaladin dealt with the Roshone-situation. Also, Larals behavior was unexpected. Apparently she made the best out of her situation, although I believe that she is more troubled by her marriage than she lets on. *I love how Brandon makes Kaladin realize that Roshone isn't that powerful, or that evil. How perspectives can differ. *Oroden will be important in the back five. *I liked Syls and Kaladins discussion of weapon gender. *Shallan doesn't like Urithiru? Is it because it is so big that she fails to understand it? *Renarin is decidedly wierd. He is more than a Radiant. I am especially thinking about two things. One, does he know that Adolin killed Sadeas? He is supposed to be a Truthwatcher after all, even though I think there is some Odium in there. The other thing is his shock when hearing of Mr. Nineshadow. Renarin defenitely knows more than he lets on. *I would defenitely hire Shallan as a mapmaker. *The second murder. Who did it? Renarin? Mraize/Ghostbloods? Liss? A Herald? *Tezim keeps being mentioned. -
Underrated Characters
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
It was Balat who had a viewpoint, and the aimian is named Axies. I would argue that Axies is a very popular minor character though, so I wouldn't call him underrated. -
Importance of the Chapter Headings
Toaster Retribution replied to Borio Singaldi's topic in Stormlight Archive
To clarify, what I am willing to help with is what @Tesh now volunteered to do by himself. Actual codecracking is something I lack experience and knowledge in, and I doubt anyone wants to waste time teaching me how to.- 50 replies

Stormlight Archive Casting
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Stormlight Archive
@maxal Didn't some other casting thread have Lucas Till as Adolin, whoch I seem to recall that you found at least plausible. Also, some other choices: -Shallan - Sophie Turner -Lin Davar - Brendan Gleeson -Helaran Davar - Domnhall Gleeson :-) -Amaram - Byung-hun Lee And I still think Tom Hiddleston is the best Hoid. -
Importance of the Chapter Headings
Toaster Retribution replied to Borio Singaldi's topic in Stormlight Archive
I don't have the time to do it either... alone. It is an interesting idea though, and would take nerdiness to a new level. If you formed a group of people to team up on this, I would definitely be willing to join and help out. That said, if you are true, we might spoil the entire SA? Is it worth it...?- 50 replies

What are you known for on the Shard?
Toaster Retribution replied to Kestrel's topic in General Discussion
Good point... I feel we need a WoB on this. Can someone please ask Brandon if you can kill a planets cognitive aspect by plotting to murder it with a Shardshovel? Also, to keep the topic on track, you are known for being pretty active in this General Discussion forum. -

Plotting to kill planets actually. I don't think he has gotten to the actual killing yet. -
Never seen it, doubt Sweden has it. Thanks for the explanation :-)

Thanks! Yours too. Is it a Game of Thrones reference? If it isnt, the character Oberyn has the middle-name Nymeros, just so you know why I thought it might be that. Stonewardens would work too. I feel that Dustbringer fits since he is incredibly obedient towards his religion and his superiors among the Sons of Honor. He is most likely brave on the battlefield as well. That said, you have a point about his temperament. I will keep on having it as my main Dustbringer theory until we know more of the Dustbringers though. I like the idea a lot. I do look forward to those chapters, but I will confess that it has more to do with Graves and the Diagram. I hope to be converted to the Moash fan-club too though :-) -
Thanks for the explanation of how squares work :-) I don't really get your Alex reference though. My name is Alexander, but I doubt that is what you are referring to.

You have good points, but I hope we get other important Dusties than Moash. I dont hate him like a lot of people do, but I just find him quite uninteresting. I would much prefer Amaram or Elhokar (both would be good too, if Brandon is reading this). -
Is there any thing in Stormlight you don't like?
Toaster Retribution replied to ICanDream's topic in Stormlight Archive
Oh, why? I love Shallan, so I'd be interested in why she deserves to get Thunderclasted. -

Wait... its Flash! I never realized that you changed username... thought Steeldancer was someone else. Anyway, you are known for inventing the Shardshovel, obviously. -

Dumb Challenges!

Lopen. After receiving his virus, your computer would only show ads for chouta and Herdazian jokes. Who would write the best Cosmere fan-fiction, Aladar or Sebarial?
