It's all relative. Speeding up everything else and slowing down everything in the bubble around you may not be the exactly same things, but the effects are the same. Just assume that while bendalloy speeds up timeflow in the bubble, cadmium slows it down. Therefore, no problems with infinite spaces and energies.

I find it amusing to read about American schools. Cause I know them only from films, TV series and comics ^^

The bland romance in each of Brandon's books I have read
Oversleep replied to Luciellav's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Shshshshsh? Did I miss some Dalinar's flashback from Oathbringer? Why in Stormlight Archive there is no much room for romance? Well, they've got Apocalypse going on. They have priorities. I'm not surprised why Kaladin left for Hearthstone immediately. -
Well, we have just surpassed the realm of the books, so THINGS CHANGE, STANFORD PINES. THINGS...CHANGE.

If you were refering to my post, I want to explain my point: it's not about the show ruining books' plotlines. I'm talking about the whole premise of the plot. Everybody fails. The moment when somebody becomes main character, whatever (s)he's planning will fail (if lucky) and backfire (unlucky). Nobody succeedes in anything. It's boring and predictable. It's like watching Greek tragedy, but one which lasts for years and introduces new characters when the previous ones die.

Rusts, I forgot that Shattering gives as a timeframe. Since Shattering was "thousands of years ago" and not even millions, then we can safely throw the Shardpools proximity argument away... unless... Shardic radioactivity! They got radiated with Investiture! Both of them, so BAM, Feruchemy! Mutations are going faster in that cases!

Well, evolution takes much more time than 1000 years.

Well, Ars Arcanum talks about Windrunners canceling Spiritual gravitational connection to the planet and temporarily binding it in another direction. So it seems that gravity also has Three Aspects. And you can manipulate it by manipulating the Spiritual Aspect of gravity. In fact, Ars Arcanum says that Reverse Lashing creates a bubble imitating its spiritual connection to the ground below. It is suspected it is a specialized version of Basic Lashing. So there shouldn't be any problem with attracting Invested Objects - interference of Investiture doesn't occur, as you're infusing something else; and Invested Objects interact with gravity normally, so I'd say that yes, Reverse Lashing works on everything.

We do not really know that We have evidence of regular humans killing koloss in battle What is gonna Thug do? Maybe he could get a chance to land one hit before he gets sliced in half. We have seen Shardbearers slaughter enemy armies just fine, and mind you: those weren't some puny humans, those were warform Parshendi (who can jump chasms at ease and are bigger than humans)

It wouldn't be no longer "burning", but "exploding" Anyway, godmetals are quite special in their own systems. Lerasium - allows you to burn anything Atium - steals everything Harmonium - it probably should be something like "universal metalmind", perhaps. I don't think it's ettmetal. Naturally occuring godmetals are incredibly rare - there were only sixteen beads of lerasium (probably ever). Preservation cut off a part of Ruin and forced it constantly produce atium and atium was still very rare. The amount of ettmetal they use is way too high to be a godmetal. They based their technology around it. Even if we assume that Sazed is producing harmonium as hard as atium was and that it is at two time greater rate (cause he is double Shard) it still doesn't match up.

The Problem with Sanderson's writings

What do you think about Elend beheading Jastes? -
I think that internet would be better if we had more people thinking like you. I think you deserve an upvote. I think I already upvoted this and that it deserves more upvotes.

I felt I want a drink. So I came up to my dad and asked what do we have and what can I do with it. He proposed whisky with cola, but I said that's what I usually drink. Then he proposed Cuba Libre (rum + cola + lemon juice) but it turned out we have run out of rum. So he said I could try a classic : 2 parts of vodka, 1 part of any liqueur, 4 parts of orange juice. After going through the shelves, I found brown cocoa liqueur. He warned me it's quite experimental to compose something like that, but I went with it. And you know what? I love it.

Do we know whether Reverse Lashing works less on Invested Objects? Because Basic Lashing requires infusing the object with Stormlight, but Reverse Lashing creates a gravitaty field. Shardblades interact normally with gravity, so I'd expect that Reverse Lashing works just as well on Invested Objects as on regular ones...

Writing with different types of characters in fantasy
Oversleep replied to Alfa's topic in Creator's Corner
Sooner or later he would find himself on TVTropes, it was inevitable. Better to start building immunity now. (for example right now I have only FOUR tabs opened and I am about to close one and I haven't clicked on a single link in that tab. Another one of the tabs doesn't have any links. Soon I will master the TVTropes! *cue dramatic music*) -

Here's the link you want. Just in case, it's not like I'm implying that TVTropes sucked you in and you got lost in it... -
It finally learned my name. Time to clear the cookies and see how long it takes for it to learn again.

How about having a discussion on the whole secret identity/unmasking thing and having a character offer to borrow the other one Civil War to read as it has some good points relevant to the situation?

In case you don't know it already, I am pointing you to TVTropes. Seems like your kind of place. -
I was going through what I posted to FB in the last 15 months or so.

Why the mechanism that allows that even exists? Why do the author of the clip has to prove he's innocent to have his clip back on youtube? Why do we allow companies to take down things without any control? They just "say" (I know it's a work of algorithm, not a human) to take it down and it's taken down. No questions asked, the author doesn't even had a chance to defend himself. And he shouldn't even have to defend himself, it's on the accuser to prove that the accused is guilty. But it's worse: not only Fox forces something to be taken down, they also stole from that person. That's so wrong on so many levels.

Is it just me or plot got a lot faster? Theon just teleported to Iron Islands from Winterfell in the same time it took Brianne, Sansa and... urgh, Brianne's squire (cannot remember his name, really) to ride from WInterfell to the Castle Black.

Steal a clip from youtube Use it in your show Make Youtube take it down on basis of copyrights source Rusting storms like that make me really furious.

Well, I'm talking about means of personal travel. If a character can go about the speed of a train, that's a Steelrunner. If character has ability of flight, he's faster than a runner (compare all the examples of personal flight in fiction - I cannot recall a single flying character that was slower than a running man). BTW, escape pod may be slower than a train, but a Coinshot is way faster than a train.
