  1. The mysterious Mr Copycat who killed the dead guy might strike again. Do we think he/she will? In that case, will we eventually see someone we know get killed? In that case, who? Aladar? Sebarial? Navani? Discuss!
  2. First question: since we don't know how the merge between Honor and Stormfather works, it is hard to say. My answer would be that yes, there needs to be a connection. Stormfather and Honor were probably connected to eachother in some way (my guess is that it has to do with Honors perpendicularity). There are WoBs that Cultivation and Nightwatcher have a relationship similar to the one between Honor and Stormfather, so connection shouldn't be an issue. As for question two, no idea.
  3. If @Calderis is right (which I think he is), the Shamans will still want Jezriens Blade. I think they could have a fair chance at winning, unless Nale shows up. Which I hope happens. #naleredemptionarc2017
  4. Oh, and by the way @Poroner. Welcome to the 17th Shard!
  5. First off, I don't understand why people are downvoting this. It is not meant to be offensive, and is just someone expressing their opinion and asking for ours. As to the question itself, I doubt Brandon is a SJW. Like @Ammanas said, he attempts to see things from a lot of different point of views. He has also been called a homophobe by some real SJWs. Furthermore, in the Era 2 setting, which is supposed to be Earth-like, feminism fits in well, simce it was an important topic during that era of time in our world.
  6. For the Adolin discussion, I'm all with the "he shall be punished"-faction. The Highprinces will not like setting a new precedent for knifing eachother in the eyes. They prefer political games to wrestling. I can also see people argue that Adolin wasn't Highprince when he killed Sadeas, and so he shouldn't be tried as one. And if the Highprinces don't do anything, Dalinar still could, as High King. Furthermore, I can see Aladar being ready to punish Adolin, depending on Dalinars reaction. And he is Highprince of Information, so he might be able to do something. I doubt Adolin will get away.
  7. I firmly believe that reforming Adonalsium is Hoids goal, which is why he opposes Odium (if all the Shards are splintered he will have to pick up a huge mess).
  8. I'll never understand the shipping wars.
  9. @EpsilonTheFirst I'm happy to see how much you liked it! I was throughly floored by the book myself. Truly brilliant stuff. Anyway, the characters who had the best arcs (except Elend) were Sazed and Marsh (in my humble opinion). But the Lord Ruler is a good point, I forgot about him. I hated him when he killed Kelsier, but that book made me like him, so I should probably add him to the list. As for Spook, well, I have to admit that I don't like him much. I just didn't buy him growing so competent so quickly. I can see why some people like him, but he didn't really appeal to me :-( Were you happy with Elends arc this time?
  10. His name is Legolas Teleb. He didn't fall. That is why Dalinar is so impressed. Teleb was good enough with a bow to shoot people on huge distances. But he is no Radiant. He died during the battle of Narak, during which he carried a Shardblade. It would have been screaming if he was a Radiant. And, as said, he is sadly dead. Good thought though.
  11. This is seriously wierd. What if Shallan married Adolin but Syl and Pattern got together? Problems...
  12. Furthermore, we have a plot reason to accept Calderis take on the Oaths. If the Secret Societies like Ghostbloods and the Diagramists are to present threats to Team Kholin, they need Radiants. Otherwise they would get steamrolled very quickly. And since the Societies are morally anbigious, we need morally ambigious Radiants. Hence oaths open for interpretation.
  13. Why would that make him champion of Odium? Furthermore, punishing Adolin will not necessarily make him a hypocrite. Dalinar killed people while at war. Adolin was technically not at war with Sadeas. Yes, it is a technicallity, and yes, Dalinars actions were much worse. But not hypocritical, depending on how you see it. I still think that Adolin will have to be punished in order to make the others see that Dalinar doesn't play favorites, and takes crimes seriously, no matter where they came from.
  14. It is an interesting idea. This would mean that the spren, Listeners and Aimians all die (RIP Axies). While I do think that the Diagram might be human only, I doubt every single non-human individual would perish, as long as Odium still loses.
  15. My guess is that the Urithiru one never is locked. The others are.
  16. @Steeldancer If you want to know what Originator is... (Mistborn Era 1 spoiler):
  17. For having reached insane levels of rep, and also an insane post count. And also, @Mrs. Delightful Ferring I always dig plots.
  18. I think Dalinar killed the boy. He was focused on one thing only, and that was getting Oathbringer. Remember, Dalinar was okay with plundering, with raping. But then he'd stop at killing the son of his enemy to get the Blade? No way. Furthermore, I think someone should have noticed that there were no boy-corpse around. Dalinar was most likely thinking of Navani. They were talking of marriage, after all.
  19. Haha. We look for different things in characters, apparently :-)
  20. If you want to keep the spoilers, you could also write "Oathbringer spoilers" above the spoiler tags. That way, people will know what they are entering into. I agree with you on all three being good characters. Personally, I want to see Adolin being a Radiant, even if I'm not so strongly for or against as others are. I also don't like Syl. I realize that she is a well-written character, but she is just unlikeable to me. She loves to pick on Kaladin for his faults, but rarely acknowledges her own. And she mostly gets away with it too! She feels like a spoilt child sometimes, and is unecessary biased against people.
  21. Experimentation or not, I found the books very good, and the movie terrible. It is good for laughing at with friends, but nothing else. Can't comment on Shannara, since I haven't read the books or seen the show. I heard Manu Bennett was quite good though. As for LotR, I am one of those who thinks that the movies are much better than the books. This I fully agree with. It should be made into a series with Game of Thrones like budget (preferrably even more than that).
  22. I actually thought the same thing for a second, but it is easily disproved. There is a WoB saying that both Adolin and Renarin are legitimate sons of Dalinar.
  23. While it is possible, it isn't that likely, in my opinion. He still seems to focus on the Thaylen culture, referring to Iyatil as his babsk.
  24. I hope we get a Shallan&Ghostbloods chapter next week. I would prefer something Urithiru-focused, since Dalinar, Adolin and Shallan have the most interesting storylines in my opinion. Also, good point on Mr. T having Talns Blade. Its fully possible.
  25. Calamity spoiler:
