So, I got an idea for a new forum game (yay)! It is pretty simple. The first poster posts a question similar to this: "Who would be the best tree climber, Kaladin or Hammond?" The next poster then answers the question and provides a reason as for why one of the mentioned characters would win (the more stupid the better!) Then the poster puts up a new question, with two new (or old) characters, for the next person to answer. So, here goes question: Who would make the best pizza, Vasher or Denth?

Ishars madness is probably related to (Edgedancer spoilers): I also doubt that he works with Taravangian. I just think he might be watching him. -

Game of Thrones/ASoIaF

Haha! Wonder how Stannis would react to secobd breakfast? -
I love Snape. I agree, he is a douche and a bully to his students, and a bad teacher. Im pretty sure that he didn't know that it was the Potters he sold out though. He just told Voldy about the prophecy without knowing who it was about. Voldemort then reached a conclusion on his own and killed them, which is why Snape switched sides in the first place. Also, I don't get how anyone can dislike Lan. The dude is basically Aragorn on steroids.

Game of Thrones/ASoIaF
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Entertainment Discussion
Haven't read Farseer, but this sounds sweet. I'd love to see Wit travelling across fiction and annoying everyone. Come to think of it, Stannis would be hilarious there too. He'd have zero patience for Wit as well. -

I think the combination of Tyrion and Wit would be fabulous. I'd like to see Stannis and the Highprinces too. He'd have zero patience with them. Would be awesome. And the Nights King would probably bond with Odium. -
The Sleepless. A natural creation of Roshar's magic.
Toaster Retribution replied to Calderis's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think that this theory can be used as an argument for the bond focus. If you look at the bonds as the essential part of the magic, the Sleepless grows naturally from that, which is something I think that an armchair scientist like Brandon would like. The fact that this is basically evolution of species thanks to a magic system is the kind of worldbuilding we expect from Brandon. If we believe in the spren focus, we kind if need another explanation. The fact that bonds and Sleepless fits wonderfully makes the bond-idea stronger. Now you just need to figure out how to incorporate the Siah Aimians into this. They should also have a bond connection, otherwise they wouldn't fit with the system. -
[OB] Oathbringer Chapter 1-3
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
We don't know how Dalinar usually behaved after battles though. He only stopped the pillaging because of his promise to the archer. If it hadn't been for that, he might have been torching houses and raping women for all we know. He was also completely okay with the men under his command doing stuff like this, so it doesn't appear to bother him much. @Krios I still don't think that Dalinar saw a specific person in that shardplate, more what Odiums champion would be in general. I do like the idea of a Herald being the champion though. I'd much rather have that than Eshonai or Szeth. I would put my money on the champion being either Jezrien or Taln, possibly Chana because it would be cool. -
An axe made by the metal that the Rider swords in Eragon is made of. Then I'd awaken it with the command "chop me some wood" and strap Susebron to it.

I found ishar and Chana!!!!!
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
I doubt they have the same insanity. Of course I don't have any proof for them watching Mr T, but I do feel it is more likely than just wandering around the Palanaeum. -

Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
First, great find. Second, I disagree. We think that Paliah is in the Palaneum as well, and Mr. T has the Diagram. Two Heralds around the creator of the Diagram? I doubt they are there for the library. After all, they probably know more than what any of the books there can tell us. -
I'll comment on my own thread. My dad didn't enjoy TFE much, and prefers more cynical, darker fantasy-stories (Abercrombie and Martin). He didn't think it was outright bad, but he didn't like the ball scenes and the only character he liked was Vin. I also have a friend who doesn't like epic fantasy in general. She has looked at some Cosmere-books, but never read any. She likes prose, so Sanderson isn't really her thing.

So wait, you are actually two people? In real life?

Ah, now I get it! Well, up here in Sweden I just hear that a lot of stuff in AU (thought you meant Arcanum Unbounded first) is poisonous. Dont know if its true though. -
[OB] Oathbringer Word Counts
Toaster Retribution replied to OrangeJedi's topic in Stormlight Archive
Great job @OrangeJedi! I don't mind the chapter lenghts much, and I agree with @JoyBlu in that this might be the reason for the wierd feel of the chapters. And I am definitely in for more POVs. -
Ask Toaster Retribution Anything!
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in AMAs
Maybe. If I was hungry and had nothing better to eat. Then again, a toaster who ate the bread would be a bad toaster. I like many, but Kylo Ren is my number one favorite. Last Jedi cant come quick enough! There are a lot of good ones, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 takes the cake. I must confess that I don't understand this part of your message -

I would burn it to crisps with the fires of retribution! Or you'd get a toast if you ask nicely. -
I look forward to Apocalypse Guard, and I think we should be happy about tye steady stream of content we have received, and will receive. Besides, one of the short-stories being Cosmere is quite likely. And theorizing from Oathbringer will probably keep us busy for years. The only thing that saddens me is the long wait until we get to learn who Trell is.

Why Doctor Who is Dying
Toaster Retribution replied to Modal Seoul's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I have never seen an episode of Doctor Who in my life (is that a mortal sin by the way?) but I know how diehard the community is, so I have a hard time seeing it die anytime soon. -
I wonder if anyone here knows someone who dislikes Brandons works (hard to imagine such a person, but they exist). And if you do know someone who doesn't like his books, it would be interesting to hear why. To get another perspective (and maybe some fun stories too). However, I don't want this to turn into a thread where people bash others for their criticisms of Brandons books. We are not here to get mad at people (I probably don't need to say this, considering the nice-level of this forum). That said, lets get started. Anyone who knows anyone who dislikes Sanderbooks?

[OB] Oathbringer Chapter 1-3
Toaster Retribution replied to Steeldancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
@JoyBlu I like your thought about similarities between spren and rythms. I also admire you for reading through these 12 pages. Oh, and the Everstorm most likely contains Odiums investiture. I don't know if we have a name for that, but I guess it is what fuels Voidbinding. -

I agree about the fake deaths. Also, Kaladin saving everyone, all the time.
